Hilda said that the Imperial soldiers occupying the small nation were under the command of Eliza Eva. Since Hilda served Eliza Eva, her name and face were well-known among the soldiers, making it relatively easy for her to commandeer a carriage from the station.

Cecily and her group boarded the four-wheeled carriage Hilda had prepared, pulled by two horses, and began their escape. Hilda took the driver’s seat, while Cecily, Luke, and Ewen hid inside the carriage’s compartment. To conserve space, Aria reverted to her sword form and remained sheathed. The weapons, including Luke’s katana and Aria’s scabbard, had been kept by Hilda and were easily retrieved.

Due to the large size of the carriage, it couldn’t navigate narrow alleys. It barreled down the city’s main streets, rushing past startled citizens and soldiers who turned to see what the commotion was about.
