Luke gave an awkward chuckle. “Yeah, I know exactly what you’re thinking. If we use Infernal Bladecraft again, I probably won’t survive. And Lisa will have to give up more than just her hair.”

Lisa’s demonic ability, Infernal Bladecraft, could create weapons as powerful as real Infernal Blades, but it came with a great cost. The demon had to offer their own flesh, while the caster had to sacrifice their own soul.

The consumption of Luke’s soul was gradually eating away at his body and had already taken his eyesight. If he used Infernal Bladecraft again in his current state, it might break him for good. Lisa wouldn’t come out unscathed either.

“I understand,” Hannibal sighed. “I just wanted confirmation. Besides, one copy of that Infernal Katana wouldn’t be enough, would it?”
