“Ghh… ugh!”

Suddenly, her entire body felt heavy.

Fatigue caught up to her all at once, and her limbs refused to move properly. Her sword swings slowed dramatically. In that brief opening, the hands and feet easily slipped past her defenses and lashed with their nails. Her thigh, shoulder, cheek, and forehead—all were cut. Though she avoided fatal wounds, pain flared across her body, rocking her focus.

The taste of iron filled her mouth. She swallowed it down with her saliva.

Should I fall back?

The thought flashed through her mind, but she clenched her teeth and shook it off. Behind her were the former Sacred Sword and Lisa. A careless retreat wasn’t an option. No room for weakness. Cecily roared as if to rebuke herself. She slashed fiercely at a hand, sweeping it aside, struck a foot with her fist to force it back, then activated the Sacred
