Chapter 3: Sacred Sword

The table was packed with food and ingredients.

There was soup made with pork bones for broth, kiln-baked wheat bread, salted meat, steamed potatoes, a simple stew of mutton and vegetables seasoned with basic spices, fresh fruits, and a basket piled high with washed raw vegetables.

A towering woman—the Sacred Sword—devoured it all at an incredible pace.

She didn’t use a spoon for the soup, just drank straight from the bowl. When the fork snapped under her strength, she grabbed the food with her bare hands. People watched, wondering what she’d do with the unseasoned, raw vegetables—and saw her open her mouth wide and chomp them whole. Table manners were completely out the window. Her once-pristine white vestments grew dirtier by the second, around the collar and cuffs. She ate like a child.
