“Aria.”
Because she was lost in thought—or more precisely, because she still hadn’t grown used to her temporary name—her response came late. She slowly turned around to find two humans standing behind her.
A tall and lanky girl, and a woman dressed in black.
“U-Um…”
“Yes?”
The tall girl swallowed her words. Her brows drooped, her lips pressed tightly together, and she looked to be on the verge of tears. Aria could only feel bewildered by the sudden reaction—though it didn’t show on her face.
“Sorry to just approach like this.” The woman in black stepped forward in the tall girl’s place. “I’m not sure how to put this, but… well, we knew the former you.”
“The former me. You mean the rapier Infernal Blade, Aria?”
“Ah, well, we knew her too, but I’m actually talking about the other one.”
“Ah, the kris Infernal Blade.”
