“Listen up!” A thunderous voice silenced the uproar in an instant.Hannibal had stepped in beside Hugo, leaning forward. “The speech isn’t over yet!”
The crowd flinched. Seizing that moment of hesitation, Hugo raised his voice again.
“The true intentions of the Imperial Federation remain unclear.”
Did they simply want this land, rich in Aetheria, or the lucrative trade in jewel steel? No one yet understood what they sought to gain through such excessive force.
“But one thing is certain. You should remember it well. The Independent Trade City was once attacked by the Inhuman weapons and hordes of demons unleashed by the Imperial Federation. And in the statement—practically a declaration of war—there was not a single mention of surrender or peace. Do you understand?
