Trial – Part 02

After their battle with the warrior wielding the Infernal Blade Francisca, the woman had suddenly appeared before them. She had no clothing and, possibly due to some lingering condition, could only manage simple responses. Leaving a naked woman stranded in the middle of the road wasn’t an option, so Cecily and the others had no choice but to take her in temporarily.

On their way back, they stopped in villages and towns, trying to leave her to someone, but she refused.

Cecily had tried to reason with her.

“We have to leave the Crowd Powers. We can’t take a citizen of this country beyond its borders.”

The woman had said nothing more. In conversations, she would answer only in “affirmative” or “negative”. Beyond that, she remained stubbornly silent, unwilling to share anything specific.
