Francisca was officially in charge of overseeing the Infernal Blades owned by Siegfried. Among them, Eliza Eva was rare for her hedonistic nature. Francisca often struggled with how to handle her.
The carriage was approaching the crossroads. Another main road crossed this one directly, and a left turn would bring them right to the government office where their master was.
“Why not just ask Lord Siegfried directly?”
“Come back us up, then.”
“We’d feel better with your help.”
“That’s a no.”
Eliza Eva tilted her head twice in confusion at the quick refusal.
“Why?”
“Why’s that?”
“We’ve been burned by this man many times. It would be better to kill him while we have the chance.”
“I see.”
“You’re quite the conservative, aren’t you, Francisca?”
“You’ve fought him more than once, haven’t you? Then you should understand how troublesome he is. If you let your guard down…”
