Black-armored figures were in pursuit. Having once served under Eliza and Eva, Hilda recognized their nature immediately. These were warriors with inhuman physical abilities, their bodies hosting demons—Gaston Baskervilles.
Three Gastons were rapidly closing the distance. Behind them, Eliza Eva walked leisurely, their every step exuding calm. But their narrowed eyes seemed sharp enough to pierce everything they touched.
This was hopeless. She was going to die. She was going to be killed. Hilda resigned herself to her fate.
“I’m sorry for dragging you into this. I know you didn’t want to face that Infernal Blade.”
“Wh-Why are you saying this now?!”
“I’ll take responsibility. So please, at the very least, save Luke.”
Before she could respond, Ewen abruptly released his hold on the blacksmith, shifting all the weight to Hilda. She stumbled under the sudden strain.
“What are you—?!”
