Valbanill 2 – Part 13

His movements defied all reason.

There was nothing unusual about his tactics themselves. He never overextended, struck the nearest Inhuman weapon, then quickly retreated. To minimize chipping his blade, he avoided clashing weapons whenever possible. His katana was used strictly for cutting flesh.

He followed the fundamentals of one-against-many combat with almost obsessive precision. His style was logical and textbook. What set him apart was the sheer volume of movement and his evasive skill.

He moved constantly, dodging easily. The beasts carrying mounds of swords on their backs couldn’t lay a finger on him.

These Inhuman weapons previously had their two front legs replaced with long, thick spears, but there were no modifications done this time. Their original, powerful four-legged bodies remained intact, making them far more mobile than before. In fact, they had managed to surround him early in the fight, sealing off all escape routes.

And yet
