While we kept going, we ran into one more swarm of Miasma Demons, and two more swarms of Hunger Demons.

Then somehow, I started to get a very bad feeling.

I took off my armour and started preparing to dive.

Suzuran looked very used to the process.

「Are there going to be monsters?」

「Yeah.  But only Starfish Mines.」

「As long as you dodge the bottom, you should be fine.」

Yep.

I understood what they were saying, but it was still scary.

I recalled every Summoned Monster except Nias.

「Follow after me, Keith. Suzuran, I’ll leave the back to you.」

「Oh, okay.」

「Got it!」

There was no real need to worry.

I went for it.

I jumped into the salty water.

No armour, and no weapons.

I couldn’t reach the bottom of the cave.

Jirou immediately took off, so I quickly followed after him.

Light was still entering the cave from somewhere, and I could see the bottom of the cave.

The water was very transparent.

It was beautiful.

If there weren’t any Starfish Mines, that is.

The bottom was filled with Starfish Mines.

Well, I had no reason to go down to touch them.

I didn’t have the freedom to pick fights.

Something came up next to me.

It was Nias.

With Nias taking the lead, I slowly kept swimming.

Watching Nias swim was beautiful too.

But in just a moment, that beautiful scene was taken away.

I surfaced and stepped foot in another part of the cave.

It was actually pretty close!

I was right about to suffocate down there!

I gave back Nias all of her equipment.

Everyone from her party was avoiding her gaze.

So that’s what it was about.

Nias was definitely very attractive.

Especially when she surfaced from the water in just a top.

I replaced my Summoned Monster team.

Obsidian, Goki, Tigris, Ninetails, and Nias.

When Suzuran’s lecture was over, we kept going.

There was still a lot of the cave to explore.

「Look at that.」

「Wow.」

Suzuran and Obsidian were the first to spot the monster.

Two coloured demons.

One was red, and the other was green.

I wasn’t in range to use 【Identify】, so I couldn’t check their level.

「The red one tends to use brute force, while the blue one uses more technique… But what about the green one?」

「It doesn’t have any weapons… So I’d assume punches and kicks and wrestling moves.」

「Huh.」

Suzuran gave me some tips.

Apparently, the different demons had different fighting styles.

While I was at it, I asked about the other demons.

The yellow demon tended to use elemental special skills.

While the black demon was always a Dark Attribute monster, and had the ability to disappear for short periods of time.

「Well, I’ll take them on this time.」

「Be careful.」

I hadn’t thought about which side to tackle.

They weren’t really an enemy I was used to!

But I decided to try fighting the green one.

Almost forgot to use strengthening spells.

It was my first time fighting it, after all.

Tigris bit into the red demon’s belly and was tearing it apart.

What a horrific sight.

As the red ogre fell to the ground, all hope was lost for it.

With Nias’s spear, its right hand was skewered into the ground.

Its left arm had already been destroyed by Goki.

But the red demon really did fight bravely.

But there really was nothing it could do.

Looking at them fight was really calming.

Oops.

I had to focus on the green demon.

It really was using a martial arts fighting style.

But it really wasn’t very good at it, to be honest.

I didn’t even have to use 【Practiced Spirit】.

I could easily counter most of its attacks.

When it was standing up, it looked very strong…

But it was quite easy to throw it onto the ground, and get on top of it.

While I was performing a naked choke on it, I even had the freedom to admire my surroundings.

I definitely felt power in its body.

But only about as much as a Mezu?

It was definitely nothing compared to a Mezu General, or a Wendigo.

I snapped its neck.

I checked its HP bar.

It wasn’t at zero yet.

I smashed its head against the ground one final time.

With that, the fight was over.

The body of the demon disappeared.

What did it leave behind?

Nothing.

I even had 【Disassembly】active.

「How was it?」

「Well, it’s definitely stronger than the other demons we’ve fought so far.」

Yeah.

That was certainly true.

It was much stronger than a Devil or a Hunger Demon.

「Well then, let’s get going. We’re almost at the place we need your help for.」

「Got it.」

We reached the place in no time.

A large cave, with two exits in the walls.

Seawater was filling up parts of the cave.

Statues were blocking off the exits.

The first statue was one of a wind god, and the other, of a thunder god.

Joji and his team went to the left.

I went to the right.

We could use whispers to communicate.

The cave was pretty wide, so the distance between the two statues was too long to conveniently chat.

If only I could fly like Obsidian…

I had a feeling… No, I was sure that I would have to fight the wind god.

What kind of opponent would it be?
