Right now, the time should be around 9:30 AM.
I have just arrived in the Grey Forest.
Has anything changed since the last time I was here?
There were some changes indeed.
Looks like a space where the Summoned Monsters could be gathered has been added.
What a nice addition.
「Ah! Keith, over here!」
It’s Adel.
My God, why does she have to be so goddamn loud about something as simple as an ordinary greeting?
At first I thought that Adel and Irina were the only ones here, but as it turns out they have brought other Summoners with them.
Haruna and Konohana.
And also Hyodor-kun?
「Hello there. Long time no see.」
「Oh? You’re here already? And here I was thinking that we’ll have to wait some more for you to arrive.」
「But that sure makes me feel at ease now. I’m glad I was finally able to come back.」
It seems that Hyodor-kun and his companions, whom he has apparently made a Union with have not been able to Log In for quite some time.
Hmm, let’s see here…
Hyodor-kun’s Race Lv. is Lv.8, the same as the level of his Summoning Magic skill and the number of monsters he can summon simoultaneously is only three.
Yeah, with such low level and stats doing anything in this part of the map would be insanely difficult for him, so I understand why he would want someone stronger and more experienced to accompany him.
「Uhm, Haruna and Konohana, right? If you don’t mind me asking, what do you guys want to do?」
「I don’t know. Whatever you guys decide I’ll just roll with it I guess. In short: I’m lost.」
「I want to go to the eastern sea, or if that’s a no-go, just continue to go south in general.」
Wow.
Your goals are so all over the place that I don’t even know where to begin with my comments.
「Adel, Irina? Maybe a little help here? What do you want to do?」
「I want to go north!」
「As long as I can get enough EXP to guarantee a Class Change then I’m fine with going wherever.」
Yep.
Adel is so easy to understand that I almost feel sorry for her.
She and Irina are both Summoner Lv.14 and are about to have a Class Change.
Haruna And Konohana are both on Lv.13.
And Hyodor-kun is Lv.8
With all that said…. There are too many destinations!
Everyone wants to go to a different place!
And the level gaps are a bit too much as well!
We are a textbook definition of an unbalanced party!
「So Keith, do you have a plan?」
I do.
I do have a plan that might just work out…
But it might be hard to pull off with Hyodor-kun here with us.
If only he managed to increase his level by 2, then we might just be able to pull it off, but otherwise…
「There is something that I wanted to do to the south. The capturing of the S5 map.」
「Eh?」
「Say what now?!」
「Whoa!」
Everyone looked at each other with shocked faces and then at me as if I was a total madman.
Yeah, I get that this idea might sound more than a little crazy to all of you normies, but trust me, hang around me long enough and you’ll get used to it in no time.
「I also want to do some further testing of a new spell I have obtained recently.」
「A new spell you say? What kind of spell, exactly?」
「Ah, you know, just a Fly spell.」
「The one that lets you fly in the air?!」
「The very same, yes.」
「So you mean that your Wind Magic has already reached Lv.15?!」
「Since that was the requirement for unlocking it then yes, I believe it has reached that exact level.」
See, they have already taken the bait.
Especially Adel and Haruna.
Now I believe all I need to reel them in is just one more little push….
「Oh, and I guess I could also use that occasion to improve the levels of the newest Summoned Monster that has been added to my collection.」
「You have a new monster?! What is it?!」
「A Giant Scorpion. You wanna see it?」
Now they should be caught all the way in.
Adel and Haruna show great interest in seeing my newest monster.
The same goes for Konohana.
Hyodor-kun still seems to be a bit anxious, but it looks like he’s interested as well.
I guess that only leaves Irina now.
「I want to see it! Come on, just show us already!」
「No so fast. This place is no good. Scorpions need a hot and dry environment, like a desert.」
I can practically see a little horned figures sitting on their shoulders, whispering into their ears how much they want to see it.
Are these little things monsters?
No, not at all.
Those are simply the manifestations of their desires.
I just stimulated them a little.
「Ah, but I guess my level is too low when compared to the rest of you. Maybe it would be better for me not to accompany you after all?」
「No, that won’t be necessary. While it’s true that your level is lower than the rest of us, it just means that you have to raise it a bit.」
Did that convinced her?
Have I caught her as well?
Yes, she seems to have fallen to the power of sweet talk.
That it was Adel’s, not mine, is but a small detail of no real significance.
In the end, a total of six Summoners headed south.
Even I didn’t expect that there will be so many of us, but that is not a problem.
I would even say that such a setting is more convenient.
As we were continuing along the way, I called back all of my Summoned Monsters.
Everyone looked at me rather strangely.
Hm?
Ah, that’s right. I guess I at least owe them an explanation.
「Since there are so many of us, we should move without our monsters from now on. It will make moving around much easier.」
「Eh?」
「Moving around… much easier?」
「Well, I guess you can call it an experiment.」
That’s right.
If I don’t increase the number of targets that I want to use Fly on, I will never know how big of a burden on my MP bar it’s going to be.
That is what I want to check, and for that I need to make others my guinnea pigs.
Sorry, but I’m not sorry about that.
「Keith, are you… thinking about using that Fly spell on us, by any chance?」
「That is on my agenda.」
As expected of Irina, she was always the one to catch on to things quickly.
Aaaand as I might have expected, she’s already giving the looks.
Before we go any further, we stop to buy supplies in the Grey Forest.
I said supplies, buy I mostly bought food and little else.
As we all did our shopping, I tried to lecture everybody about the Fly spell as much as I could.
We then left the Grey Forest and went somewhere where there was no other players besides us.
Alright.
Now comes the first barrier we have to break through.
I cannot say that I mastered the art of flight after only using Fly for a few times, so I’m worrying about how the rest of my group is going to handle it.
I guess we’re about to find out.
