Chapter 232 Part 3
Using a magnetic compass I have determined our current position.
So far, we have not proceeded straight towards the center of the S5 map, where the Area Portal should be located.
We were getting there, but in an incredibly roundabout way.
We should be going forward, but it might also be a good idea to proceed exactly like we were up until now to get some more EXP, money and items.
Hyodor-kun has already increased the levels of his Class, Race and Summoned magic skill.
Adel, Irina, Haruna and Konohana are close to Level Ups themselves, but they are not quite there yet.
It would be nice if they all got those Leve Ups before we’ll go challenge the Area Portal, especially since both Adel and Irina are on the verge of undergoing a Class Change.
So in order to help them with that, why don’t we up the difficulty by a notch or two?
The time is approximately 2:50 PM.
Haruna’s Race level and Summon Magic skill Level have increased.
Then one of Irina’s Summoned Monsters, Howl the Wolf, went through a Class Change.
What was her choice again?
Ah yes, Black Wolf.
Of course, she was aiming for Fuze Monster.
Around 3:20 PM.
Konohana’s Race level, Class Level and Summon Magic skill level have increased.
Haruna’s Class level also improved.
Both of them were nearing Lv.14, which means that they will be able to go through the Class Change themselves.
But I don’t think they will be able to do it today just yet.
Adel and Irina, however, were an entirely different story.
Approximately around 3:40 PM.
After we have defeated the Sphinks, the fated time has finally came upon Irina.
「Adel-chan, I did it! I can finally change my Class!」
「Yay! Congratulations!」
Irina was the one who could go through Class Change earlier.
Well done, Irina.
Hehehe, so far, everything’s going according to keikaku!
Now what dis she end up choosing?
Of all the potions available to her, she decided on a Sage.
An expected result, since I just can’t picture someone like her becoming a Necromancer out of the blue.
《【Identify】skill Level Up！》
After I got another Lion Sage’s Needle from the defeated Sphinks, the level of my 【Identify】skill went up.
A nice addition, but the main focus today is making sure that my companions will Level Up as much as possible, so I’m not paying that much attention to it.
The current progress is nice and all, but it’s just not enough.
We need to keep this up at least until Adel is able to go through a Class Change as well.
At 4:20 PM.
Adel finally gained another level when she managed to dispose of an entire group of Mummies all by herself.
You’d think that this would be a cause to rejoice, but it was in fact not, because of a certain problem that has suddenly presented itself to us.
「There is no Necromancer to choose as an option for the Class Change!」
There it is.
But I wonder why’s that?
Has something went wrong somewhere?
I don’t remember something like that ever happening to me, so I have no idea how to react to it or what to say.
But after a bit of investigating, we immediately found out the reason for Adel’s current predicament.
Well, not exactly a reason per se, but rather a prediction of the reason.
Most probably Adel can’t change her Class into Necromancer because she does not have any Undead Monsters in her repertoire.
That is probably why it couldn’t be picked as one of the possible options.
Personally, it was present when I went through my own Class Change, and just like we saw earlier, Irina had that option as well.
We have no way of knowing it for sure, but at the very least that is what we assumed to be the case.
With her intended option out of her reach for now, Adel decided on becoming a Grand Summoner.
She is now in the same Class as me.
I think that as far as preparations could go, we did just about all we could have done.
Adel and Irina got their Class Changes, and Hyodor-kun has also improved significantly in such a short amount of time.
Lemme me check real quick.
Yeah, His Race, Class and Summoning Magic skill have all Leveled Up.
His other skills have also improved, but that is not what’s important right now.
What’s really important is that he can now summon up to four Summoned Monsters at once.
And he can summon himself a brand new one.
All of that will be a great improvement to our battle potential.
「Wow, this is actually a first time where I have gained two whole levels in one day!」
His reaction to it was so straightforward that it was actually kinda cute.
You think that’s great, huh?
Well, I think so too.
Another great thing came from Adel and Irina.
With their new Class Changes, they have obtained Alchemy skill Fusion Identification and Summoning Magic’s spell Fuse Monsters.
I wonder if this will improve our situation even more than I have initially expected?
Right now, we might have enough to actually use Instant Portal.
That is actually what we all agreed on doing together.
Some time later, inside of the Instant Portal.
Adel, Irina, Haruna and Konohana were doing their best together as they joined forces in order to battle the enemies within.
It looks like Haruna and Konohana were also posting something on the Bulletin Board.
Also, Konohana has added a viper to her party, and Haruna bolstered her own ranks with a Lion.
I have to say, I am amazed at how quickly they can jump from doing one thing to another?
Is this what people call a high-level multitasking ability?
Well, if it works for them, then you sure as hell won’t see me complaining about that.
Hyodor-kun has summoned his own monsters as well.
A lion and a giant scorpion.
Since I have some free time on my hands, I might as well run Fusion Identification on my own giant scorpion.
After all, ever since I have summoned Peptide for the first time I haven’t even done that, did I?
Yeah, I that time I had so many things going on that I kinda forgot to do it and it hadn’t occurred to me until this very moment.
Well, that oof is entirely on me then, so let’s get to it.
《The chosen monster cannot be used as a part of Monster Fusion.》
Hmm.
I was wondering if the giant scorpion could be used as a component in Monster Fusion, but apparently that is not the case here.
A shame.
「Keith-san, we have huge trouble over here!」
「A new pair of monsters has arrived!」
「What?! Isn’t that just another Black Wolf or something that’s similar to it?!?!」
「We already confirmed that! It’s an Orthros!」
「First time I’ve heard of it!」
Hoho.
So there are still variations of enemies that I haven’t heard about, huh?
「And that other one?!」
「That’s a Nue!」
「Oh, is that so?」
「What’s with that reaction, you jerk?! Aren’t you the least bit surprised?!」
「To be honest, no. Moreover, I thought something like that might happen sooner or later.」
When I heard the name Nue, I immediately remembered the happenings from the S1W3 map.
Two monsters started appearing there after my monsters went through the Class Changes.
Those were Chimera and Nue.
Since Chimera can be made through the usage of Monster Fusion, then it shouldn’t be all that surprising that the same can happen with Nue, especially since those two seem to be closely associated with one another.
「So? Care to tell us something about them?」
「It’s a strong one of course.」
「Really? Then I want one too!」
「Of course you do.」
Of course, they didn’t have to ask me for my opinion.
But that’s another lucky happening for us.
This is going to be another great addition to our strength in our mission of conquering the Area Portal.
