I can clearly feel that the enemies have almost finished casting their spells.
But that is fine.
What I am aiming for is the counter.
To that end, I select the next spell for me to execute.
The Gods’ magical energy continues to swell, until it is being released in the form of various attack spells shot towards me and my Summoned Monsters from their masks.
But it was the moment I’ve been waiting for.
「Dimension Mirror!」
With how many different attacks are coming at us, I didn’t have the time to carefully counter each and every one of them, choosing this general purpose counter spell instead.
All of the attacks bounce off of the invisible wall in front of us.
The Gods themselves suffered little damage from that action, but the Killer Scorpions summoned by Sebek were wiped out.
That is as good of a result as any.
At the very least I’ve bought myself some more breathing space to plan my next move.
But as a side note…
That barrage of magical attacks just now was pure bullshit!
Can you imagine what would have been left of us if I didn’t have Dimension Mirror or if I had been late with casting it?!
Now that’s scary thought that I don’t want to even think about!
And all that sand under my feet does not exactly help either.
So here’s what I’m going to do to get it out of the way.
Feel free to call me crazy for it, but…

If it looks stupid but works, then it’s not stupid at all.
Oh, and I think I don’t have to mention that, but I am the target of the Fly spell, since I am the only member of our team who can actually engage such powerful enemies in close quarters combat without being crippled by the fear of dying.
This time the magical power of two other Gods has been skyrocketing.
The one with the crocodile mask and the one with the bird mask.

The distance between me and them is too big for me to use Spell Vibration!
I won’t be able to stop them in time, and it looks like they are summoning their own monsters as well!

What appeared next was a small army of over 30 huge crocodiles and twenty birds of prey with curved beaks.
What even is this, I have never seen that type of bird before!
However, now was definitely not the time to be staying in one place and be taken aback.
As I am gliding through the air, I’m approaching the two Gods responsible for the current enemy summoning.
「Thunder Shower!」
I flew into the flock of Holy Ibises and casted my next spell.
Although the casting itself was successful, I have no way of confirming its exact effects.
And the situation seems to be getting worse by the minute.
Looks like another monster type is about to make its appearance!
What is it going to be this time?!

It’s a cat.
A black cat, to be exact.
But to be frank, it was closer in appearance to a leopard than your ordinary feline.

At this point, it doesn’t even matter where exactly I am aiming my spells.
With the enemies literally littering my field of vision my attack is bound to hit something sooner rather than later.
Like seriously, there is so many enemies!

What appeared before me are great numbers of Jackals.
And I’m having problems seeing the sheep enemies who supposedly appeared right behind them.
I think there are more than 50 of them in total, but I can be wrong.
It can be less, or it might as well be more.

「GRAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!」
Volff and Shishiko growled and howled towards the sea of monsters.
Approximately half of them stopped in their tracks as a result.
What follows next is the Breath of Orthros, Nue’s Lightning Strike and Teromea’s roar.
Shishiko also uses his Breath attack to help the others.
Hearther also joined in with her thunderbolts which she rained down on the enemies like a rainfall.
This is amazing.
Faced with such an overwhelming assault, the enemy hordes quickly scattered about in turmoil.
Could this be the opportunity that I’ve been waiting for?
Well apparently that’s what Volff was waiting for, because he ran straight into the herd of enemy monsters.
You, uhm… you sure you’re gonna be okay in there, buddy?
Cause, you know, Imma gonna fire another spell, so just… don’t let it hit you I guess?
「Light Explosion!」
I shot my spell into the enemies and Volff skillfully made his way through them without losing a single point of HP.
And just like that we have reached the part of the arena where the Gods have ran off to after summoning all those mobs to fight us.
I cancel my Fly spell and slowly make my way towards them.
Hello there bitches, fancy eating some of my weapons!?
Screaming that in my mind I swung my mace-holding hand right into the belly of the scorpion-masked God.
It was blown away in literally one shot.
Regrettably, it still had more than 50% of its HP remaining.
Can you believe the sheer audacity of this guy?
Or maybe that’s because it is really strong?
Well then, we’ll see how he’s going to like an uppercut with a tonfa followed by a whack to the jaw with the mace!
How about that?!
But even after those two attacks, the enemy still retained some of his HP.
But it looks like this time it has done the trick.
The God with a scorpion mask fell to the ground and stopped moving.
So that’s one down.
What’s the current situation?
The area behind me is crawling with so many enemies that they are starting to appear as nothing more but a giant black mass.
Shit, this doesn’t look good.
By using Whisper I could hear Adel and the others casting spells and using Martial Arts to reduce the enemy’s numbers as best as they could, but they will not hold out against such an onslaught.
I want to help them, but unfortunately I cannot divert my attention from the task at hand.
Guys, do your best to stay alive.
Just a little bit longer and it will all be over.
Which of the remaining Gods is the closest to me?
The one in my immediate vicinity was the one with the jackal mask.
From the looks of it, he is trying to summon something at his feet again!
Did he summon some of them already?
Luckily for me, that does not seem to be the case.
That means there is only one course of action for me here.
Get close enough to him and…
「Pulse Laser Burst!」
And hit him directly from the close range!
Next, I followed up my smashing my mace right into his chest.
This time it looks like this is going to be enough to finish him off.
No more monster summoning from you, huh?
Oh how I am not sorry for that, pal!

Allowing him to keep summoning the monster would have been better EXP gain-wise?
Whatever, I don’t give a fuck anymore!
Now I’m just going to kill all of them one after another!
The cat-faced God had Nue biting into her throat and her torso crushed by the strong grip of its snake-tail.
I think I can safely assume that she is done with, so now I will be moving towards the remaining ones.
And speaking of others.
The God with a crocodile mask will likely be bitten to death by the Orthros, since I clearly saw that one of his heads was biting the crocodile God’s torso and the other chomped on his thigh, almost biting it off in the process.
With wounds like that, there’s no way that he’s going to survive for long.
Okay, so far so good.
We might actually do this thing.
With a newfound determination, I trew myself into the dust cloud before me in the search of the new prey.
This event is starting to get pretty wild.
And I’m beginning to truly enjoy it!
