Chapter 233 Part 5
[What are you waiting for, Keith?! Let’s go hunt right now!]
Adel’s bright and cheerful voice echoed in my ears.
Ahh, such a peaceful atmosphere is really nice from time to time.
Just thinking about going back to my usual routine is making me feel just a little bit depressed.
[So you didn’t notice anything up until now?]
[Yup.]
The look of disappointment that Irina gave me really hurt my pride.
Ugh.
That’s right, I am an idiot for not noticing something so important any sooner. I admit that, okay?!
Here, I will even throw you a self-deprecating nod if it’s going to make you feel any better!
Okay, that’s enough self-loathing for now.
I need to do something to improve my mood.
And what is that something going to be?
Hunting down monsters, of course!
Yes, that is the foolproof method that has always worked for me so far.
Yes, that’s right.
Whenever I happen to be in a foul mood, going a little wild on the enemies has always been my to-go remedy to lift my spirits.
So with that in mind, I will go all out!
If I have so many negativities accumulated inside of me, it would be very counterproductive to keep bottling it all up inside myself.
When we got to the place that was going to act as our hunting grounds, it was already nighttime.
I still felt depressed about my blunder from earlier, but Adel’s presence on my side gave me some much-needed comfort.
Alright, now that we are finally here, I can finally actively do something to rid myself of this bad mood!
So let’s go at it from the very beginning!
My first prey is going to be the Sphinx and Spinks pair!
I rush towards them while keeping in mind the need to apply the strengthening spells first.
3 times.
The efficiency of casting my spells is 3 times.
Now that’s really efficient.
But even more than that, I am amazed at how easy it makes battles with random mobs.
Now I can deal with them even faster than before without wasting too much MP.
If that’s not a win then I don’t know what is!
Now shake it!
Shake it off!
I can see another group of monsters in the distance, so I prepared my favorite combo of weapons: Tokkosho and the Tonfas of Torture.
[True Practiced Spirit!] [Breath!] [Meditate!]
I prepared for the imminent combat by deploying my spells and martial arts.
I wonder if those guys will be able to alleviate my grudges even a little?
Both the efficiency and the speed of hinting have increased exponentially.
Up to two Offense Fall’s and Defense Fall’s can be applied at the same time.
That alone makes me feel super grateful to Irina for pointing out the error of my ways.
The Spinks that I was currently fighting had its wings burned to the bone and fell into a Pitfall, where it became easy prey for my Summoned Monsters.
Sphinx met exactly the same fate and fell to the ground with a loud crash.
Branch Bind binds its movement and additionally I weaken it with Attribute Seal, after which I made it go through a real pounding.
My mood?
Well I guess it improved a little.
But I’m not going to finish just yet.
I still feel like I haven’t vented enough.
I was not rampaging enough.
Stopping halfway like that would be nothing short of insulting now, so I will continue to go even wilder!
Especially when I noticed that no matter how many of them I have killed, I wasn’t able to get a single drop item!
And to make matters even worse, when I looked back to see how Adel was doing, I saw that she was getting one Lion Sage Needle after another!
You guys!
Hand them over!
There has to be some, just hand them over!
I’m getting depressed.
More!
It’s not enough!
[You good there Adel? Can you keep going?]
[Sure I can! I still have more than enough energy to spare!]
[You think so? The two of you have been really going at for a while now, are sure you’re okay?]
[What do you mean, “going at it”? I don’t feel like we did anything out of the ordinary.]
That Irina.
It’s good that she’s worrying about us, but I feel like she might be doubting us a little bit too much.
Well, in that case all I have to do is show her how amazing I have become now that I have read the information of the spells properly.
《【Sword】 skill Level Up!》
《【Fire Magic】 skill Level Up!》
《Obtained the 【Fire Magic】 spell Heat Body!》
《【Dust Magic】 skill Level Up!》
《【Sealing Technique】 skill Level Up!》
After that we hunted three more pairs of Spinkses and Sphinxes.
Now that the level of a number of my skills went up and I got myself a new spell, I felt like my mood has improved significantly.
Yeah, compared to how I felt before, now I feel totally calm.
I should be fine for now.
I also managed to get some Ancient stone Pillars from the Spinkses, so that was a nice bonus.
OK.
You see this, game?
You see how just a few drop items can improve a man’s mood from foul to fine?
If it’s so simple, then you should learn to do that to me more often!
The time is now 9:30 PM.
As expected, everybody’s MP reserves start to get really low.
Maybe that’s a sign that we should stop here for today?
[Well, should we Log Out of the Instant Portal for today?]
[Wait! Before we do that, there’s something that’s been on my mind, so I’d like everybody to listen.]
Hou?
I wonder what Irina is going to say.
But before we could all listen to her story…
We were attacked by another group of monsters!
Just what in the hell are they?
They look humanoid in shape, but I feel like I saw the headgears they are wearing somewhere before.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to 【Identify】 them properly.
After blocking the initial attack of the first enemy and pushing him away I looked around us, only to see that we are completely surrounded!
I didn’t even sense them approaching us, WTF?!
Those guys are seriously dangerous!
[A surprise attack?!]
[Adel-chan! Behind you!]
[Eh?! Enemy?! Are those enemies?!]
[Just shut up and focus on not getting hit by them!]
All of my strengthening spells should still be working, so that’s a saving grace in this unexpected encounter.
But I don’t know how much longer are they going to hold out.
I also don’t know who these guys are, but I feel like it’d be better not to give them any opportunity to try and gain the upper hand on us.
Another one of them tried to attack me.
Is it a sword he’s using?
I don’t know for sure but it looks kinda strange.
I avoided the attack and caught the head of the guy right below the headgear.
And then twisted it with a loud snap.
What?
Is that it?
Are they really this weak?
They must be, because the red marker signaling the presence of the enemy disappeared from above his head.
[Don’t be afraid of them! There might be a lot of them, but these guys are total pushovers!]
[[[[[Yes!]]]]]
After the initial confusion we managed to safely get our bearings together.
It’s also good to see that we can just overpower those chumps with sheer damage.
Now that I finally have the chance, let’s look at them with 【Identify】.
It turns out our enemies are those guys:
Sekhmet’s Servant Lv.6
Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Fire Attribute Wind Attribute
Sekmet’’s Underling Lv.6
Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Wind attribute
Sekhmet’’s Underling Lv.6
Target Subjugation Active
Battle Position: Ground Fire Attribute
In total, there are 6 Servants and around 50 Underlings.
If they weren’t really easy to kill I’d say that we’re in deep shit due to how many of them there are, but now it’s just a matter of wiping them out with AoE spells.
There are two types of Underlings.
I could have sworn that I have seen them somewhere before, but where was it, exactly?
Weren’t they mass-summoned by one of the Area Portal bosses, that Sekhmet fellow?
If they were, that would explain why I was able to 【Identify】 their Attributes as well.
Backwards compatibility really is a handy thing.
But if that’s the case here, then…
My Summoned Monsters… you know what to do with them!

Thanks for the treat.
