As soon as I finished my meal, I got up to keep moving.
I recalled Bunraku and summoned Denier.
Going through the room with the Yakushi Nyorai, I headed to the hall where the Haira was.
Were there any other players?
Nope. There was nobody else.
I could enjoy myself to the full.

I wasn’t so sure, but I knew that at some point, my【Heat Resistance】skill levelled up.
But there was also another reason to call for a short break.
It was about the General Haira.
General Haira dropped something.

I had a feeling that at one point or another, each of the Twelve Heavenly Generals would drop some kind of weapon.
But for the General Haira, it was a bow!
It was a bow, but it wasn’t so useful for me.
But I did have Summon Monsters that were good at using bows.
Two, to be exact. Goki and Bunraku.
Hmm?
Wait, what?
I hadn’t actually seen Bunraku or Goki with a bow in quite a while.
It was probably just my imagination.
It had to be that…
But with that, I had an entirely new set of goals to think about.
It would be very useful to get some better equipment from these Twelve Heavenly Generals.
And since it was equipment I couldn’t repair, and its durability couldn’t be recovered, I would have to consider getting myself several spares too, right?
But for the time being, I just wanted two more bows.
Well then.
It was time to really start hunting.
I had more incentive than ever to improve the rate at which I could take down the General Haira.
Several ideas came to mind.
When it came to spells, I had a feeling that spells like Gravity Prison, or Attribute Seal would work well.
When it came to my weapons, I could use my Petrified Wood Staff, my Lion Sage’s Fleuret, my Black Rope and my Snow Beast Mace.
Those weapons would be good for getting the General Haira on its knees quickly. After that, I could use my Vajra Sword to deal the finishing blow.
Wait, no… I had too many options!
I wanted to try each and every one of those options.
Yep…
I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try out all of them.
While I was at it, I decided to try using my Light Quartz Dagger and my Akasagarbha Spear too.
The Dragon Puppy was an opponent I couldn’t underestimate and get careless about fighting.
But after fighting that Dragon Puppy over and over again, I was really starting to get tired.
Why weren’t there any changes?
I kept going for a few rounds, taking care to switch up my weapons from time to time in order to keep things fresh.

It was strong.
The General Haira was at Level 7, and the Dragon Puppy was at Level 5, meaning that it was the strongest Dragon Puppy I had ever fought.
No, I was just grateful that the number of Dragon Puppies didn’t increase.
With the Dragon Puppies, its fighting strength was totally different even with a level difference of only one level.
It was a size I could fight in close range and wrestle with, but it was definitely still more annoying than the Sphinx and Spinks.
My strategy was to inflict the poison abnormal status condition as quickly as possible.
I had equipment that made something like that possible, after all.
Oops, almost forgot. There was Denier’s level-up and Class Change to take care of too.
I had to concentrate.
The stat that went up with Denier’s level-up was INT.
I had no choice. I put another point into SPI.

Did I really forget to check Denier?
My lack of management skills was really starting to shine through.

I had no doubt that it still meant that Denier would get stronger.

A large spider. Its main methods of attack are its bites and the accompanying poison.
It is known for making elaborate traps by skillfully weaving together silk threads.
That was scary to think about.
All the bites would have a chance of inflicting poison and paralysis, huh?
It was quite scary.
I suppose the “loom” in the name was a reference to Denier’s ability to use silk to make traps.
That line of thinking seemed solid.
I was just grateful that Denier was on my team! He seemed absolutely terrifying.

And there seemed to be the option to fuse Denier together with another Summon Monster too.
But what would be that other Summon Monster?
It was certainly not Volff, Jericho, Peptide or Telomere, since I had them summoned as well when I used Fusion Identification on Denier.

Thinking about it some more, I had never used Fusion Identification on Telomere before…

I tried it just in case.
I guess that was to be expected.
It would be quite scary if I could fuse Telomere to form another Summon Monster.
I couldn’t even imagine what kind of fearful Summon Monster that would be.
Well then.
It was time to recall Denier.
I summoned Strand.
At the pace I was going, I had a feeling I would be able to get all of my weaker Summon Monsters a Class Change.

The time was around 4:30 pm.
I was starting to get used to fighting Level 5 Dragon Puppies.
But just as I started thinking that, I was surprised by a sudden Level 6 Dragon Puppy becoming my enemy.
I managed to make Gravity Prison work in my favour though, and the fight ended safely.
But even then, I took quite a bit of damage.
I tried using regeneration spells to recover some of my HP bar in the fight, but I still ended up with less than 40% of my HP bar left at the end of the battle.
Yep, I really had to be more careful.
After that fight, I managed to secure my second Xiuyaojing Bow.
I was still going at a nice pace.
Just one more Xiuyaojing Bow, and I would probably be comfortable with moving on to another one of the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
I wanted to get more spares of some other weapons too… Maybe my Light Quartz Dagger or my Hammer of the Treasure Guardian.
There really was no limit to what I could go for.
I only just got a realisation of that.

It was a good time to have dinner.
I managed to get a level-up for Peptide too, so it was a good time to take a break.
The stat that went up with Peptide’s level-up was VIT.

I was thinking of swapping Peptide out for another Summon Monster, but I was reminded of something then.
How many Summon Monsters did I have that didn’t get their Class Changes yet?
I checked my Summon Monster list and found four of them: Strand, Peptide, Romulus, and Remus.
There were only four of them…
I was thinking it wouldn’t be so bad to keep training Peptide some more, but I ultimately decided to swap out Peptide for another Summon Monster.
I could keep going without changing my fighting style too much.
But for the time being, I summoned Bunraku.
I got Bunraku to start preparing me dinner.
While I was at it, I gave Bunraku one of the Xiuyaojing Bows.
I had to make sure I didn’t forget to do that.
As soon as I finished the meal in my Instant Portal, I got up to keep challenging the General Haira.
At that point, I was completely sure it was going to be General Haira, and not just Haira, after all.
I was more interested in its level more than anything though.
In my next battle, I ran into a Level 9 General Haira.
The Dragon Puppy was still at Level 6.
I suppose the name Dragon Puppy meant that it was still a baby, right?
What would happen once the level reached Level 8?
Yeah…
I just had to hope I could get another Xiuyaojing Bow before it came to that!
I was on a time limit, so I definitely couldn’t waste time on any of the other Twelve Heavenly Generals anymore!
