Chapter 250 Part 1

I logged in.
The time was 5:50 am.
There were no new messages for me.
In other words, I could keep hunting for more items, as planned.
Just a minute okay, Twelve Heavenly Generals…
I’m going to go see you as soon as I finish this meal.
Well, not really. The statue of the Mihira was still right in front of where I was having my meal.
I summoned Bunraku.
What about my other Summon Monsters?
I went for the same lineup that I had the day before.
I summoned Volff, Goki, Strand, and Romulus.

Well then. My Summon Monster team was all taken care of.
I had to wait for the food to finish, but what could I do in the meantime?
Maybe I could make more arrows using the Needle Dragonfly Needles?
Maybe I could work on excavating an Ancient Stone Pillar?
I had normal Ancient Stones too.

The Ancient Stones would take less time to get through, so I decided to start by working on one of those.

Although I had a good idea of what I was going to get.
I didn’t mind getting an Amber Stone either.
It wasn’t a junk item by any means.
I could sell it off for an okay price.

As soon as Bunraku’s meal was ready, I quickly finished it and got up to challenge the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
I recalled Bunraku and summoned Telomere.
I hadn’t seen Telomere get a level-up in a while.
It was clearly more difficult for her than for a Summon Monster like Volff.
I wanted to get Telomere a level-up by the end of the day, no matter what it took.
Although I had a feeling it might never actually come to that.
Telomere’s fighting style was quite flashy, and she tended to use a lot of her MP bar in each fight.
Well, she had a way to refill that, so it wasn’t really an issue.
I had a feeling I would probably have to worry more about my own MP bar.

General Mihira Lv.6
Heavenly General Enemy Target Active
Combat Position: Ground Wind Attribute Fire Attribute

Battle Cock Lv.3
Monster Enemy Target Active
Combat Position: Ground, Air Fire Attribute Wind Attribute

As usual, the most threatening enemy was the General Mihira.
Although as expected, there were also several accompanying Battle Cocks.
Were there more of them that time?
It looked like there were six chickens that my Summon Monsters had to deal with.
But oh well, that was fine.
They would make for a good number of experience points for them.

So, how did the first battle of the day go?
Just like the day before, the General Mihira went down quite easily.
I even had enough time to sit down and watch the fight that my Summon Monsters were having against the chickens.
The chickens were moving faster and more erratically than before.
But I had two wolves on my Summon Monster team that could easily keep up with them.
Volff was especially fast.
In fact, Volff was so fast that I couldn’t keep up with what he was doing.

Goki used his shield and fought defensively, striking with his hatchet whenever the opportunity presented itself.
It was a nice and steady strategy.
I wasn’t fond of defensive tactics, but I still couldn’t find any complaints to bring against Goki’s fighting style.

I enjoyed myself taking a close look at each one of my Summon Monsters.
It wasn’t bad, getting to reconfirm the characteristics of all of my Summon Monsters.

The first battle of the day honestly felt rather lacking.
But in no time, I managed to get myself another Akasagarbha Spear.
Thank you, General Mihira.
I will come visit again if one of these fine spears break, so I look forward to seeing you again.

Well then. Now that that was over, I kept going.
I wanted to challenge the Anchira, so I could get myself another Hammer of the Treasure Guardian.
No, I suppose it was almost certainly going to be a General Anchira.

General Anchira Lv.5
Heavenly General Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground Spacetime Attribute Light Resistance Dark Resistance

Strong-arm Giant Ape Lv.7
Monster Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground

It was a giant ape, alright.
Standing in front of it was honestly rather intimidating.
I was glad that there were only two of them.

But I had a way to stop them in their tracks.
I had a feeling that my spell Gravity Prison was likely going to be a big help.
I also tried using pitfall, but it was just too much of a hassle to think of complicated tactics for my attack.
I decided to just use Thorn Fence to keep them at bay.
I had too many choices. It was actually starting to make things more difficult for me.

I defeated the Strong-arm Giant Apes quite easily.
But I still felt dissatisfied somehow.
I had a feeling the battle would be more fun if there were more of those apes…

My head was starting to fill with contradictions.
I thought a fight like this was something I was looking forward to, since those chickens were too numerous and annoying to deal with…

《Summon Monster『Romulus』Level Up!》
《Please add 1 point to a desired stat.》

The time was 8:30 am.
How many times had I killed the General Anchira and the accompanying Strong-arm Giant Apes? I was starting to lose count.
Their levels were increasing at an astonishing rate, but I managed to get a level-up too.
I was liberally using Power Water, so that probably played a part in why the fights were over so quickly too.
Power Water was definitely something useful to have around. It sped up the rate at which I could defeat the General Anchira by a lot.

The stat that went up with Romulus’s level-up was VIT.
I put another point into SPI.

Romulus Wolf Lv6→Lv7(↑1)
DEX 12
AGI 28
INT 12
STR 12
VIT 16(↑1)
SPI 12(↑1)

Just a little more, and I would be able to get myself an Orthros.
Ah wait, no, I would have to train Remus as well.
On that note, it was a good time to recall Romulus and summon Remus.

Soon afterwards, I got another Hammer of the Treasure Guardian.
I kept it as a reserve for Telomere.
Anyway…
I guess I could try exploring the other Twelve Heavenly Generals?
I didn’t know what kind of weapons they would drop, but I could figure that out on the way.

「Ah! It’s Keith!」

「Good morning.」

When I went to challenge the Makora, there were already some people there before me.
The two people who first spotted and called out to me were Adele and Irina.
I looked for the Makora, and found that Haruna, Konohana, and Hyodor were in battle against a Makora and the accompanying Curly Rabbits.
I was just glad to see them take initiative and try fighting the Twelve Heavenly Generals on their own.
Right as that thought went past my mind, the Makora was defeated.
The Curly Rabbits were also cleaned up by the group of three and their Summon Monsters not long afterwards.

I see…
It looked like they were in the middle of their run the other way around the circle of the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
If the Anchira was their first enemy, then this would be their sixth?
They managed to make it past the Haira, so the rest of the Twelve Heavenly Generals would be relatively easy.

Once they were finished, we decided to reconvene and use Return Home to go to the Grey Forest together.
Do your best, alright guys? I’ll see you soon.

General Makora Lv.5
Heavenly General Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground Water Attribute Earth Attribute

Curly Rabbit Lv.10
Monster Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground

I said goodbye to the others, and quickly got started on challenging the General Makora.
Why did I decide on the General Makora?
It was using an axe as a weapon.
I knew that Goki would probably use that weapon quite well.
But I had no idea what would happen unless I tried it firsthand.
The Hatchet of Roars that Goki was using was a good weapon, so there was no real need for another…
But I was just curious to see what would happen.

There were a lot of Curly Rabbits, and their movements were fast, speedily darting to and fro.
But they were still no match for Volff.
There was Telomere there too, so taking down the General Makora and the accompanying monsters was not hard at all.
