Chapter 250 Part 2
About the General Makora…
Its movements were rather slow, so I got the opportunity to squeeze in some hand-to-hand combat too.
Throwing it around was easy.
Joint locks worked very well.
Punching it and kicking it worked well too. It was the perfect target for testing close combat tactics.
While I was at it, I tried using my assassination weapons, and they worked well too.
I could’ve used my Vajra Sword to deal the finishing blow, but just breaking their necks did the job just as well several times.
Was it so easy because I was using Power Water?
It definitely felt a lot easier than the fights from the day before.
I had a feeling my Summon Monster team felt a similar way.
Volff was especially impressive.
Watching Telomere bombard the enemy with bullets of fire was also amazing.
It put me at ease, watching how strong my Summon Monsters were.
So, what was the result of all the battles?
Even though I was using Power Water as much as possible, there was still no limit to the amount of Strange Salt (Holy) and Power Water that I had.
But please, just give me your weapon, please!
【Weapon: Hatchet】Vajra Treasure Hatchet Grade B Rarity 5
AP ? Power ? Weight 2+ Durability ?
Enchanted Attribute ?
A weapon used by Heavenly Generals. Changes depending on the user’s power. Made of an unknown material.
A rather large hatchet.
A strong weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
It took a long time, and a lot of fights against the General Makora, but I finally got myself a hatchet.
I immediately tried to equip the hatchet on Goki.
【Weapon: Hatchet】Vajra Treasure Hatchet Grade B Rarity 5
AP+19 Power 4+ Weight 2 Durability ?
Enchanted Dark Attribute
A weapon used by Heavenly Generals. Changes depending on the user’s power. Made of an unknown material.
A rather large hatchet.
A strong weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
Huh… I took a step back and looked at Goki.
The weapon looked good, but I didn’t know if that was just because I still had strengthening spells on Goki.
I tried swapping it out with the Hatchet of Roars to compare.
【Weapon: Hatchet】Hatchet of Roars Grade B- Rarity 4
AP+17 Power 3 Weight 1+ Durability 180
Attack Hit Rate Increase [Slight]
A weapon that uses its weight rather than sharpness to do damage.
The handle is made using Wendigo Bones.
A low sound resounds louder from the weapon the more damage it does.
Yep, it was definitely an upgrade compared to the hatchet Goki was using.
But against the Curly Rabbits, Goki didn’t really need that much force behind his attacks.
The Hatchet of Roars was a smaller hatchet, so maybe the better accuracy would actually work in my favour?
Because of that, I decided to keep the Vajra Treasure Hatchet as a spare for the time being.
I had a feeling that it would come in handy against stronger monsters in the future.
Well then.
It was time to get moving again.
I wanted to try challenging another one of the Twelve Heavenly Generals.
I was fine with just about anyone, but maybe it would be good to challenge the Indara?
General Indara Lv.6
Heavenly General Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground Lightning Attribute Steam Resistance
Cursed Viper Lv.8
Monster Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground Dark Attribute
Well, I could probably make it through somehow.
Of course, I still had to make sure that all my strengthening spells were active.
The General Indara would be a good target for some practice with my various weapons.
But the main reason that I wanted to challenge the General Indara was that it had a lance as a weapon.
The blade was quite sharp, so I had to watch out for that, but besides that, it would be a simple series of fights.
Sure enough, after the first fight, I found it to be quite simple, but comfortably difficult for me.
The time was 10:20 am.
I was hoping to get myself another weapon before lunch.
《Summon Monster『Strand』Level Up!》
《Please add 1 point to a desired stat.》
I finally reached one of my goals.
With that, one more Summon Monster graduated to the Class Change group.
What kind of monster would Strand’s Class Change form be?
The stat that went up with Strand’s level-up was VIT.
I put another point into STR.
Strand Sea Snake Lv7→Lv8(↑1)
DEX 10
AGI 15
INT 10
STR 15(↑1)
VIT 22(↑1)
SPI 10
Skills:
Bite Wrap Aquatic Heat Detection Conceal Poison
《Summon Monster『Strand』has cleared the Class Change conditions!》
《Please go to the Monster’s status screen to access the Class Change candidates.》
I was about to immediately start taking care of the Class Change, but there was another info screen.
These info screens really had a habit of overlapping over each other, huh?
《Summon Monster『Remus』Level Up!》
《Please add 1 point to a desired stat.》
A level-up for Remus too, huh?
That meant that Romulus and Remus were both only a step away from getting their level-ups.
Wait, why were they levelling up so quickly?
Was it because the enemies were getting stronger?
The stat that went up with Remus’s level-up was VIT.
I put another point into STR.
Remus Wolf Lv6→Lv7(↑1)
DEX 12
AGI 29
INT 12
STR 14(↑ 1)
VIT 15(↑1)
SPI 12
Skills:
Bite Evade Threaten Listen Sense Danger
Having said that, the info screens actually came at a good time.
There were other players starting to file into the room, so I gave them the opportunity to fight the Heavenly General while I sat down to take care of the Class Change.
But first, I recalled Remus and summoned Romulus.
To an outsider, it must’ve looked like my Summon Monster team didn’t change at all, but that was okay.
Well then.
About Strand’s Class Change…
《The target is not an eligible Summon Monster for fusion.》
Nice.
It was good to do another check.
Now onto the next step…
Class Change Candidates:
Water Dragon
There was only one candidate.
I decided to just be grateful for the fact that I could finish off the Class Change without having to think about the options.
As long as Strand was getting stronger, I wasn’t about to complain.
Strand Sea Snake Lv8 → Water Dragon Lv1(New!)
DEX 10
AGI 16(↑1)
INT 10
STR 16(↑1)
VIT 26(↑4)
SPI 10
Skills:
Bite Wrap Evade(New!) Aquatic Heat Detection Conceal
Deadly Poison(New!) Water Attribute(New!)
【Water Dragon】Summon Monster Battle Position: Underwater, Ground
Also known as an eastern dragon. Its main methods of attack are its bite and its venom.
The poison is very powerful and dangerous.
《The target is not an eligible Summon Monster for fusion.》
Strand suddenly grew a lot bigger.
That made sense though, considering the sudden jump in his VIT stat.
Well, I suppose that was to be expected for a Class Change.
I remembered a similar growth spurt from the Viper’s Class Change into the Venom Python, but I had a feeling that Strand’s growth was a lot more pronounced.
Well, I could only really test Strand’s improvements in battle.
But I decided to leave that for later. I recalled Strand and summoned Peptide.
It was a change from one poison-wielding Summon Monster to another.
I was up against snakes too, after all.
But so far, I managed to make it through all of the battles without taking the poison abnormal status condition even once.
I hoped that the streak of good luck would continue.
The time was just 11am.
It was then that I finally got myself a new weapon!
【Weapon: Pole Weapon】Vajra Lance Grade B Rarity 5
AP ? Power ? Weight 5+ Durability ?
Enchanted Attribute ?
A weapon used by Heavenly Generals. Changes depending on the user’s power. Made of an unknown material.
Can be used in multiple ways, including thrusting, hooking, and blunt force attacks.
It is difficult to handle without using both hands.
A strong weapon, but its durability cannot be restored.
Did I have the skill to use the weapon?
Nope!
Yes, yes…
Time to get moving…
I could leave getting another one of those Vajra Lances for another time.
It would be nice to try getting myself a sword next.
General Kubira Lv.6
Heavenly General Enemy Target Active
Battle position: Ground Steam Attribute Lightning Resistance
Paia Lv.1
Monster Enemy Target Active
Battle Position: Ground Earth Attribute Fire Resistance
I wanted to challenge the General Kubira because it had a chance of dropping its sword.
But the accompanying monsters were different that time.
Paia?
It looked like a bigger version of the Muscle Boar.
I was just grateful that there were only two of them I had to deal with.
I could leave them to my Summon Monsters.
They would probably do fine. I had strengthening spells active on them, and I made sure to give them Power Water too.
After taking care of the General Kubira, I could join them in their fight.

Thanks for the treat.
