Chapter 295 Part 2

So blunt force it is.
Aren’t they Self-healing?
Yes, they are.
But I don’t care.

Unlike Abyss, their equipment doesn’t seem to be that good.
These Soldiers will still take damage when hit, regardless of their equipment.
Their bones break quite easily as well.
So I don’t mind.

Jericho and Senki are quietly crushing Skeletons around me.
That’s right.
They’re literally crushing them.
There’s nothing for me to worry about.

I keep swinging my mace.
Mindlessly.
All I have to do is hit them.
I too should copy what Jericho and Senki are doing.

Crush them!

I stop thinking after that.

《【Pole Weapon】 Level Up!》
《You have acquired the Title【Weapon Master】!》
《The Titles【Weapon Master】 and 【Wrestling King】make a full set!》
《Congratulations! You have acquired the Title【Battle Paranoia】!》
《You have acquired the generic weapon arte【Boosted Power】!》

Oh…
Something’s coming up on the Info screen.
Give me a moment…
My head is all fuzzy.
Is it because I stopped thinking?
It seems like some kind of strange Info…

I finally come back to my senses.
whatsgoingondidanythinghappen?

Wait.
My thought process is going awry.

Let’s take a look.
What is Weapon Mastery?
It’s a title.
So it has overwritten Weapon Expert?
Is it the same as when the Wrestling Master title was overwritten by Wrestling King?

Then there’s Battle Paranoia.
It seems like this one has overwritten Battleholic.

But… Paranoia?
Who’s paranoid about fighting?

Looks like I’ve obtained a new generic weapon arte.
Boosted Power?
The explanation is pretty simple.

It cuts the user’s INT by half, and the amount lost is added to their STR.
It also boosts the user’s resistances based on their VIT and SPI.
And while this arte is in effect, the user cannot use any other weapon artes or spells.
Of course, this can only be used on oneself.

The effect and duration of this weapon arte basically seems to depend on the user’s Racial Level.
The reference is 10 seconds per Racial Level.
Where does that leave me?
300 seconds, that is, 5 minutes.

That’s dangerous.
It’s like some kind of berserker mode, right?

I’d like to try using it some time, but not right now.
It’s dangerous.
Using a weapon arte that prevents you from using other weapon artes or any spells at all feels very risky.

Still…
It halves INT, doesn’t it?
In my case, my INT is 32, so it’ll become 16.
And those 16 points taken from my INT will be added to my STR.
Since my STR is 20, will it become 36?

And what if this Boosted Power also takes other spells and weapon artes before it’s activated?
Can you stack this with other buffs?

Interesting…
Now that sounds very appealing, right?

I don’t really understand it.
It seems I’ll have to try it out once after all.

No.
The Kim Kui Slave is disappearing into the darkness of the night.
How far are we from that slow moving fortress?
How much time have I wasted already?!

Did the Skeletons leave any items behind?
Still, nothing better than Magic Stones.
What did this guy used to drop before they Class Changed?
I’m pretty sure it was still Magic Stones.

They also dropped some weapons, but they all have low stats and are pretty worn-out, just like the basic Skeletons used to drop.
That’s no good.
Do we have no choice but to make do with some Magic Stones?
Since I only got five of them, can we even make do with this?
I feel like my balance is negative.

No, no, this won’t do.
It’s true that this brings all kinds of problems, but my priority right now is hunting.
I have to keep chasing these monsters.
The Kim Kui Slave seems to be slowly making its way into the W5 map.
Wait, has it already entered that map?
As I check with Call Monster, it appears that their march has stopped at the border of the map.

The time is 7:50 PM.
They’re so slow!
Assuming that you can reach Remut at this pace, how many days do you plan to take?
There is such a thing as patiently invading another map.

The point where the Kim Kui Slave stopped its march was around the border of the map.
Speaking of boundaries…
What happened to the tower along the river?
It looks like it was destroyed though.

The river…
The river!
Wouldn’t it be nice to summon a Dolphin?
I have one slot left for a new Summoned Monster.
In this situation, it is unclear when we will be able to go to the eastern sea.
But in order to train a Dolphin, I’ll have to go east someday.

That’s right.
Shall I get one anyway?
I might forget about doing it later, so it might be a good idea to get it done now.

What time is it?
It’s 8:40 PM
Getting attacked by Majins is fine and all, but to be attacked by a swarm of Skeletons right after that is terrible!
Moreover, the size of this group seems to be large.
We’re in the middle of the forest, so there are probably more Undead markers than what I can see.

「Boosted Power!」

Let’s try using my newly acquired generic weapon arte, Boosted Power.
No matter how you look at it, it’s clear that this battle is going to drag on.
That’s how large this swarm of Skeletons is.

《【Dash】 Level Up!》

The battle is over.
I noticed that the effect of Boosted Power ended about halfway through the battle.
By that time, most of the Skeleton army had been reduced to a pile of broken bones.

So, what was the result of this test?
I want to forget it.
That’s what it feels like.
It certainly felt like something that would make me stronger.
However, that feeling has changed drastically, and now it feels extremely strange.
It looks as if I’m in control, but it feels as if I’m not.
It’s almost as if I was in another world.
No, it’s as if the game world is right here, and I’m playing all the way over there.

What should I do?
Shall I give it another try?
It might be a good idea to take on a group of monsters led by Majins next time.
Naturally, it would be better if there were no airborne enemies.
Some Majins riding their Svadilfari Slaves, and the pack of Garms following them.
It would be great if there were some Tri-horned Lizards as well.
I can only imagine how big my stats can get.
But I have to try it out to see what will actually happen, right?

Still…
I can’t make the leap.
A battle against the usual party of three Lesser Gryphons and three Majins is too short for Boosted Power not to feel like a waste.
It’s just no good against these guys.
That’s definitely a worrier’s disposition.

I was so distracted by the Boosted power thing that I didn’t realize….
The generic weapon arte Fighting Spirit has become True Fighting Spirit.
This is also very scary.
Fighting Spirit was a generic weapon arte that raised all stats by roughly 20%.
This new one seems to raise them by even more than that.

I’m afraid I haven’t tested it though.
Anyway, I would like to try it out paired with Boosted Power.

By the way…
While the Boosted Power generic weapon arte is active, I can’t use any other weapon artes.
The same goes for spells.
No spells can be a problem when it comes to setting up ambushes using Instant Portals.
Because of their cooldowns, there will be plenty of times when I won’t be able to use spells to buff myself up.
This is because I can’t predict when monsters will attack.
So I have to make sure to do things in the correct order.
This has to be done after using both strengthening spells and True Fighting Spirit.
However, even if I wanted to try this combination out, I would need to have a suitable group of opponents.

Again, it would be better if there were no aerial units in this group of opponents.
However, I would also like to avoid swarms of Undeads.
This is because Undeads won’t give me much information about how effective this combination of skills would be.

The time is 9:30 PM.
It seems that such a chance has arisen.
Some Majins are coming.
A group of three Svadilfari Slaves and the three Majins that ride them.
There also seems to be a fair number of Garms following them.
And luckily enough, a Tri-horned Lizard is with them as well.

Alright.
Let’s try this out with them.

But first, we’ll start by setting up an ambush for these Majins.
I can’t afford to do this any differently.
What happens after that?
That’s when the testing will begin.

Of course, before our ambush, I’ll be using as many strengthening spells as time allows.
It’s still very efficient since I can strengthen multiple things.
Still, it’s extremely difficult to spread all of my buffs to all of my Summoned Monsters.
This is often done during battle.
