Their expression is full of hatred.
No matter how you look at it, these are the ones I want to deal with first.

Once killed, they let out a last shriek.
It’s very high pitched.
And then you can’t hear anything anymore.
The surrounding area trembles and dust flies from the ground.

That shriek took a slice off all of our HP bars.
In my case, it was about 10%.
My Summoned Monsters got hit by between 10% and 30%.
The one closest to me was Aotsuki, who took a little over 10%.
But Obsidian, who was in mid-air, was greatly affected by it.
He lost close to 30%!

How many Demonesses are there?
There are still four of them, and all of them seem full of hatred.
This is bad bad.
Let’s take measures against this while recovering.
I guess I’ll have to do that after all.

After checking the new marker, I charge at the Demoness.
How about this time?
No shriek whatsoever.
So this one was the right one to use.

Cursed Song is treated as a Magic skill.
But their shriek is probably treated as a regular skill.

Let’s let the Summoned Monsters take care of the other demons to some extent.
Basically, we should fight by making use of our mobility.
There’s no need for us to fight them head-on.

There are two Demonesses left.
I won’t be able to fight at ease until I defeat them!

I’m glad we were able to get rid of them.

Maybe their Cursed Song also had a silencing effect?

On top of this, we also have to deal with the other demons, which require a lot of effort.

The Three-eyed Demons can parry our attacks.
Sometimes, the Bald Demons turn into mist and disappear.
The Demonesses’ Cursed Song and deathrattle-like shriek are too troublesome.
The Strong Arm Demons seem to be very tough and have high attack power.
And the Strong Leg Demons are fast.

Well, I’ve got countermeasures for them.
But it’s clear that the Demonesses are the most troublesome out of this bunch.
Using Psycho Pod is a must!

And so, the 30 oni-like demons ended up being traps that left no items behind.
Everything I could’ve gained out of this battle turns to dust.

There’s no way I’ll let you get away so easily.

Skulls flying in the sky?
They’re huge.
They’re comparable to that flying severed head, Floathead, in size.
But are they faster than that?

There’s four of these heads.
I mean, four of these skulls.
Ah, whatever!
There’s four of these guys!

These guys seem to be of the Fire Attribute
They scatter flames from the sky, but this can be overcome with Resist Fire.
Although I can’t say that we’re not taking any damage.

「Hexagram Seal!」

Luckily it worked for 3 of them.
Does this turn the last one of them into the only one I should be careful with?

No.
They still ram into us.
And they’re fairly fast.
Wait, they’re not just trying to ram into us, but they’re going for bite attacks!
Hey!

Let’s make Aozuki grow her horn.
We charge straight into the open mouth of one of them as it tries to bite me.
Does our attack pierce through it?
It does.
Our blow was the perfect counter for the monster’s bite attack, killing it on the spot.

There are still some of them scattering flames.
Obsidian shoots water arrows at them continuously, but they aren’t flinching.
Well, they are yokai after all.

「Gravity Prison!」

This worked.
My wolves attack the skull as it falls and rolls on the ground.
They start breaking its bones.
After a short while, the skull has been completely destroyed.
Kyokuya keeps on chewing on the remaining bones persistently.

Hey.

Stop that.

It’s going to upset your stomach, you know?

With Obsidian’s help, the remaining two are brought to the ground using Gravity Prison.
Then we killed them.
I started to feel like it was a good idea to give my pets a bone to chew on.

Well, it is a good moment to do so, isn’t it?

Once again, these guys dropped no items.

Also, I think I have a good grasp on this Map’s theme, don’t I?

Their weapons are sasumatas and khakkaras.
Also, my 【Identify】 doesn’t reveal their Battle Position or their Attributes.
What were those for these guys?
I can’t seem to remember.

If it was inside a cave, it would be a good chance to challenge them to a melee battle.
Unfortunately, I’m currently on the move.

This seems like some kind of evil joke.

A Map full of demons.

That assumption was correct, in a bad way.
There certainly are lots of demons here.

There are also the same onis who I once fought in a place commonly known as Onigashima.
Greed Demons, Wrath Demons, Ego Demons, Fierce Demons, Mockery Demons, and Sloth Demons.
There were even Tentoukis and Ryutoukis.
I feel like the number has been adjusted to match the difficulty level of this Map.
In fact, no matter which of these I try to fight, we’ll have a tough time.

Good grief.
I’m sure I’ll earn a lot of experience points fighting all of you.
But, you know…

It’s either a large swarm of demons…
Or a single, very powerful demon.

There’s also a big mouth in what seems to be its belly.

I have a feeling this is going to take a long time.
