I logged in.
As soon as I did, a good smell immediately attacked my belly.
I knew it was Adele and Irina’s work.
Oh dear…
How were they so good at cooking?
「Good morning!」
「Hi Keith, we’re already done here.」
「Yes, yes, it’s time for breakfast~」
Adele called over Hyodor, Haruna, and Konohana.
Apparently, they were trying to train their Summon Monsters by making them fight one another.
Depending on the person, they might not be that interesting to watch, but it was a good way to net some level-ups, so it was nice to see them do it anyway.
Breakfast was a stew that I had eaten before.
But it looked like there were a lot more interesting spices in the mix that time.
It looked delicious.
「Today’s the fourth day, right?」
「Hmm?」
「Ah… I think so?」
「Hyodor, you’ve levelled up like 5 times already, right?」
「Konohana, Adele, Irina, and me are going to have our Class Changes all at once I think.」
「As expected from training in such a hard place!」
「I don’t think it’s that hard though…」

Irina, stop staring at me like that please.
All’s well that ends well, right? I haven’t even suggested going into more dangerous territory yet!
「So, should we do grind some experience points here today?」

I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be so different from the day before.
But what was on the agenda for the day?
First, to just keep fighting against pairs of Sphinx and Spinks!
It was something neither impossible nor crazy.
Without a doubt, our skills were improving.
「So for the time being, we keep focusing on horseback battles, right?」
「That’s right.」
「Alright, let’s pull out our Summon Monsters!」
Yeah…
Adele was full of energy, as always!
Oops. Almost forgot.
I had to start summoning too.
I summoned Volff, Zangetsu, Helix, Ninetails, and Couturier.
Yep, I was serious with my lineup.
There were many things I wanted to try with my Summon Monster team.
The day before, I got an opportunity to test my new and improved wooden staff.
But I still had to test the Lion Sage’s Lance.
Depending on what would happen, I could get myself the【Horseback Spear】skill too.
I also wanted to try the spell Gravity Prison.
When we all finished summoning our Summon Monsters, we formed a Union.
Well then.

Hmm.
I went for one round.
It was a good round. In fact, I could say it was excellent.
The fights against those Serquitoire monsters were clearly shorter than the day before.
Yep, the Lion Sage’s Lance was a very welcome addition to my gear.
It was a very good weapon.
It took less than 40 minutes to complete one round.
And on top of that, the skill【Horseback Spear】, which I decided to get after fighting the first monster, got a level-up too.
It cost me 7 points to learn though.
But I couldn’t resist learning it any longer.
It levelled up after I defeated a pair of Sphinx and Spinks.
Delicious.
My Weapon Artes were increasing too, so I tried using them against the Spinks.
Lance Charge.
Well, to be honest, it was just a blind charge into the enemy.
But the power of that attack was amazing.
Because of just that one charge, nearly 30% of the Spinks’s HP bar was erased.
It was completely different to any regular attack.
Charging in on a horse definitely came with a lot of risk, but it would be well worth it.
Gravity Prison was also a good spell.
I tried using it to buy time when fighting the pair of monsters, by stopping one and then dropping the other one into a pitfall.
Above all, the spell had quite a decent range, which was nice.
I didn’t have to take the risk of approaching too closely.
But mostly, I was just grateful I didn’t have to go through the trouble of having to burn its wings and drop it to the ground.
From the beginning to the end of the battle, we could hold the advantage.
Nice!
Well, it was probably thanks to that that I was able to complete a round in such a short time.
「So about our next round… Let’s fight the Serquetoire monsters thrice, and then let’s fight a pair of Sphinx and Spinks.」
『Yes?』
『Whaaat!?』
『I knew you were going to make things harder!』
What do you even mean by that…
Wouldn’t it get quite boring otherwise?
And I knew I wasn’t the only one affected by that.
When dealing with those Serquetoire monsters, I found that outrunning them on our horses was often enough to finish the battles quite quickly and with ease.
But we weren’t out here to look for easy things.
Yep, that was why I made the decision.
We added one extra fight for every round.
I suppose that would drive up each round to about 50 minutes?
The time was 8:50 am.
I tried going for two more laps.
Yep, horses were very convenient!
Gravity Prison was also very good!
I realised that by stopping a monster’s movements and then using Seal Attribute several times, I could completely shut down its special attacks.
It was interesting to see how more and more, we could defeat the monsters without even having to rely on Pitfall.
On the other hand, the Serquetoire monsters became a little too easy to deal with.
The only monsters that actually presented an issue were probably the Servants of Thut, more specifically, the birds that would accompany them.
Even then, it was easy to gather them together and then eliminate them all at once with a spell like Storm Wave.
I did have a feeling that the monsters were starting to get stronger though…
But I knew that as they got stronger, the probability of them dropping items would increase too.
I only realised it part of the way through, but I managed to get more item drops than the day before.
I could get a lot of Lion Sage’s Stings from the Spinks and Ancient Stone Pillars from Sphinx as item drops.

Of course, the fruits of our labour were also good from a level-up perspective.
By the end of the lap, Hyodor, Adele and Irina managed to level up too.
They managed to get level-ups in Racial Level, Job Level, and even Summon Magic.
Well, all was going according to plan.
And it was also great to see that Irina managed to reach Level 10 in Earth Magic.
She could also now use the spell Pitfall.
I had no doubt that it was going to make our battles even easier.
Hyodor was about to hit his Class Change too.
Compared to when he was at Level 8, and we first started travelling together, I think Hyodor’s gotten considerably stronger.
But…
There were still more things that could be done.
We weren’t anywhere near done yet.
