Summoner is Going c241 part 3
In any case, I had some nice new spells. What would using both Unity of Rider and Horse and True Practiced Spirit simultaneously look like?
I tried it in excitement, but it didn’t work.
Yeah, I suppose that was to be expected.
It would be amazing if it was possible, but it seemed like stacking the buffs wasn’t possible.
After that, I tried checking my stats with Unity of Rider and Horse active, and found that the skill worked to strengthen my DEX, AGI, STR, and VIT stats.
By how much did the skill raise those stats?
It was probably about 10%.
In a way, it was quite similar to the spell Gravity Mail.
Gravity Mail was better when it came to the amount by which it could raise my stats, but since it wasn’t a spell, Unity of Rider and Horse wouldn’t require a casting time like Gravity Mail.
In terms of just raw efficiency, it was still an amazing skill.
It was almost good enough to swap True Practiced Spirit with.
I tried both of the skills to see how they felt as we kept fighting.
Along the way, Adele’s Fire Magic skill reached level 10, which allowed her to learn the spell Enemy Burn.
That made the fights a bit easier, and took even more of a load off of my shoulders.
The amount of time each battle lasted for definitely got shorter after that.
The time was 1:30 pm.
After lunch, we managed to fight 8 pairs of Sphinx and Spinks, winning all of the fights.
There were no deaths on our side.
None of us were hit by any abnormal status conditions.
It was a very productive hunt.
Even Gengetsu only had one opportunity to use the Dimension Mirror-like skill I was meaning to leave as an insurance.
『Are we still going to keep going?』
「We definitely can keep going. Let’s do our best for a while longer.」
Of course, I made that decision based on Hyodor’s MP bar.
I had to make sure I wasn’t dragging him through anything too far above his limit.
At the moment, Hyodor’s MP bar was at about half.
I passed around mana potions, and everyone besides me took one.
I didn’t mind treating them to some mana potions.
All the Magic Mushrooms I was going to get from the monsters we were fighting was more than going to make up for it.
There were no problems.
After that short break, we kept going all the way until evening, without a single Instant Portal to take another break.
I couldn’t even keep count of how many pairs of Sphinx and Spinks we took out that afternoon.
It seemed like Irina was keeping count, and at the end she told me we took down 33 pairs.
We were only put in a dangerous spot once that afternoon, but Gengetsu was there to act as insurance, and we still managed to beat them without taking any major damage.
That pair was at level 6.
Yep, I was very glad I had Gengetsu in my Summon Monster team.
That afternoon, we also got 13 Lion Sage’s Stings and one Ancient Stone Pillar.
The item drops were also coming in at a nice rate.
And most of all, Haruna and Konohana managed to get a lot of level-ups.
They were quite surprised.
I was surprised too!
In any case, I was definitely expecting great things for the rest of the evening.
Of course, I wanted to spend the evening fighting more pairs of Sphinx and Spinks.
There were no other players around.
We could fight the monsters to our hearts’ content.
At some point in the evening, we set up an Instant Portal and had a dinner break.
It was then that I truly realised that everyone was advancing at a terrifying speed.
The most prominent sign of that was Haruna’s mermaid.
At some point, her mermaid went through a Class Change and was now a Lorelei.
That said, it was a similar pattern to when Nias went through a Class Change to change from a Mermaid into a Merrow.
There were no major changes in appearance.
Her face was still quite pretty.
But what was inside that poncho?
Just imagining it was scary.
In a lot of different ways.
「Shall we keep going at our current pace after dinner?」
「Yep. Let’s properly schedule the time though.」
「Ah, it would be helpful if you could do that.」
「Yes! Having a goal is going to make things much better!」
「Hmm…」
I was a little confused as to what our goal should be…
I was definitely thinking that going until Hyodor’s Class Change was still a good idea.
But how fast could we reach something like that?
I couldn’t predict it.
「Alright, what about 10:30 pm?」
「That’s about three and a half hours from now, huh?」
「About then…」
Personally, I thought it would be plenty of time to reach a lot of other goals that I had for the night.
I had Mana Potions, which would alleviate any burden on their MP bars, but I suppose it wouldn’t be good to force them to hang out together until so late into the night.
10:30 pm seemed like a fair compromise.
Well, I was hoping that Hyodor could get his level-up as soon as possible.
If Hyodor could get his level-up within the night, we could start heading towards the sea first thing in the morning the next day.
「Alright, I’m going to log out for a bit.」
「Let’s meet up again at 7 pm!」
「Sure, see you soon.」
While waiting for everyone else, I decided to take the time to change my Summon Monster line up again.
I recalled all of my Summon Monsters except Volff.
I summoned Obsidian, Shishiku, Telomere, and Romulus.
It was when I summoned Romulus that I realised something.
Yep, I really wanted to have just one weaker Summon Monster on my team, just to train them.
Well, that just meant I had to work twice as hard to make up for that!
What would my weapon be?
My instinctual answer was the Snow Beast Mace.
But I decided to go for my staff instead.
It had a special ability to disrupt Attributes, which I was sure would come in handy.
The last person to log in was Irina.
The time was 6:50 pm.
Thank you everyone for logging in before the scheduled meeting time.
I was probably the loosest when it comes to punctuality.
It was something I could learn from them.
When they all figured out what Summon Monsters they wanted to summon, we formed a Union.
What was the highlight of my attention that evening?
Of course, it was Konohana’s Mermaid, no, Lorelei.
I wanted to figure out how well a Lorelei could support us in a fight.
《Summon Monster『Romulus』Level Up!》
《Please add 1 point to a desired stat.》
It was right before 8 pm.
Romulus had already managed to get a level-up .
But our goal for the evening wasn’t Romulus’s level-up, but Hyodor’s.
The stat that went up with Romulus’s level-up was AGI.
I put another point into DEX.
Romulus Wolf Lv3→Lv4(↑1)
DEX 11(↑1)
AGI 27(↑1)
INT 11
STR 11
VIT 15
SPI 11
Skills:
Bite Evade Threaten Listen
It was a good opportunity to switch out Romulus.
I recalled Romulus and summoned Strand.
I had to be thorough with training my Summon Monsters.
And the poison attacks would be effective when combined with the spell Gravity Prison too.
But really…
I think we managed to take down 10 pairs of Sphinx and Spinks in just an hour?
It was a very good pace.
But Adele’s White Wolf had to take a break from fighting in the front. It apparently got hit by an abnormal status condition.
Well, I suppose a slip-up or two was to be expected.
Without the support of the Lorelei’s songs, it probably wouldn’t have been just Adele’s White Wolf that would get hit by an abnormal status condition.
「Adele, are you okay?」
『Just a moment! I’m switching out!』
Yep, as her level rose, the number of Summon Monsters she could have in reserve would increase too.
That was the reason why training up Summon Monsters evenly was a good idea. It would allow for a safer and more stable fighting style.
That being said, Adele’s Orthros and Irina’s Nue would definitely always be on the team.
In the near future, they might get some more regulars in their team.
The time was just past 9 pm?
A new strong Summon Monster was born then.
Haruna’s Tiger got a Class Change and changed into a Forest Tiger.
After that, she used the spell Fuse Monsters to fuse her Forest Tiger and her Venom Python together, resulting in a Nue!
That was great.
『I did it!』
『Nice! You did it, Haruna-chan!』
Konohana was first to congratulate her.
The Viper in her team was looking very close to a Class Change too.
What would happen after that Class Change?
It probably meant the birth of a Chimera.
Yep, it was definitely something we could all look forward to.

Thanks for the treat.
