Volume 3 Chapter 6 Part 2

「Um… Noella, I’m allowed to fondle your boobs then, right?」

「What?!?! My breasts?」

「Yeah…」

「W-Well, I did say anyone just now. I can’t make myself an exception. If it’s just my breasts…」

Holy crap. Really? Long live outlaws! Long live the Thieves’ Guild!

My smartphone suddenly vibrated.

「Ah!」

The sound reminded me that Tateishi was still in the room. At this moment, she was glaring coldly at me.

「I-I was just kidding!」

Ayame:「Go to that corner!ヾ(▼皿▼メ)┐θ☆ドカツ(╯□)╯°°」

By the way, Noella came up to me after that in secret saying that she felt embarrassed with other girls around and then offered her breasts to me. I could not help thinking that outlaws were the best in the whole world. Perhaps I might even consider joining the Thieves’ Guild.

When Ria, Deet, and Miri returned to the apartment, the printer was still churning out pamphlets noisily.

「Oh, I can feel my strength surging! I just leveled up!」

「Congratulations on leveling up, Master!」Shizuku congratulated me on my level up.

As the printer continued to print out those pamphlets at full capacity, the computer was also running the auto clicker macro for boosting my experience points.

「The automatic level-up sure is a convenient tool. A printer, white slime… What in the world is going on here?」Noella asked.

However, I was more curious as to what Noella and Deet were doing. Deet was puffing up her cheeks at Noella as Noella let out a wry smile.

「Never, never ever tell the Thieves’ Guild about this place.」

「Noella would never say anything. Anyway, the 1000 copies of pamphlets for you are done, Deet.」

「Okay.」

Deet took over the bundle of pamphlets and headed to the Adventurer’s Guild on Herculean Street. By the time she placed those pamphlets at the Adventurer’s Guild’s counter and put up one of these pamphlets on the notice board, another set of 1000 sheets had been printed.

「Ria! Your portion is done too.」

「Okay!」

I handed the bundle of pamphlets to Ria too. After that, she went to distribute the pamphlets together with the orphanage’s children along Herculean Street. The Thieves’ Guild made sure to pay these children for giving out these pamphlets, with the thought of hiring them to help out with other tasks too in the future.

「Meow! Hahahaha!」

The moment Miri saw the pamphlets, she started convulsing with laughter.

「Is this supposed to be Noella?! Hahahaha!」

Faced with Miri’s laughter, Noella shrank away abashedly.

However, I was indebted to Noella. If being fed and offering shelter warranted deep gratitude, then I owed Noella big time for being allowed to fondle her breasts more than once.

「Click! Click!」I started taking photos of Miri with my smartphone.

「Wh-What are you doing?」

「I’m going to make sure we have Moe art of you too, Miri!」

「Huh?!」

I continued taking photos of Miri.

「No way!!! I don’t want that!!!」Miri fled from me and I chased after her with my phone.

「T-Tooru, please stop!」Noella put a stop to my antics.「I volunteered to be the model in the first place because we can’t have Miri on the pamphlet!」

「Yeah! Exactly!」Miri chirped.

I had to admit that Noella was right, though I could not help feeling that Noella was spoiling this princess of the Thieves’ Guild a little too much.

Meanwhile, Shizuku, who had been staring at the computer, reported,「Oh, Master, the orcs and humans are here. Is this Mr. Enami?」

The surveillance camera showed Enami and a bunch of orcs. From the projected image, it was hard to tell the identities of these orcs, though I was sure that I wouldn’t be able to differentiate them even if they were standing before me.

「Ah, they’re here. Stop the traps.」

「Okay!」Shizuku fiddled with the mouse and stopped the traps.

「Thanks. Seems like Mr. Enami brought us some seven-colored fish. I’ll go get them.」Noella informed.

Miri made a move to follow Noella when I chimed in,「I’ll go too.」

「That’ll be great. All right, could you carry this cardboard box?」

The box was packed to the brim with all kinds of food in addition to meat, as well as a bunch of condiments. We had no clue what the orcs liked to eat, hence we could only put together a random range of items.

Right now, I was carrying some cola. Since these had detoxifying properties, they were bound to be useful against the goblins’ blowguns.

Once the metal door opened with the push of a button, Enami appeared before us. As for the orc with the long lashes, I could only hazard a guess at her identity.

「Enami, Jacquelina!」

「Suzuki, and Miri too!」

「Hello.」

I silently huffed in relief. At least I got Jacquelina’s name right. As promised, the two of them had brought us quite a number of seven-colored fish. The sight of these fish made Miri break out into a wide grin.

「With these, we’ll be able to set up the fishing game!」

「Ah…」Enami came over to look at the items we were offering them. 「Oh, is that soy sauce? There’s mayonnaise too! Thanks so much for these!」

「I was still wondering if mayonnaise would be all right since they’re made out of eggs.」

「Eggs are probably fine. Oh, there’s pepper too! Thank goodness for this too!」

As expected, these orcs were quite simple with their vegetarian diet. If only they were less brusque, we would be able to live at ease above ground too. Though, the current situation was probably fine.

「I owe you for this!」

「Truth be told, I wanted to trade with the Thieves’ Guild for some items useful in the isekai world. I just didn’t manage to find the time for that.」

「Well, I’m excited to taste these Japanese flavors after such a long time. Thank you for the cola too!」Enami beamed joyfully.

「Enami, say my thanks to the rest of your wives too.」

「Sure! All the best to you too!」

I carried the seven-colored fish back to the apartment. When I returned, the final few pieces of pamphlets were finally printed.

「Let’s go distribute these pamphlets underground then!」

「Meow!」

「Okay!」

I headed to the storehouse one level underground with Miri and Noella.

「Let’s go according to what we discussed. Miri can distribute the pamphlets with the folks from the Thieves’ Guild.」

「Got it!」

I handed a large portion of the pamphlets to Miri. After that, Noella and I split the remaining stack and walked about distributing them. In fact, there were shops on this floor underground that did not belong to any of the three major guilds.

There were shops that paid protection money to the Bodyguard’s Guild. On the other hand, there were also shops that only paid a shopper fee to set up shop in the respective guild sectors. The latter did not ally themselves with any guild.

Noella and I made our way around to these shops, asking if we could put up our pamphlets.

As we gave out these pamphlets, we also took the time to explain the Thieves’ Guild’s plan to redevelop part of their sector. This redeveloped sector would be aimed at providing a safe place for selling goods. In the process, we were also hoping to gather potential tenants.

The first place Noella stepped into was a shop that resembled a Japanese cabaret club, where women would accompany their customers and entertain them. The bouncer at the front of the shop had tattoos of a sword and a shield.

「The bouncer has a shield and sword tattoo! Doesn’t this place belong to the Bodyguard’s Guild?」

「This shop is fine.」

Noella’s answer failed to reassure me. After all, the Thieves’ Guild and the Bodyguard’s Guild had a fierce rivalry with each other.

Even though this shop did not seem to be owned by the Bodyguard’s Guild, it was likely that they paid the guild protection money.
