After entering Edngaul, Muteki and his squad did not stop. Because of the confusion and the raging at the gate. Soldier after soldier raced over with weapons drawn. Seeing Muteki and the others fighting, the other soldiers joined the fray and the fighting continued.

*Bam*

Another soldier was thrown through the window of a nearby shop, causing the public to panic more. Screams echoed out constantly as people ran to the four corners, fleeing in terror.

It wasn’t long before the sound of dozens of horse hooves pounding the dirt road could be heard fast approaching. Many soldiers riding on mounted horses leaped from them and landed heavily around Muteki and his squad. These men all wore metal armor and brandished long steel swords at the ready. Muteki signaled his squad and they all regrouped around him, awaiting his order.

“Byki, what do you notice.”

Muteki addressed a lanky guy with sunken eyes and a narrow nose. The creepy man called Byki observed the newly arrived soldiers closely.

“Boss, these guys are different from the rest. They know not to attack immediately and their calm. Their experience is higher than the others as well and they carry themselves accordingly. Their strength is higher than the average but compared to us, hehe, wed still kill em.”

Muteki nodded in agreement with his assessment before he turned to A fat meatball looking man and asked.

“Abura, what about you, what does that nose of yours smell?”

The fat man called Abura smelled the air.

*Sniff sniff*

“Hmm, I smell Inscription tattoo’s. These men, they all have them. Byki’s right their strength is higher than average.”

*Sniff sniff*

“That one uses the element of Wind like me and that one Water. Those 6 use Gordonia and 3 use Fire. That last one uses the element of Darkness. All of them are at the Elemental Stage.”

The fat Abura pointed at the newly arrived soldiers one by one. With a line of drool dripping from his mouth he gave a detailed report. So detailed in fact, that the expressionless soldiers gripped their weapons tighter.

Hearing these details, not only was Muteki disappointed but Varia and Byki, as well as the rest of his squad, were left feeling dissatisfied.

Varia sighed, pointing at the soldiers in anger she berated them.

*Haa*

“How in the 7 hell’s can you men all be so weak. You dickless wimps are worse than dogs. You run up on horses like your about to do something and you leap off trying to showboat and then your power is worthless. I bet half of you don’t even have dicks. Go on, strip, let me see who here has a dick and who here simply has a front hole. Hurry it up I’m waiting! What, no one wants to step forward. Fine, then don’t mind if I take the first step.”

Varia gripped her right wrist with her left hand and a fireball the size of a head appeared and hovered over her hand.

“Here I come front holes, which one of you will stop me!?”

Varia was just about to run forward and attack when Muteki appeared behind her and grabbed her wrist.

She stared at him in confusion.

“Honey why…”

Muteki’s eyes were fully focused on something coming from the distance. Fat Abura began to drool and roll around on the ground in excitement as he shouted with glee.

“Someone delicious is coming, they’re almost here, almost here. I want a bite, a big juicy bite.”

As Abura continued to roll on the ground, he began to sing an eerily song in delight.

“1,2, chew chew chew munch munch munch and a crunch crunch crunch. 3,4, more more more give me the flesh that I so adore.”

For the first time since they arrived, the soldiers felt a chill run down their spine. This weird song and Abura’s odd behavior though not only affected them but Varia and all the members of Muteki’s squad felt creeped out. Knowing Abura for this long did not stop them from feeling this way because they all knew what this song of his entailed. He was getting hungry and he was going to eat.

The only person who still wore a calm expression and was left unphased by all of this was Muteki himself. Muteki grabbed Varia’s fireball and gripped it.

*Boom*

A small explosion rang out as Muteki destroyed Varia’s fireball with his strength.

“Someone with strength has come.”

Varia’s knees grew weak as she witnessed Muteki’s strength and she melted in his arms. Muteki though pushed her behind him and waited for this person to make their appearance.

Varia fell to the ground in both embarrassment and disappointment but that soon turned to anger as the creepy Byki chuckled and smiled at her with lust-filled eyes.

“Hehe, Varia a bit clumsy aren’t you.”

Varia jumped to her feet and snorted.

“Hmpf, shut up Byki. Stop looking at me with such disgusting eyes or I’ll cut them out from your skull.”

Byki chuckled to himself once more before turning away, A spark of anger flashing in the corner of his eye for but a moment.

Only seconds passed before a large white carriage arrived behind the gathered soldiers. The door was kicked open and a tall man in his 30’s stepped out and roared at the crowd before him.

“Who is it? Who is disturbing the peace in my town!?”

Muteki’s eyes focused on the man for but a moment before they swept passed him and stared at the carriage. A moment later, he looked back at the tall man who just stepped out.

“You are the lord of this town correct?”

The tall man grew furious.

“If not me then who else!? I Jool have ruled over this town for more than 15 years. This is my domain I order you to…”

Before Jool could finish, Muteki threw out his medallion. Before it arrived in front of Jool one of the soldiers caught it out of the air, seeing that it wasn’t a hidden weapon, the soldier then presented it to the curious Jool. When his eyes landed upon the King’s Medallion, cold sweat broke out across his forehead and he screamed within his mind.

(Incompetent fools how could they have upset one with such authority.)

Jool’s complexion paled and his attitude did a complete 180. Swallowing hard, he quickly bowed to Muteki. Following along, the soldiers bowed as well. People hiding in nearby shops and other businesses were all left with mountains of confusion but this was neither the time or place for them to comment. All they could do was silently observe the situation.

Varia stood proud with hands on her hips.

“That’s right that’s right you all better bow to my honey, otherwise…hmhmhm”

Muteki placed a hand over Varia’s mouth as he still had a mission to complete.

“As you can see, we have official business here. King Garn would have given you a call but he didn’t want anyone tampering with any evidence, especially since someone here has already betrayed the King.”

Jool felt immense pressure from those words but he hadn’t any idea what this man before him was talking about.

(Someone here has betrayed the King, who?)

Muteki reached into his chest pocket once more and grabbed a crystal orb. tossing it over, Jool looked at it curiously before activating it. A holographic image of several people appeared before him and a face instantly stood out.

(This, isn’t this the young man who drank with mother that one night.)

Although it had been several weeks, Jool recognized Kazuki’s face as it was quite rare for his mother Tilly to have any guest at all. The young man in his memory perfectly matched the image shown in the holographic. Jool couldn’t help but turn and look at the carriage by his side.

(Mother, what have you gotten yourself involved in?)

Muteki went on to explain.

“These seven men and women, I’m looking for them. The King has no time for those in your camp who have tampered with Guild information and will leave you to govern your own territory how you see fit. However, all information regarding these individuals and their whereabouts must be handed over to me at once.”

Jool felt relief hearing he could deal with the criminals how he sees fit. If all he had to do was hand over information regarding strangers, that made things even more simple. He thought Muteki and his squad were here for something much worse, why else would the King personally send them. However knowing their true purpose, Jool felt a heavy burden lift from his shoulders.

Looking around at the fallen soldiers strewn about on the road, another sense of relief washed over him.

He could hear soft groans escape from these fallen soldiers.

(Phew, it seems he and his squad have yet to kill anyone. Sure many of the soldiers have gruesome injuries but those can still be healed to an extent. In the end, they have escaped with their lives.)

Jool stood up and graciously handed the King’s Medallion back to Muteki.

“I have received the message loud and clear. All information regarding these people will be turned over to you immediately.”

*Bam*

The carriage door was kicked open again and an old woman stepped out. Taking a large swig of alcohol, Tilly threw the bottle away with a crash and wiped her mouth.

“Sorry son but I’m afraid that information will have to remain under lock and key.”
