*ROOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRR!*

A tyrannical force of wind crashed into the side of a large building, causing it to explode and send debris flying in all directions.

Large chunks and small fragments rained down in a wide radius at a deadly speed.

A few terrified screams echoed out as a few dozen people came out from hiding and scattered about.

Hovering 50 feet in the air, a beast threw its head back and laughed wildly.

“Hahahahaha, so this is where the mice were hiding. Get them!”

With its orders given, a few smaller beast came racing over in excitement. Some of these creatures ran on all four while others ran on two. Some slithered on their bellies like snakes while a few took to the skies and flew. None of that mattered though. Instead, it was their ability to take orders, their common trait in intellect is one of the same reasons that they had now reached the limit of their bodies and learned magic. This common thread is what allowed them to survive all this time.

Water fire air etc. Magic was fired around these humans in succession until one by one the humans were captured.

The Beast flying in the sky looked down at these weaklings in delight before flying toward the south.

This beast enjoyed a similar sight as he flew. Every which way he looked, a few Limit beast would be cornering humans and capturing them. They would dig them out from under collapsed buildings and fallen walls. No matter where these humans decided to hide themselves away, the Limit beasts would always find them and take them.

Loud crashes continually rang out as buildings were brought crumbling down. Fires raged and panic was constant. Those that were lucky had escaped this nightmare long ago but those that couldn’t flee in time were trapped. Most had been slaughtered and eaten, those were the ones that didn’t make it out in time but didn’t hide either. The soldiers that fought back were simply trampled over and devoured. The mages that had power were ganged up on and brought down to their knees early on. With the defenses totally rendered inert, the rest of this city was left like a fresh babe under a tigers claw. There was no escape, no place to run and even when you hid, you would still be found.

This had happened over two months ago and yet even now a few people were still found hiding. The last few thousand that remained in this destroyed city were being gathered by the one in charge.

The Beast that flew above this rubble-filled city, soon landed near a large building and entered.

This building was quite large and resembled a fort. Although most of it had been destroyed it still held thousands of beasts inside. Most were of course Limit beast with a hundred or so Tier 2 Magical beasts as well.

The Beast that had just entered turned a corner before finding its way into a large open room. The roof to this place was completely gone but it could still be considered a room. Inside, a few hundred humans were on the ground crying and praying while holding each other close. Several beasts guarded them and made sure they didn’t move.

At the far back of the room was a large stage with several long dining tables sitting atop it. It seems this place was a dining hall of some sort. Behind those tables, 3 Sky beast’s sat on the stage and took up every inch of it.

Each Sky Beast’s was different in both shape and color. The one on the left was completely black with a line of silver fur running down the center of its back. It resembled a horse but instead of four legs it had six as well as a pair of fangs that protruded out like steel daggers. Its eyes were as black as the night and its body was massive.

To the far right sat a large golden ape. Its head was as big as a boulder and it elongated toward the back like a cone. Its arms were over 12 feet in length and were as round as barrels. Its eyes emitted a red glow as it looked about the crowd, eyeing all the females, with lust.

Last but not least, in the middle, there was a large snake looking, creature. Its head resembled a cobra and its skin was covered in both red and green scales. Its body was coiled up with tight metallic-like muscles. Two powerful arms hung from its side with human-like hands attached to them. In the center of its face, it had one eye with a red and green diamond-shaped pupil.

As the Sky beasts that had flown around the city had just entered, it caused a panic among the already cowering people in the dining hall. The large snake Sky Beast opened its eye wide and spoke with a flick of its snake tongue.

*Sssssssilence*

As this word entered their ears, a strange power entered with it and the frightened people went quiet and became subdued.

The Snake Sky Beast turned to the newly entered Sky Beast and asked.

“Dorio, how is it coming along?”

The Sky Beast called Dorio laughed.

“My Kings, hehe, at this rate, we will have captured all the hidden rats within another day or so.”

The snake Sky Beast turned to the other two at its sides and said.

“Tttthings are on schedule. Once we have taken control over all of these humans, we will force them to start breeding immediately and our concern for a food source will soon be solved. After that, we can force them to rebuild this city and it will be one of many permanent new bases for us. Since Garn helped us out so much and got rid of the previous two kings, the Mirian swamp was thrown into chaos. That is when the three of us made a truce and backstabbed the other Sky Beast and took full control of everything but our fighting and Garn’s have caused too much damage. With so many beast cores destroyed, the air has become saturated with far too much energy. Even I have trouble bearing it.”

The horse Sky beast stomped a foot in joy.

“No matter. With us three Kings on the rise, there will be no one to stop us. We all witnessed the fight between Garn and the Scron wolfs. They were foolish in their fight. They divided themselves and fought seperately, causing one of them to die easily. After that, the other Scron wolf lost his temper and with it, his mind for tactics. His defeat was only natural at that point. A benefit of there losses though was a clear insight into Garn’s fighting style as well as a weakness he has. We all saw how affected he was with some of their poison. Had the previous kings remained focused, with Garn’s weakening due to the poison, they had an opportunity to win.”

The horse shook his head.

“What absolute fools.”

The snake turned to the large golden ape.

“Aaaaganth, you’ve completed your task correct?”

The golden ape didn’t take his eyes off of the human woman for even a moment as he spoke.

“They tried to run but they don’t know these mountains as I do. Every single one of those Scron pups was caught and slaughtered.”

The golden ape slapped its chest and a sound similar to a war drum echoed out in every direction. Hearing this call, two apes one red and one blue both nearly 9 feet tall entered the dining hall. Between them they carried a large boulder even bigger then they were. Setting it down, the two lifted a stone off the top. Apparently, the boulder was hollowed out and became a container of sorts. The snake and horse Sky beast leaned over and took a look inside.

Before they even looked in though a nauseous smell entered their noses. Inside the hollowed boulder a disgusting purplish-black liquid swooshed bubbled and hissed within.

The golden ape reached forward and grabbed a nearby man from within the crowd. The man’s eyes seemed listless and he didn’t struggle in the least bit. Both the horse and snake quickly caught on and watched with great interest as the golden ape simply dunked the man’s foot in.

*SSsssss*

The man’s foot turned purplish-black and began melting away at a rapid rate. Still, the man remained listless. The golden ape threw the man into a corner slightly disappointed.

“Tch, your powers can even block his pain, how annoying.”

The golden snake hissed at the golden ape but said nothing.

The man who was thrown into the corner continued to melt all the while not a sound escaped his lips. After a moment or so, nothing but a dark puddle remained of the man.

Dorio felt a bit bothered by this foul liquid seeing as he was so close. Backing a few steps away from it, Dorio asked.

“My Kings, what would you have me do now.”

The horse Sky Beast flashed a grin.

“Hmm, what would we have you do. Although your a Sky beast just like us, your power is the weakest. Still, you do have your uses, don’t you? If there’s no work to be done, then go fetch me a drink or something.”

Dorio bowed but he didn’t leave just yet.

The three Sky Beast cold see he wanted something.

“Wwwwhat issss it?”

Dorio hesitated for a moment before he just went ahead and asked.

“Once you three Kings have carved up your own territories, I…I was hoping I could have a small piece of my own. Is, is that possible?”

The three Sky Beast looked at one another before bursting out with laughter.

“Bwahahaha, you think you deserve your own territory, how ridiculous.”

“Hahaha, Thhhissss is too good.”

“Hehehe, even if we gave you anything I’m sure a couple of goblins would roll you over and fuck you out of it.”

The three continued to laugh as Dorio felt both terrified and bitter but there was nothing he could do.

Just as the Sky Beast were laughing and humiliating Dorio.

The sky above lit up like a golden sun.

*FLASH*

The light had disappeared as quickly as it had come. What was left in its place was a floating island? The three Sky beast’s stared up in the sky with shocked expressions.

“Sir, the test was completed without failure. Currently, we are above the ruined city of Sekou.”

Garn looked out the window in the war room and nodded with satisfaction.

“Good Eris, now its time for the final test.”
