Muteki no longer spoke and launched himself forward, aiming for Kazuki. Sam though wouldn’t let Muteki do as he wished. Standing in front of Kazuki, Sam stored his Warhammer and braced himself.

Muteki smirked in Sam’s direction

(He couldn’t take my strength the first time, yet he dares stand in my way again.)

Muteki threw out a punch, intending to break Sam in a single blow. Sam in return defended himself and blocked with both of his arms. The two collided like boulders and Sam was pushed back.

Muteki looked at Sam with intrigue.

(Now this is interesting.)

Muteki had only pushed Sam back several feet. Observing closely he understood at that very moment. Sam had covered his arms in rock armor and reduced the impact slightly. That wouldn’t fully stop Muteki but because he also lowered his center of gravity as well as spiked the bottom of his boots with rocks, it was as though Sam was wearing cleats. Muteki had never seen something like that and found it to be curious. With such a small trick, Sam had not been blown away and had even skidded to a short stop.

(Interesting but not enough.)

Muteki grabbed Sam by the waist. He got in real close and lifted. Flexing his hips, Muteki did a front suplex on Sam.

*Boom!*

Kazuki was worried for Sam but at the same time, with this distraction, a blue flame the size of a grape had formed behind Kazuki’s back hovering above his finger.

Looking at Varia he thought.

(That one he said she was his and I also heard her call him honey. Those two are lovers and therefore, he should care what happens to her. He seems to be the strongest out of their group, so I should be able to injure if not kill her straight up.)

Asuna and the others could see the blue flame behind Kazuki’s back and knew he was just about to attack. They two had readied their powers and only waited for his signal.

Kazuki didn’t hesitate and whipped his arm around him like a professional pitcher and threw his small blue flame with deadly accuracy.

Varia saw the blue flame and became intrigued. Reaching out a hand she wished to grab it.

“NOW!”

Kazuki roared at Asuna and the others and they weren’t slow.

Nunully launched several ice spears that were almost as strong as metal all at once. Shin kicked out and several wind blades raced even faster then Nunully’s ice. Now that Danny was in the 3rd stage, he too could create ice. Not as powerful as Nunully but still he pointed forward and 2 ice spears whizzed by. Asuna threw both of her steel daggers at the same time as the rest did there magic but with a flash of her eyes, the daggers appeared in front of two members of Muteki’s group at once. One actually managed to dodge but the other was not so lucky and took a blade directly in the neck, sending him to one of the 7 realms of hell on the spot.

On the other side, Muteki’s squad didn’t expect an all-out attack from people they deemed weaker than them and weren’t prepared. They pulled their weapons or threw up barriers in defiance but just when Kazuki and the other’s attacks were about to land. Kimi pointed her staff at the sky and shouted.

“SHUT YOUR EYES! SOLAR FLARE!”

Kimi shot an orb of light into the sky and it exploded into a blinding light that rained down on top of them all. When Kazuki told everyone to go all out, they all expected Kimi to fire this spell out and were ready. As soon they heard her shout, they all slammed their eyes at once. Most of Muteki’s squad was confused and couldn’t protect themselves in time and took the blinding light. This, in turn, left some of them to lower their barriers as the pain was too much to bear.

Kazuki and the other’s, their spells collapsed on Muteki’s squad like a hail of destruction.

*Boom Crack-KaBoom Shinck Chiii!*

Muteki gripped his eyes in pain from the dangerous light. He could feel that both of his eyes had gone blind from the seering shine.

As the light faded, Sam snapped his eyes open. Jumping to his feet he could tell that a bone or two of his were broken. He felt seething anger from within bubble up to the surface. Looking at Muteki’s defenseless state, Sam pulled his Warhammer from his storage ring.

(Why is that I’m always first to get hurt.)

Kazuki saw Sam out of the corner of his eyed and yelled at him.

“Sam we have to go nowQ! What the hell are you doing!?”

Sam gripped his Warhammer and swung it like a baseball abt at Muteki’s head.

*Bang*

The sound of metal hitting metal rang out. Muteki, even in his blinded state, even in his writhing agony, he still had the instincts and reflexes to catch Sam’s hammer. Sam was taken aback and his ht head instantly cooled.

(He still managed to catch my swing.)

Sam turned and jumped toward Mei. As soon as he did though he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand. Before he was even a few feet into his leap, Muteki snatched him by the ankle and plucked him from the air.

“You think you can leave…just…like…that.”

*Bam!*

Muteki slammed Sam into the ground like he were a rag doll. Sam tried to pull himself up but Muteki swung again and again and again. Each time he did, he slammed Sam into the ground, smashing the rocks beneath him. Even with Sam’s rock armor covering him, Muteki’s strength was too great and Sam’s armor shattered into pieces. Blood sprayed out in every direction and Sam released a panged groan.

*Uhh*

This had all happened so fast that Tsura and Mei had barely gotten off the ground when Something came crashing down from above them.

Mei screeched out toward her mother to warn her.

*Screee*

But it was already too late.

Air accelerated around this flying object and it gained speed before it smashed into Tsura.

*Bam!*

Tsura, as well as Danny and Kimi who were riding atop her, fell violently to the ground.

*Thud*

Asuna had wanted to teleport them away but she reacted too slow and couldn’t help.

Mei was carrying everyone else besides Sam but sensing her mother’s fall she swooped down to the ground and reverted back to a human. She grabbed her mother and cried out.

“Mama!”

Tsura, as well as Danny, lay unconscious, while Kimi was fine. At the last moment, she had deployed her barrier and it had completely protected her.

Kazuki was feeling anxious in this situation and went by Mei’s side.

“Mei you have to transform again, right now!”

Mei was on the verge of crying.

“But what about Mama?”

“If you transform we can get her someplace safe.”

A laugh came from up above.

“Hehehe, you can’t. No matter where you go, whether it be the sky or below, once I’ve smelled you you can’t get away from me.”

Abura fat round body floated in the air. He spoke joyfully while talking about his great nose. More than that though, right after he spoke his nose started to twitch and his eyes focused in on Tsura’s bleeding head.

A line of drool began to spill from his mouth and his eyes began to devour the sight in front of him.

“I want a bite.”

Tsura had blood leaking from the side of her head. Even though she was in her Mangshi form when she hit the ground, Abura’s large mass and accelerated speed made him into something akin to a ramming ball of flesh. With his tough body though it was more like a ball of dense iron. Even with Tsura’s tough metallic-like feathers, they couldn’t protect her fully from the impact.

Seeing his eyes, Mei became frozen in fright. Her earing shined as though it could feel her insecurities and fear and her clothes fell out of it. She pulled them over her and slowly stood up. With her arms out wide she protected her mother.

Abura didn’t know what the little girl in front of him was doing and slowly descended in front of Kazuki and Mei. Kazuki didn’t know what this fat lard of shit was trying to do but looking at him, he was full of openings. Kazuki would take no chances and filled his body with ki. With all of these openings, Kazuki threw a fist out and struck Abura directly in the chest.

Kazuki’s fist sunk about a foot into Abura’s body before it could go no further. Abura tilted his head at Kazuki curiously.

“Ow, that hurt. Don’t hit me, I just want to try a bite of the woman.”

Kazuki and Mei’s eyes widened.

“Abura you fat ass. Did my honey say you could eat yet?”

Abura turned his head around and Kazuki followed his line of sight. Varia stood a bit away from where all the magic had landed. Seeing what she held in her hand, Kazuki felt his breath freeze on the spot. Varia had a gauntlet over her hand but above it, floating as though it were a peaceful hummingbird, was unbelievably Kazuki’s blue flame.

Varia held the blue flame as though it were a toy.

“Eh, Varia, I wasn’t going to eat all of her, I just wanted a bite. It can even be a small one, a small small one.”

Next to Varia’s side was a lanky, sickly-looking man as well as most of the other squad members. In total, Asuna and the other’s magic had only managed to kill 3 of them. The sickly-looking man smiled at Varia.

“Hey it’s only a bite, right? It’s not like he’s breaking Muteki, er, the bosses rules.”

Varia snorted at him.

“Hmpf, keep pushing things Byki. See if honey doesn’t ring your neck.”

Byki swallowed dryly hearing Varia’s threats, though he played it cool. Shrugging his shoulder he gently laid a hand on Varia’s shoulder and spoke.

“Well, you heard her Abura, no food till the boss says so.”

Abura became distraught hearing this and a few tears gathered at the edge of his eyes.

Varia, on the other hand, turned to Byki and snarled at him.

“Take your fucking hand off of me or I’ll turn it into soup.”

She could see the lust in his eyes, the same lust he always had toward her. She was always disgusted by him but Muteki would never allow her to kill him. That didn’t mean she wouldn’t maim him though.

Byki quickly tore his hand away and jumped back in fright. Once again he tried to play it off.

“Hmpf one day you’ll come begging me for it.”

“Begging you for what?”

Muteki slowly walked over. In his hand, he dragged an unconscious Sam by the leg. He focused solely on healing one eye which accelerated his healing time and he now cleared the vision and could see properly out of his left eye.

Hearing the coldness in his voice, the feeling of death loomed over Byki and dread filled every fiber of his being.

“I..I.”

Muteki smiled at him and placed a hand on his shoulder and squeezed. Byki felt his bones and cartilage rubbing against more bone. The pain was unbearable and he almost collapsed to his knees. Just before the pain got to be too much, Muteki released him.

Byki felt sweat run down his body and soak him.

“After this mission is over, you and I are going to have a talk.”

Muteki looked over at Kazuki and the others and spoke calmly once again.

“Now, let’s get to it shall we. Surrender yourselves or.”

Muteki held Sam up in front of him like he was a puppet with its strings cut.

“You can watch as I break him.”
