*AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!*
Kazuki screamed at the top of his lungs and Etora jumped away from him.
“Wait wait wait, little bro, you misunderstand. I like girls.”
Kazuki had no clue what was going on and scrambled to his feet. He ran through all the options in his head but none of them were capable of escaping Etora. Etora tried to explain but everything he said just came out wrong for some reason.
“The reason I was naked was because of all your heat. And I was only on top of you so you wouldn’t run away. Wait that doesn’t sound right. No, you were acting odd and trying to bang against everything. Wait that sounds bad as well.”
Just as Etora became tongue-tied Glacious threw a pile of clothes at him, hitting him in the face.
“Big bro you fixed Kazuki?”
Glacious shook his head.
“You talk too much Etora. As for fixing Kazuki, it was not I who helped him but instead the two who reside within him.”
Etora didn’t know what that meant but Kazuki of course understood and grew worried for his brother and Danny.
“Hmm, that look. There’s no need to worry. I didn’t harm your brother or your friend. You are quite lucky to have those two though. Kazuki, do you remember what just happened?”
Kazuki tried to recall what happened just a moment ago but nothing came to mind. All he knew was that he felt a chill run down his spine when he confronted the lion dog face.
“I…I don’t remember. One minute I’m touching upon that mark within you Mage core, the next all I feel is darkness, cold terrifying darkness that never ends. What was that?”
Glacious could only conclude a few things.
“That mark within my Mage core. When you interacted with it, it must have attacked you with a small portion of its energy. When it sensed your energy, it countered you with a soul attack. What you experienced was something different from its original purpose. It must have hidden traps that I didn’t know about and you were harmed because of this. For that, I apologize.”
Glacious gave a slight bow but Kazuki waved him away.
“No, this wasn’t your fault. I was overconfident in my own abilities. How foolish could I have been to think my power could have any effect on a Titan’s power. I truly am an idiot.”
Kazuki gripped his fist in anger. He felt stupid. He really thought he could resolve such a problem because he completely underestimated it. His ki was capable of a great many things, especially when it came to nullifying or even destroying poison but he had not thought things threw. The poison within Glacious was completely different from any poison he’s ever encountered. This poison was not one of a physical nature and therefore the results Kazuki expected were different, to say the least. For him to try and treat something he knew nothing about, a fool you could indeed call him.
Glacious though was not upset in the least by this and actually held a small smile.
“You’re wrong Kazuki. That power of yours it did do something.”
Etora grew excited and after throwing on the clothes Glacious gave him he jumped up and down in joy.
“Big bro are you saying, are you actually saying little bros weird power actually worked, you’re cured now?”
Glacious shook his head, pouring a cold bucket of water on Etora’s hope.
“What, then why are you smiling, you must be lying to me.”
“Etora, you have known me for how many years? Within all, that time have I ever lied to you even once?”
Etora gave it some thought and rubbed his chin but could name a single time. Glacious actually grew annoyed that Etora was standing there thinking for so long and ignored him and moved on.
“Kazuki my little brother Etora is a bit of a fool but I’m really not lying. Your ki as you called it, caused a reaction. All of this time, in all of my years living with this damn poison, it has only awoken, devoured my strength, and then reentered a deep sleep. I’ve tried my own methods to get rid of it but they’ve all failed and didn’t even rouse the sleeping face. Your power today however caused it to counterattack. This is a first. Do you know what this means?”
Kazuki and Etora both shook their heads no at the same time. Glacious ignored Etora’s copy-cat-like behavior and spoke directly to Kazuki.
“Kazuki, it has ignored my attacks and I have never been able to affect it yet your power causes it to counterattack. I believe you’re power…I believe that mark see’s your power as a threat. Why else would it react so harshly to a small probe? That’s not all. Your brother as well, Kai, he’s shown me something interesting as well. We had a nice little chat.”
“You spoke with Kai?”
Glacious then recounted everything that had occurred moments ago. After all, was said and done, Kazuki felt embarrassed and apologized to Etora.
“Etora, I’m sorry for getting the wrong idea. It was just a frightening sight to come to and see a large naked man on top of me.”
Etora waved him away.
“Forget it, these things happen. Besides, what’s a little skinship between brothers, hehehe.”
Etora threw his head back and laughed teasingly but Kazuki couldn’t help but take a few steps backward.
Glacious pulled Kazuki to the side.
“Ignore him. The only thing that interests him is bragging about his strength and food. Nothing else will ever enter that empty head of his. Back to what I was saying. Your brother Kai uses a strange technique I’ve never seen before. He combined his magic with a branch from your soul tree. He used a strange power without a magic tool. I’ve wondered this entire continent and most of the northern ocean but I’ve never come by his ability. He told me he learned it back home in the Dark continent. That was a surprise to be sure but not too big of one when looking at our world. His technique though, I witnessed him using it to destroy a small mark that began to form within you. Had it been fully established, even though it was a fraction of the power as the brand within my Mage core. Once it established itself within you, you would have surely died within minutes as it drained away at you.”
Glacious explained it all so matter of factly and had no semblance of worry whatsoever. Instead, he seemed excited. The reason being…
“Kazuki, Your power, the mark fears it, I’m sure. Your brother’s odd technique as well, crushed the mark before it formed and destroyed it. Kazuki I’ll be straight with you. I believe that your power and your brothers may be the key to helping me solve this once and for all. I want you to teach me your ki, and I want Kai to teach me his sword forms.”
Kazuki didn’t know what to say to this sudden request.
“Kazuki, I can see you take pause but I’m not asking for this free of charge. If you and your brother teach me, I will show you the true ways of magic. I will in return pass on all of my knowledge of magic and show you how to become a 7th stage Mage.”
Kazuki had to do a double-take. He wasn’t even at the 4th stage yet Glacious was speaking of the 7th stage as though it were easy as baking a cake. Kazuki went dead silent as he was too stunned to speak.
Glacious though, thought Kazuki held some doubt. Glacious grew worried Kazuki didn’t think he could learn ki and tried to humblebrag.
“Kazuki if you’re concerned about teaching me that strange power don’t be. I told you before, I can use every element of magic. As you know, the chance of being born with such talent in all elements is one in several billion and even then that person shouldn’t be able to master every element as I have. Just give me a chance and I’ll surely learn it.”
Etora chimed in.
“Hehehe, big bro really is talented but learning a foreign skill like little bros, I doubt you can do it. After all, it’s been how many years and you still have yet to learn my technique. Forget Kazuki’s power, if you just learn to master the first stage of my power, that mark will be dealt with in an instant.”
Glacious shook his head.
“Your power is just too weird. Who can eat anything in the world and convert all energy into strength? Even now your ability baffles me. You can lift mountains with ease but can’t use magic at all. Your power simply makes no sense. Besides, you’ve said that repeatedly for years and years but in all your days, have you been able to successfully teach even a single person in all this time?”
Etora began to rub his chin in thought again before he snapped his fingers.
“I did, I remember, it was many years ago. I was wandering around in a mountain looking for something tasty to eat when I stumbled upon a pathetic beast. I was going to eat it at first but it was actually pretty smart and cooked me up some grub. I taught that beast the basics and…”
Glacious quickly cut him off.
“You see, right there! You taught a beast, not a person.”
Etora chuckled hearing his big brother’s rebuke but when Glacious finished, Etora smiled and said.
“I didn’t teach a person per se but the funny thing is, after I taught that beast, I disappeared for a while. When I returned later on, that beast had formed a pack and a fat meatball had joined them. I thought the fat thing was food at first but it was actually a human. I became curious and watched them from a distance and the human did something that surprised me. That fatty, he was actually using the first stage of my ability. The smart beast I taught had picked up a human child for some reason and somehow taught the human how to eat like me.”
Glacious pulled back his head in disbelief.
“Really, some random fat human kid was able to learn second hand but I can’t learn directly from the source. Etora, your tales go too far.”
“Eh! I’m not faking brother. That beast really did teach the fat human.”
“Really, then what happened after that?”
Etora’s smile disappeared.
“I don’t know why but that human ended up killing the beast that took it in and then disappeared. I stopped paying attention after that.”
Glacious stared blankly at Etora before turning his attention back to Kazuki, ignoring Etora completely.
“Kazuki forget that story. Yes it’s true I couldn’t learn Etora’s power but I have a feeling it has something to do with the one teaching rather than me. Kazuki if you help me out then In return, I will make you the most powerful human on the continent.”
Kazuki wasn’t paying much attention to Glacious as his mind was feeling a familiarity with EAtora’s story, he didn’t know why but he didn’t think Etora was lying. He was lost in thought until he heard Glacious’s last sentence and he finally focused on Glacious.
Glacious stared at him and held nothing but sincerity in his eyes as he repeated himself once more.
“Kazuki, help me and you will be the strongest human on this continent.”
