*Bang!*

A loud crash rang out in every direction and the ground splintered on impact.

Many small animals in the area panicked and fled as fast as their small legs or wings could carry them and everything went quiet.

Kazuki laid there silently for a moment. His eyes closed, he was still waiting for the impact.

“Are you just gonna lay about all day or are you gonna get up and eat!”

Kazuki opened his eyes and found that he was already on the ground with Glacious squatting next to him staring at him dumbly.

(Wait how come…Nothing hurts. More than that, I don’t feel any different at all.)

Kazuki cautiously stood up and inspected his body. Besides his body being covered in dirt, there were no wounds whatsoever. Kazuki almost doubted that he actually fell from 200 feet up but looking at the splintered ground underneath his feet it was clear as day. He had fallen from so high yet sustained no injuries at all.

Kazuki lifted a foot before curiously stomping it down at the ground as hard as possible. Everyone knew they had a limit and would naturally hold back some strength otherwise they could easily break a bone or two. Kazuki though wanted to test his limit and put his entire force into this stomp.

*BAM!*

His foot, as well as his entire leg sunk into the ground, and an explosion of rocks and debris, flew out in every direction. Glacious quickly turned his body to protect the skewer of fish in his hands.

“Boy! what are you doing!? Your gonna get dust all over our food!”

Kazuki didn’t even hear Glacious at this point. Lifting his leg out from the ground with ease, Kazuki stared dumbfoundedly at his leg and foot. Rubbing it he felt nothing wrong. Inspecting it with ki, again, there were no injuries.

Kazuki took out a small dagger from his storage ring and put the blade to his palm. Applying a bit of strength, the blade struggled for a moment to penetrate his skin but with a bit more force, the blade was pushed in slightly and Kazuki squinted in pain. Pulling the tip of the blade out, a few drops of blood spilled out.

“So I can still bleed, of course, I can, haha.”

Just as he said that he noticed something incredible. After four or five drops of blood dripped out, his blood stopped flowing from his cut. Kazuki’s eyes focused in and he saw his skin up close as though he were looking through a magnifying glass. His eyes widened as he saw his flesh start to fuse together.

(This healing speed. I’m not even using ki and it’s already this fast, incredible.)

As Kazuki was focused on his cut, suddenly a huge eyeball appeared in front of him. Kazuki almost jumped back in fright before he noticed it was just a fish ad calmed down. Glacious had thrust a fish in front of him and Kazuki’s eyes had played a trick on him.

“Of course you can still bleed. Even I still bleed. If you’re a living being, why wouldn’t you bleed? You say some odd things sometimes. Now are you gonna eat this or are you gonna play around all day?”

The smell of the freshly cooked fish lit a fire in Kazuki’s stomach. After going through the cauldron, Kazuki’s body was strengthened many times over but it used a tremendous amount of energy. As soon as the smell hit his nose, his stomach began to rumble noisily like an angry beast.

*Grrra grrrou*

Kazuki forgoed all the pleasantries and snatched the fish in front of him. Drool was already spilling down his chin but he couldn’t help it. Just as he was about to take a bite, Glacious interrupted him.

“I know you’re hungry but shouldn’t you do something about your friend first?”

Kazuki followed Glacious point and found his soldier was swaying in the breeze. It was only now that Kazuki remembered he was still naked. The cauldron had destroyed his clothes but he had no concern for that as he was literally dying at the time. Now though, seeing his member swinging in the wind, Kazuki couldn’t help but laugh at the funny situation.

*BWahahahaha!*

Right now he was in too good of a mood. Although the pain was unbearable and the memory would be traumatic and lasting, having gained such a tremendous amount of strength was worth it and he couldn’t help but feel giddy. Who cares if his dick was out. That’s what he thought but Kazuki still had some semblance of manners. A set of clothes was taken from his storage ring and Kazuki quickly put them on. As soon as the last garment was on, Kazuki opened his mouth wide and bit into the skewered fish.

As soon as the fish touched his tongue, his taste buds came alive and were almost overwhelmed to the point of shock. His senses were all just heightened and his sense of taste was no different. The fish in his mouth, chewing through it, it was the best-tasting fish he’d ever had. Kazuki chewed and chewed some more, his pace quickening after every bite.

*Gulp*

Swallowing down a large mouthful, Kazuki felt it hit his stomach almost instantly. As soon as it did…

*Tsss*

Kazuki could have sworn he heard something but even if he didn’t he sure felt something. He felt a small wisp of energy remnant from the green slime circulating through his body. A small wriggling sensation was felt under his skin. Kazuki’s eyes focused on his muscles and he could see a tiny change happening before him. His muscles that had thinned drastically, before his eyes, just a tiny amount, he saw them grow and expand.

(This, my muscles just grew some. It was only a tiny amount and no one but me would be able to notice such a small change but it clearly happened. My body is becoming bigger again. Is it the food or the after-effects from the cauldron or both?)

Kazuki didn’t know for sure but he could tell the food in his stomach was completely gone and his muscles grew. Kazuki could feel a little more energy within himself and he couldn’t help licking his lips.

“Senior, I need more!”

Glacious nodded and walked behind the cauldron. Kazuki didn’t notice it before because of all the shit that just happened but behind the cauldron Glacious had several fires going. Each one had 10 or so fish cooking. Glacious pulled out a pouch from his side and sprinkled some spices and other herbs onto the chicken. After a moment he wafted the aroma towards himself and inhaled deeply.

“These are done.”

Grabbing 10 skewers of fish, he handed 5 to Kazuki and kept the other 5 for himself.

“Dig in, there’s plenty more so don’t hold back. You need plenty of food to replenish yourself.”

Kazuki didn’t hesitate and began to devour the fish at an absurd rate. It was still nowhere as fast as what Mei or Etora could pull off but, Kazuki was clearly eating faster than what a pro could do.

He didn’t even care about the bones in the fish or rather Kazuki didn’t even notice them. His teeth had become harder, denser. Every bone he bit into, his teeth could glide through them as if they were made of water. The resistance just wasn’t there. Even swallowing the bones gave him no trouble at all. His insides had been enhanced as well and something like a sharp bone wouldn’t be able to cut the inside of his throat.

Kazuki ran through the 5 fish in seconds. Once again he felt some leftover energy from the green slime and his muscles grew and expanded a few more times. Kazuki was about to get up and get more but Glacious had already brought moreover.

“Thank you, senior.”

“No need for thanks, this is our deal remember? I help you and you will help me.”

Kazuki nodded and began eating again.

“By the way, how is your head. The first time I experienced this cauldron’s effects, it felt like I had a slight headache for a moment. Knowing that your human physique is different it probably felt a little worse right?”

Kazuki almost spit his food out hearing that and then he almost choked from trying to swallow too much. Hitting himself repeatedly he managed to get everything down before shouting.

“ONLY A LITTLE WORSE! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!”

Glacious tilted his head slightly in confusion.

“Hmm, was it more than that. I know the battering from the cauldron spinning you can feel like death but my memories and experiences shouldn’t be that much to handle, am I wrong?”

“Wrong, your dead wrong. That was the most painful experience I’ve ever felt. It was as if my mind was being shredded into cheese and ground into a meat sludge. It was a pain of the mind, yet I could feel it in every inch of my body. Even the pain of having my bones break as I was bashed into the walls of the cauldron was child’s play compared to the agony I suffered. Are you being serious right now? Your memories don’t cover the average lifetime but hundreds of lifetimes. All that information, how can a regular human hold so much without going insane and having their mind collapse. I thought I was done for sure.”

Glacious sat there stunned.

“I…I didn’t even think about that. For you to take in my memories, my experiences, I’ve lived for so long the memories I have are in the tens of millions but you still received them in the end. Hmm, you are tougher than you look.”

“Is that all you have to say!?”

Glacious shrugged his shoulders.

“You survived and even gained strength that 99.99% of all humans will never be able to obtain. Those that have suffered and died unfairly, do you think they would hesitate to trade places with you in a split second to receive such a gift. As far as I’m concerned I’ve started to fulfill my end of the deal. Did you think the road to becoming the strongest human in the world would be easy? Going forward, you need to expect at least this much pain, otherwise you will fall at the waste side and be overwhelmed by said pain. At that point you minus well roll over and show the world your belly.”

Glacious said nothing else and began to eat leaving Kazuki stunned.

Kazuki wanted to say something but how do you respond to that. As his mind was lost in thought, he felt his stomach rumble and hunger pains racked him. Kazuki sighed inwardly before picking up another skewer and going in on it.

(There’s no point in blaming him nor feeling angry. This is all to get stronger, this is to destroy Fera, to destroy her bitch of a mother. This pain, I lived through it once. I refuse to give up and die to a pain I’ve already been through. It won’t kill me. From here, I will only grow.)
