There was little joy to be had after Tilly left and the mood was ruined. Everyone either talked low or simply ate in silence. They knew Glacious wasn’t in the wrong. After all, he did save her and he even allowed her to reside in his tiny world dimension. A being who has enemies all over the world and has to be rather cautious, allowed a stranger into his home, all because of how merciful and generous he was.
They all understood this but that couldn’t get rid of the uncomfortableness from what just happened. Asuna and the others were used to arguing and seeing each other bicker back and forth with one another. Seeing others argue from the outside, however, was different and a few of them found a new perspective from watching this, as well as embarrassment.
(Is this what people feel when they see me and Shin argue? I don’t like this feeling at all.)
Asuna curled into her seat a bit more. Her gaze shifting to Shin for a moment, as she felt bad and a small amount of guilt for always snapping at him. When he saw her though, he couldn’t help but try and bug her. Whatever he was chewing was now on full display as he opened his mouth wide so she could see. Asuna then turned away in disgust causing Shin to release a small chuckle from the other end of the table.
(Ugh, I knew it, a roach he’s nothing more than an annoying little roach.)
And so dinner went like this. The only highlight was a fun conversation between Etora and little Mei. When Mei finally had torn her head away from her plate she began discussing or rather bragging to Etora about all of the secret and amazing places she found as well as all the tasty treats she found wondering Glacious’s forest and mountains.
Etora nodded with much enthusiasm and shared his favorite spots as well as the even tastier fruits and other foods Mei had missed. He also told her about the best places to play as well as the best trees for shade, to take a mid-day nap underneath. The more Mei heard, the more excited she got. She wanted to get up and leave right now to go and explore some more but Tsura quickly gave her an ear full about going around at night.
Mei countered with how they traveled back in their own forest at night all the time which put Tsura in a corner. Thankfully though, Kazuki had her back and told Mei in order to keep growing big and strong, a young lady needs proper rest and to grow even bigger a lady needs proper rest around those who care about her.
Mei finally relented because of this and the mood was finally lifted a bit.
Dinner was finished and Nunully and Lamia wrapped themselves around Kazuki as he tried to leave. Glacious though stepped in.
“Sorry ladies, Kazuki will be coming back with me to my room for the night.”
When he said that, Shin who was still sitting at the table had just taken a drink and when he heard that he immediately spit his drink halfway across the table.
*Pshh!*
No one seemed to have noticed though as all eyes were on Glacious.
“Big bro, what is the meaning of this? Young hero doesn’t swing that way. Don’t tell me, are you…are you trying to force yourself upon him and take his backdoor? I’ve seen your key and it definitely won’t fit my poor young hero.”
Lamia was obviously joking but the others didn’t know Glacious that way and stared at him oddly. Glacious felt these stares and became annoyed.
*Thump*
Glacious graced Lamia’s head with a fist causing Lamia to wince in pain. She quickly began to rub the top of her head to relieve it, all the while complaining at Glacious.
“Ow ow ow, Big bro that hurt. How could you lay into me like that? With your strength, you nearly split my head open.”
Glacious folded his arms.
“Bah, what nonsense are you spouting over here! Because of your weird words, you constantly give people the wrong impression of me. Do you think I would rob the cradle? Kazuki is far too young for my taste. As for your head, hmph, that’s compensation for your unflattering words little missy.”
Glacious scolded Lamia as though she really was his little sister and Lamia now no longer looked like a sexy seductress and instead resembled a child being scolded by a big brother.
Lamia nodded along but eventually when Glacious paused she found an opening and retorted.
“Big bro how am I giving people the wrong impression when you yourself said that Kazuki will be going back to your bedroom and he will be staying the night under the covers with you and this and that…”
*Thump*
Glacious gave her another one atop her head and this one actually stung quite a bit.
“Ow ow ow, Big bro you savage, I almost died just now!”
“Bah, what savage. I only gave a brat what she deserves. I never said anything like what you describe or are implying. I simply said he’s coming back to my room for the night. What in the 7 realms of hell do you mean under the covers and this and that? I’m taking him back with me to train you foolish child. I need peace and quiet as to not disturb my mind and soul. Otherwise, who knows what could go wrong.”
Lamia went quiet as though she understood but only a few seconds later she chimed in with.
“When you say to train, you couldn’t mean…Skin to skin?”
*Thump*
Glacious flicked Lamia in the head and she grabbed her head in pain and began rolling around on the floor. Glacious couldn’t take it anymore and just decided it was better to explain instead of dealing with all the weird looks, so he gave a short explanation.
“I’m just going to take Kazuki to my room and touch him so I can go inside him and learn his brother’s strange sword technique.”
When Glacious said this, he immediately felt something was wrong as the room went eerily silent and all jaws were dropped.
Lamia as well stopped rolling around and took this seriously. Kazuki couldn’t help but slap his forehead.
(Does this dragon not know common sense or is he doing this on purpose.)
Nunully and Asuna without exchanging a single word stood in front of Kazuki with arms extended to protect Kazuki.
Nunully was becoming teary-eyed.
“Taking Kazuki back to your room and then touching his body and entering him to learn a strange sword technique from his brother. I know exactly what that means. Back in the Dancing Gazelle I often heard the vile men in their talk about their little brothers or big brothers. At first, I was confused but later on, I learned it meant their penises. Also, there were a few men that worked there as well. Every now and again a particular customer would come in and ask for these men and they would always talk about their sword techniques and sword fights they would have with one another. I learned what that meant as well from the gossip and rumors. You may be my mama’s big bro but I will not allow you to take Kazuki away and defile him.”
Glacious only now realized his mistake and he felt like an idiot.
(This is why humans are so difficult. You tell them one thing and they completely misunderstand and interpret things all on their own, fools. How much simpler can I explain it to them without them falling down a damn rabbit hole?)
Glacious looked at Kazuki for some help and Kazuki couldn’t help but sigh inwardly before he explained things properly.
“You all witnessed my memories up to a certain point when Muteki used a Mind Frey on me. You saw how my brother was murdered before my eyes.”
Everyone began to nod, not understanding what that ad to with this.
Kazuki went on to explain.
“After my brother died, I thought he was gone forever, that’s only natural and how things were sup[posed to be but in actuality a piece of his soul is connected to me, and because of this, I can still communicate with him.”
Shin became frightened and said.
“Like a ghost or some shit?”
Kazuki shook his head.
“Not quite. Within my soul world, he is as physical as you or I. I can see him, touch him, and communicate. A ghost is more of an apparition, an image of a person with no thoughts or goals. If there even real in the first place. Anyway, that’s not the point. As you saw in some of my memories, my brother was quite masterful with the blade and he learned a certain technique. This sword technique is something Glacious is very much interested in and the two of us have already come to an understanding. He has already started to train me and in-kind, my actual brother will teach him his sword technique.”
After getting Glacious’s permission, Kazuki went on to explain why Glacious was so interested in the sword technique and ki. He still held a few things back though, like the fact Danny’s soul was inside his soul world as well. Not because he didn’t want to tell them but because Danny had asked Kazuki not to.
Danny felt it was pointless for them to know. It didn’t help and made his presence a constant reminder that their friend was dead and trapped inside Kazuki. Danny didn’t want to burden them like that and made Kazuki keep his soul a secret from the others.
After all, was said and done, everyone finally understood and changed their attitude towards Glacious. Lamia as well laughed it off.
“Fufufuf, big bro why didn’t you explain it like that sooner. Though, even if it was a misunderstanding you can’t deny Kazuki’s attractiveness.”
The room became silent once more.
*Thump*
Glacious flicked Lamia in the forehead once more before grabbing Kazuki and walking out. Behind them, they left a teary-eyed seductress rolling around grasping her forehead in pain. Nunully and Asuna stood over her, both having the exact same thought.
