Glacious slowly opened his eyes, with it, came the rising of the miniature sun in his tiny dimension world. He slowly removed his hand from Kazuki’s back and pondered.
Kazuki as well opened his eyes. While Glacious entered Kazuki’s soul world and trained with Kai, Kazuki would remain seated and would sleep in a meditative pose.
Kazuki yawned before slowly standing up and stretching his back. Sleeping while one sat wasn’t something difficult for Kazuki but it still made his body a bit stiff.
He turned to Glacious but Glacious was still lost in thought.
(I wonder if he’s gained any insight from Kai. In the actual world, around 8 hours have passed but inside, time fluctuates much slower. Not only that, but the time also isn’t fixed. Some times it seems to flow 20 times faster, other times its 100. When it flows and what duration seems random so who knows how long or how much he attained in there.)
Glacious opened his eyes, a small smile on his lips.
“From your look, you seem to have had a good time.”
Glacious nodded before extending a finger. A thin amount of wind element gathered on the tip of his finger, however, it wasn’t normal.
“First form, howl…”
Just as he said that the wind gathering at the tip of his finger looked as if it would shoot forward. However just before it shot forward it split into two before wavering and disappearing into nothingness.
(He failed…)
Kazuki expected a few curses or some anger but what he got instead was an even brighter smile.
“This is the first step, hahaha.”
“Senior your not upset?”
“Upset, why would I be?”
Kazuki looked at Glacious’s empty hand indicating the failure the two both witnessed just now.
Glacious simply shook his head.
“Failure is also a step forward. It shows me what not to do in the future. The fact that I can already form a bit of your brother’s technique shows how skillfully he is at teaching. Inside your soul world it was almost 80 days but practice inside there is different than out here in the real world. To form what I learned into something physical will require more understanding and much more practice but again, this is still progress for me. This is wonderful.”
Now that he heard it put in that way, Kazuki understood and felt a bit jealous. If only he could enhance his physical body inside his soul world. To train at a hundred times the speed, how powerful could he become he wondered. Even if he couldn’t train his physical body, it would be nice to learn his brother’s blade techniques but currently, there was no way. After using the cauldron and absorbing Glacious’s memories, Kazuki’s mind was beyond exhausted. It didn’t matter how much or how quickly his body recovered if his mind was still reeling from earlier. To then train within his soul world the tax on his psyche would break him. He needed to reset his mind and the only way to do that was proper rest and sleep.
Kazuki and Glacious arrived at the dining hall and were actually first today. A short time later though and doors began to open and yawns echoed throughout the halls. Soon Shin walked in. Scratching his balls and yawning repeatedly, as soon as he saw Kazuki his mood brightened.
“Yo, no puss last night, too bad, hehehe.”
Shin’s sarcastic tone was well noted. He had been jealous of Kazuki’s as of late. Not because of Kazuki’s improvement in strength but rather because girls for some reason were constantly hanging around Kazuki. Last night though was different. Glacious had dragged Kazuki back to his room for training, which put Shin in a much better mood than usual.
Kazuki laughed inwardly before teasing him.
“Hmm, how long have we been in this world, and yet you’ve hooked up with how many girls.”
Before Shin could refute, Kazuki held up a zero with his hand and aimed it at Shin. To Shin, this was like a bullet and he felt it in his chest.
“Bruh you know that’s not right. How can I get chicks if I’m constantly having life and death fights in the middle of nowhere?”
Shin said this but not even a second later, Sam walked in with Kimi hooked around his arm. Kazuki pointed at the couple.
“Sam found someone during all that shit too, so you’ve got no excuse.”
“What! That’s totally different! Those two were basically on top of each other from the get go. They don’t count!”
Kazuki shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t know man. They didn’t start out like that. They were complete strangers at first remember.”
Neither Sam nor Kimi knew what Kazuki and Shin were arguing about but neither cared. The two walked over toward Glacious and both of them bowed respectively.
“Senior!”
“Senior!”
They both gave their respects but Glacious didn’t need such formalities from guest. He acknowledged them and with a wave of his hand, he forced their bodies upward.
“No need for that. You two don’t usually talk with me much, there’s something you want.”
Sam and Kimi shared a look and Kimi began to speak.
“Senior, the two of us had a long talk last night. You say there’s no way for us to return but we two simply can’t give up. We both, don’t want to sit idly by and twiddle our thumbs. We want to travel the continent and look for a way ourselves.”
Shin and Kazuki both stopped messing with each other and grew silent. Glacious didn’t seem to care too much.
“Ok, believe me, or don’t, that’s your own prerogative. Why say all of this to me though. If you wish to leave then just go, I’ll open my tiny world up right now if you want.”
Sam and Kimi both shook their heads. Sam glanced at Kazuki for a split second before asking.
“Senior, how can we. Garn still wished for our heads but not only him there’s more danger out there. I can’t protect Kimi as I am.”
Kimi chimed in.
“And I as well can’t properly support Sam. Losing an arm is already a burden but my light magic as well does little against powerful opponents.”
Glacious couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“Stop prattling on and simply say what you want. I wish to enjoy my breakfast at some point.”
Once more Kimi and Sam shared a look before bowing once more and asking simultaniously.
“Senior dragon, please train us!”
Glacious once more forced the pair to stand up straight with a wave.
“Why in the world would I train you.”
The two glanced at Kazuki and Glacious followed their gazes.
“Because of him. You two are under some kind of misconception about the relationship between us all. I train him because he is giving me something of equal value. What about you pair. What could you possibly offer me in exchange to train you?”
Sam and Kimi were dumbfounded. They knew Kazuki’s brother was helping Glacious and Kazuki would teach Glacious about his ki but what in the world could the two of them offer to a dragon. They knew his wealth was beyond measure and they knew how powerful he was. The two could offer only one thing.
Kimi bowed for a third time.
“Senior, our…our lives. We would be willing to serve you if you could just consider…”
“Hmph, your lives. Do you know how much your lives are worth to me?”
Glacious was about to continue when Kazuki cleared his throat.
*Ahem*
“Senior, please don’t go too far. As for training them, could you do it for me?”
Sam felt a warmth in his heart hearing Kazuki and Kimi as well felt something, though it was mostly confusion.
Glacious tilted his head.
“For you?”
“Yes senior. I know they can’t offer anything of value to you but you can count it as a favor to me. I would owe you a huge debt.”
Glacious shook his head.
“Even if you owe me such a debt, how could you possibly repay it.”
“Senior, maybe not now, but imagine what can be done when I have learned everything I can from you. When My training is complete and my strength has risen higher and higher, the things I’d be capable of. Let’s not think of what I owe you rather what the future me will owe you.”
Glacious stopped and began to think.
(Young Kazuki may be onto something. It’s true that he is still an ant in my eyes but that won’t always be. As I train him up, his power will soar. Who knows in one or two hundred years his strength could be at the 7th stage. At that point, he would be a powerful ally. The number of enemies I have on the Feya continent is too many if I have another powerful friend, that can only be a good thing.)
Glacious starred at Sam and Kimi before coming to a decision. Placing a hand on top of both of their heads, before they could comprehend what he was doing, Glacious released some of his aura directly into their brains.
Sam’s nose started to bleed immediately and Kimi released an incomparable shrill scream.
*KYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!*
Glacious had only done this for a few seconds before both of them collapsed on the ground, their eyes rolled up in their head. They were out cold.
