Asuna, Nunully, and Kazuki stood outside the house. Kazuki threw on some clothes before Asuna and Nunully decided to jump him, not that he would mind though.
“So this whole date thing, what did you two plan?”
Asuna and Nunully both shared a look and went silent.
“Don’t tell me you guys didn’t come up with anything.”
Once they learned they would get a few days of free time from training, the two argued for most of the previous night about who would have a date with Kazuki. In the end, they both came to an agreement that both would go out with him but the arguments that led up to this point lasted for nearly the entire night. At that point, the two became tired and never actually discussed what they would do on the date. They honestly didn’t even think they would make it this far.
Nunully puffed up her chest pretending she had thought things through.
“Of course we thought about what to do. Right, Asuna?”
Asuna joined in. There was no way she’d admit that neither of them had any clue what they were doing.
“Yeah, of course, we have a plan. Nene, you tell him what we’re doing, since you planned most of it.”
Asuna tried to pass it all onto Nunlly in one go. If she makes Nunully look a little stupid here, it could potentially put herself in a better light. Asuna smiled confidently, while Nunully froze.
Kazuki could see this was going nowhere real fast and decided to help them out a little.
“Normally on a date, we’d go somewhere. I’m sure you have some location in mind.”
Like a bolt of lightning, Nunlly got it. She quickly recalled one of the places Mei had continuously mentioned ardently and announced.
“The mountain!”
Kazuki said curiously.
“The mountain?”
Nunully nodded repeatedly.
“That’s right, Mei mentioned there’s a great spot and the view is supposedly beautiful. We can have a look and even explore a bit with a hike. After that, we’ll…well, Asuna’s in charge for the next part and I’ll let her surprise you with what she has in store.”
Asuna’s shoulders stiffened, as she had no clue what to say.
(So this is you getting back and me. Fair enough.)
“Well, I guess that’s a start. With all of the training Glacious has put me through, I haven’t had the chance to explore this tiny world. The only time I really ever got to see anything was when Glacious would throw me from the training grounds to the river. Though the speed in which he threw me caused the scenes all around to become nothing but a hazed blur.”
Asuna agreed.
“Yeah, teacher is a bit rough the way he handles us but our strength has improved dramatically since we’ve got here. I feel like I could take on Reya or even that blonde 4th stage bitch, what was her name again, trina?”
Kazuki and Asuna began to walk ahead.
“You mean Triska?”
Asuna grew excited.
“Yes, that’s the name. She was so scary and intimidating when we first fought her but now I bet I could wipe the floor with her.”
“I doubt it. We have definitely improved greatly but the 4th stage is no joke and her speed…I doubt I even have a chance were she to go all out from the beginning. Not to mention the fact that she’d not like your average fighter, she’s not stupid. We got lucky last time because she didn’t know we could pull so many tricks out of our asses but now that she knows how we’d fight, we’ll that just makes beating her even less likely.”
“What, no way! I’ve seen the way you handle those golems, your strength is at least on par with hers. Not to mention your blue flame.”
Kazuki couldn’t agree.
“My flame doesn’t matter one bit. NOw that she knows of it, she would never close the distance and would attack from long range with that flying spear of hers, therefore my blue flame is basically useless against her. My strength may be near her level but again I would need to close the gap if…”
Kazuki stopped walking and noticed Nunlly was still standing still.
“Nunully, I thought we were going to the mountain. What’s wrong?”
Nunully’s face blushed slightly.
“If we walk, It’d take me at least three days to get there. You two however have inhuman strength and speed and it would only take you 20 minutes or so.”
Kazuki understood the problem right away. Nunully had a regular body, Kazuki and Asuna were enhanced several times over. Their bodies had been changed and strengthened within Glacious’s cauldron. Kazuki thought about it and figured if he used his ki as well as magic to fly he could get there in a few minutes if that.
“Right, come.”
Kazuki held out his arms, ready to carry Nunully. It only made sense that someone would carry her and take her there, otherwise, the date would never start.
Nunully blushed some more but on the inside, she was laughing greedily.
(This is my win Asuna. For once it serves to be weaker on the physical side of things.)
Nunully walked over and was about to rest comfortably in Kazuki’s embrace but before she could, Asuna shouted.
“BLINK!*
Nunully’s body was forcibly teleported and she appeared in Asuna’s arms.
“EH eh eh.”
Nunully was confused by what just happened. One moment she was about to be princess carried by Kazuki the very next moment she was in Asuna’s arms in the princess carry.
Asuna spoke before she could.
“Kazuki, this is supposed to be a date, you shouldn’t have to carry Nene, I’ll do it for you instead.”
“Um, that isn’t necessary Asuna, please put me down.”
Asuna glared at Nunully and whispered.
“You keep quiet or I’ll drag you through these mountains like a rag doll.”
Nunully was stunned but felt the very clear threat.
(No no, I have to be bold.)
“Kazuki, if you wouldn’t mind carrying m…”
*Swhoosh*
Before she could finish her sentence, Asuna’s body blurred and she carried Nunully through the forest at her fastest speed possible. Kazuki was a little taken aback by this but he also found it to be kind of funny. He could see how competitive the two were with one another and he didn’t really mind as long as the two didn’t go too far. He wasn’t used to having women fawning over him, so this was all new to him as well and was refreshing.
Kazuki could see that Asuna was already several miles ahead and threw the useless thoughts out of his head.
(I should probably give chase.)
Kazuki thought about how funny it would be, were he to just turn around and walk back into the house. He could imagine the looks on the two’s faces as they stopped on the mountain and looked back expecting to see him and yet he never showed.
He also knew how cruel that was and he knew the tongue lashing he would get from Asuna and the tears he would cause Nunully to shed were he to pull such an asshole-like move.
*Shwoosh*
Kazuki’s body blurred and he disappeared from his spot and reappeared several hundred feet away with one step. Again he took a step forward and followed after Asuna and Nunully.

Several minutes of guiding later, Asuna landed on the side of a mountain. Setting Nunully down she turned back.
“Kazuki this is the spo…”
Kazuki wasn’t behind her.
“Did that asshole really not follow?”
Nunully looked down the mountain.
“Could he have gotten lost? You did run ahead before Kazuki seemed to be ready.”
“Are you really trying to blame me? If you didn’t try and pull that sneaky move of oh dearest Kazuki, won’t you carry me over the threshold and to our love spot on the mountain. This one’s on you Nene.”
Nunully blushed hearing about getting carried over the threshold but at the same time she wouldn’t let Asuna get away with blaming her.
“Hmph, arent you just upset that I had a good idea. Had you not interfered, I’d have been in Kazuki’s hands. I could have grabbed him tightly around the neck and pretended to be scared. Then our faces would have been close and then and then…”
“And then what?”
Asuna and Nunully whipped their heads back to see Kazuki standing behind them with a teasing smile on his face.
Asuna pointed at him accusingly.
“You…You were eavesdropping on us.”
Kazuki shrugged his shoulders.
“You have me confused, I ain’t been dropping no eaves.”
Nunully’s face turned several shades of pink.
“How…how much did you hear?”
“Me, nothing…No, that’s a lie, I heard it all, hehe.”
Nunully buried her face in her hands, while Asuna felt some anger rising.
“How long have you been standing there, since when have you appeared?”
“I was here even before you two arrived. As I was following you two, I saw the path Nunully was guiding you and knew where you two were headed from Mei’s description. I thought it would be fun to surprise the two of you like this so I took the long route and went around a different mountain. Who knew you’d be so slow Asuna.”
Asuna couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Kazuki claimed to have taken a longer route around one of the mountains yet he arrived before them. Just how fast was he she wondered.
“That doesn’t make sense, you’d have to be a few times faster than me for you to arrive that quickly.”
Asuna felt a tap on her shoulder followed b Kazuki’s voice.
“Your right.”
Asuna and Nunully once again turned to look and Kazuki was standing directly behind Asuna. They then looked at the previous spot Kazuki stood at, yet he was still there as well. Two Kazuki’s.
Looking at the first Kazuki his body began to fade until he disappeared entirely.
Asuna shouted out.
“Afterimage!”
This all happened in a split second but it really appeared as though there were two Kazuki’s.
They had both seen Kazuki make afterimages before with his speed but those were always blurred and looked like a fuzzy haze and nothing more. It hardly even had the figure of a person and was something akin to a mirage. This new afterimage though was different. It actually looked like Kazuki. It seemed so real and lifelike, that Asuna and Nunully couldn’t tell the two apart. Maybe if the afterimage lasted a little longer they’d be able to spot the differences but it disappeared too quickly.
Kazuki ignored the dumbfounded looks the two shared and instead started to walk forward slowly.
“Are you two not coming? I thought we had a date.”
The two snapped out of it and began to bombard Kazuki with question after question. With that, their first date together started out in an odd but fun fashion.
