City States is a general group name for the various cities existing in the area between the base of the North Teries and Teries Rivers.
The population of each city state ranges from a few thousand to tens of thousand with each city functioning self-sufficiently, and the city next to the wetland region near the base of the Teries River also acts as a headquarters which sends out adventurers to explore the unknown environment.
There is some concern regarding the expansion of the South Yuguria Empire, however they have not yet shown any intent for unification.

Libatis is a nation located on the boundary separating the south and north parts of the Central Plains.
The nation operates using a system rarely utilized anywhere else, where management of the nation is conducted by a representative whom the citizens elect through voting.
A noble class does not exist in this nation and the citizens also elect the leaders in each city.

The nation prospered after eluding the effects of disease and eruption, but is now facing an invasion by the South Yuguria Empire.
The unexpectedly hard battle has them on the defense and they have almost been pushed to the capital city.

The people have sworn absolute allegiance to the empire and the empress, greatly reducing the frequency of disorderly conduct.

Each country making up the parent nation has been severely affected by the disease and eruption, however a tremendous amount of money borrowed from the merchants of Stura was used to implement various policies that are helping them recover in a booming economy.

The Olga Federation is the oldest and largest nation of the continent with a 500-year history.
Since the north and central regions will get intensely cold in the winter season, the citizens of the main cities, including those of the capital, will congregate in the southwest region, which has been damaged by war.

Although the nobility system remains, the authority of the emperor is so strong it is virtually a dictatorship.
Since it is warm throughout the land, there is an abundance of farmable regions and people.

The Empire’s invasion of the Federation failed and they suffered extraordinary losses.
With the decline of the emperor’s dignity and also the heavy tax collection, there have been frequent occurrences of insurrections and riots in the remote regions.
The emperor maintains an uncompromising attitude and in response has ordered the military to conduct mass killings to suppress the outbreaks.
Recovery of national power is not proceeding as well as hoped.

Order is deteriorating in the rural areas with warlords and local leaders starting to appear, each of them using their own judgement to perform trade and suppress uprisings.
