ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 263: Because This Tongue Does Not Know Anything Else Part 1

Now then, did you know that, my dear self-proclaimed Goldunine? Games are not something that is fair to begin with. I mean, just the fact that you have made the first move does not mean that you are guaranteed to succeed. You might as well lose because you’ve made the first move.

This situation here is best described as poetic justice. A rather primitive instance, but a poetic justice nonetheless. And as much as I love peace and quiet, sadly the Hero will never be able to be of any use unless the villain will go on a rampage first.

You, the other me that was just born into this world. Ahh, that reminds me, I used to writhe on the ground like that long ago. So unpleasant. So very, very unpleasant.

Kill! Must, kill! Die! Die! DIEEEE!!!

My cute, adorable children. Please, I beg of you: destroy me. I beg of you: kill me. …… Do not let me become myself ever again.

Self-proclaimed Goldunine manages to regenerate her poison swords. However, even those would be of no use to her right now, as the four Nagas that rushed towards her were much quicker and way more nimble to let themselves be hit by them.

The first Naga lounged towards self-proclaimed Goldunine, managing to break her right arm to pieces.

The second Naga plunged itself towards self-proclaimed Goldunine’s left arm, sinking its teeth into it and pinning it to the ground.

The third Naga sunk its teeth deep into self-proclaimed Goldunine’s waist, managing to take quite a huge chunk of meat out of it with that one bite.

The fourth Naga bit off the right leg of self-proclaimed Goldunine and managed to make her fall to the ground. Then it sunk its teeth into the other remaining leg and began to drag self-proclaimed Goldunine back towards the little girl, like a hound that wanted to show the result of its hunt to its master.

This here was no longer a battle. It was more like an execution to me. Or maybe a gang beating? No, it was even worse. It was as if a professional boxer was punching elementary schoolers with his brass knuckles-like firsts. Strong impose violence onto the weak, and they dominate them in such a way that they even do not give them opportunity to defend themselves. …… That’s right, right about now the self-proclaimed Goldunine was nothing more but a punching bag to them.

………

Honestly speaking, I should leave this situation as it is. I mean, it is the most logical thing to do, judging by the fact that I want to clear this Unique Scenario as fast as possible and as safely as possible.

If I defeat the self-proclaimed Goldunine, I will be able to get Rabbitz rid of the curse of the poison that is plaguing the tunnels. This would means that the Vorpal Bunnies stationed here would be able to go back to their families.

Weissash and Edward stated as such, that the mission takes the highest priority here. And since I have already recovered the crystalized fragments of the “curse”, I could have very well get away from here and move on without engaging this thing. That is, as soon as I confirm that the self-proclaimed Goldunine has dropped dead.

But, this is different. This thing, it just feels…… wrong. I cannot help myself but to think that way.

Ahh, I see. I get it. It’s not like I am the main character of this game or anything like that. This is not about indiscriminate justice or anything like that.

However, and it is only an example, but let us assume here that I am playing a one on one duel. If someone else interfered with the duel and stole my kill at the last possible moment, I would have been pretty pissed myself, I am not going to lie.

All the more if they would start bragging about just how awesome they are for killing off someone who was actually half-way dead. For something like that, the only thing they would get from me is a bonk to the head and a bunch of curses and invectives flying their way.

Oh my? And what do you think you are doing?

That’s my line, you bitch. What the fuck do you think you’re doing, appearing out of nowhere and stealing away my prey?

Fufufu, well, well, well…… Look what do we have here. A maggot that dares to address me in such a way? A human filth that does not run away or drop dead at the very sight of me?

The white snake girl monster tramples all over the self-proclaimed Goldunine, but compared to the four Nagas, her frame was too small to actually do some damage to the half dead beast. However, even though there was no damage to her actions, the sight of her doing just that was more than heartbreaking on its own.

It’s not about the way I talk. And it’s not about what others would do upon seeing you. It’s about a more fundamental difference between you and I.

I can feel the scorching gaze of self-proclaimed Goldunine piercing through me, but it is a small wonder she reacted in such a way. I would act the same way. We were serious about this fight, and someone else decided to deny us that just because.

What I want to complain about is that habit of yours of stealing somebody else’s prey right from under their noses when the battle gets to its climax. Just you watch me! I’ll take screenshots of you and post them all over the Internet, exposing you!

Screen shot…..? Ufufufufu, that’s sounds kind of fun. However, what is going to be exposed is going to be your bloodied corpse!

FLICK!

………
