I can here some fiercely rude comments coming from behind my back from time to time, but I also understand that this is just the kind of relationship that the three original members have with one another. Must be nice to so close with other people when you are only known one another for such a short amount of time.

 

It also seems that this group is not like any other group that Arthur Pencilgton used to be a part of. They are not treating each other like expendable pieces or cannon fodder. Maybe you could even call it a genuine friendship?

 

Especially that “Bird Person”. I have heard rumors about him, but he is even more of an enigma than those rumors would claim…… Also, you would totally not believe it if someone were to tell you that someone like that took down Gravekeeper Wezaemon. And even if, you would never want to believe that he was probably the strongest one out of the entire three.

From what she heard from Pencilgton, the other members besides the initial three were also a bunch of good and interesting fellows, but so far she only managed to catch a glimpse of them in the port in Fiftsia. In addition, the sudden transfer of Saiga-0…… Looks like Pencilgton was not words alone, but also actions when they were necessary. Then it is even more impressive that Saiga-100 figured that out.

 

However, I would never have thought that Kyogoku would be someone to actually input her own name as a player name. If anything, she seemed like someone who would try to make some sort of a wordplay on her own name, or at the very least use something different and more unique.

 

「Now that you mention it, one hundred…… No, Momo-san? Haven’t I played against you somewhere before as well?」

 

「That nickname is a little bit…… Haa, no, it doesn’t really matter all that much. But let me make one thing clear, Kyogoku-san. If you think that this will go the same way as it did the last time, then you are gravely mistaken.」

 

The four swords circulating behind her back disappear for now, and Saiga-100 was holding onto only one sword. In response, Kyogoku assumes her own battle stance, brandishing the sword made out of jet-black steel and reversed cutting edge.

 

Just like that, both of them stood in place and in complete silence, weighting their options and trying to figure out who would be the first one to make a move.

The floating swords become fixed in place, their tips pointing towards Kyogoku. Then they all shoot forward, two swords limiting Kyogoku’s path, and the other two forcing her to dash right into Saiga-100, effectively making the two clash their respective weapons with one another.

「Hah!」

 

Both of them started to push on one another as if they were trying to gain the better position. In reality, both of them just wanted to force their opponent to back away.

 

And then, once they could see that none of them was going to yield any field, they both jumped backwards and assumed battle positions, thus completing the circle and getting ready for another one.
