CHAPTER 106: SITCOM SITUATION

I really appreciated the gesture, but I had no intentions to stay here and keep all of them company. I will use this opportunity to dry my clothes and then sneak out before morning arrives. I had to release Triton as well, ideally without anyone noticing.

Without much thought, I got out of my soaked clothes and called upon some fire and air elementals to help me dry the clothes sooner. Unfortunately it was also, that right at this moment, the door to my room opened and the Crown Prince walked inside without saying anything.

Startled upon seeing me inside basically naked, he froze as I let out a scream and sent a punch flying for his face.

“Idiot! How can you enter someone’s room without knocking? Don’t you have any manners? If the public finds out you are a pervert, they would be disgusted!”

The punch landed and sent him flying across the room and he crashed into a wall. Using this opportunity, I wrapped myself in a blanket that was on the bed. It was a good I did, because the next moment, Ishikawa-kun and Nakamura-kun came running inside.

“Your Highness we heard a crash, is everything good?”

“I’m fine, you can go.”

But they didn’t hear it, because they seemed too shocked to see me wrapped in bed sheets obviously naked underneath and the Crown Prince standing next to a wall not too far away, not daring to look at me with blood trickling down his nose.

“Sorry to interrupt!”

“Excuse us.”

The two of them left the room, completely red in their faces. It’s not like that! I wanted to shout at them, but before I could, a hand covered my mouth.

“Don’t yell, my dad might hear and then it will be trouble for both of us. I don’t plan on doing anything to you so you can relax. I have some spare clothes that you can use, while yours finish drying.”

He got up and after rummaging through a drawer, he pulled out clothes that were similar to a bathrobe. Then, he went to a corner of a room and waited for me to get dressed. He was kind enough not to look, but the robe he gave me was way too big for me. It was obviously his, but there is at the very least a head difference in our heights.

“Thank you, also sorry for punching you. I assume this is your room and the King was planning on setting me up.”

“It sure does look like that. Please forgive him, he had lost all sense lately, especially when it comes to you. But don’t worry, I have no intention of marrying you anymore after your latest refusal. Honestly speaking, I have no intentions of angering you and your brother.”

What was that? I know my family very well and I know one thing for certain; I do not have a brother. Even more so I don’t have any family here in Doren.

“I don’t have a brother, so I don’t know who you are talking about. Also the only family that I do have, it is not in this world.”

“Huh? Aren’t you the adoptive little sister of a man known to be the strongest in this world, according to our knowledge? He is so strong that, if he planned to, he would be able to conquer it in a matter of days. I should count myself lucky that he has no such ambition and mostly remains in seclusion.”

“First time I am hearing about it. I don’t know who you are talking about, but if that makes you back away from marriage, I will gladly be that person’s little sister.”

I didn’t know such a person existed in this world that is as strong as the prince explained nor did I know anyone that I might even imagine being my big brother.

“That is odd, since I was certain he knew you. Heck, even after the battle in Kapitalia he was the one to personally carry you to your mansion. The way he treated you was definitely as someone important to him. And he personally called you adoptive little sister.”

Oh, that is interesting, I still had no idea who it was. I just assumed it was the Crown Prince himself that carried me back to my mansion, since he was the only one present there that day next to me.

Curious, but not willing to pursue the topic further, I waited for my clothes to dry in silence.

Luckily since there were elementals present, it didn’t take too long.

“Crown Prince-sama…”

“Please call me Vitou. I think it will beneasier for us to address each other using names.”

“Then Vitou-sama. Thank you for the spare clothes and your hospitality, but I will be going soon. Tell your father thank you and sorry.”

I knew the King was planning for this sitcom situation to happen, but he should have known better. It is not an easy thing to make me change my mind and if he thought that Vitou-sama would not be able to hold back, he should reevaluate his son. Tonight the Crown Prince earned some good points with me.

“Are you sure though? I am also not eager to let you leave without a boat in thisbdarkness on the sea.”

“Don’t worry, Triton, I mean, that serpent will be coming soon. I just need to get a bit further away from your ship. Thank you for your concern.”

Technically speaking, I could bring out Triton right here and right now, but that would mean showing my strength. That is why I made sure to sneak out and get away, before releasing him.

“What happened? Where isss the ssship?”

“I’m sorry, but I was able to deal with that situation without fighting. Can you drop me off at the island and then you can roam free. That ship won’t be attacking you in the future either.”

The serpent hissed and moved north towards my desired destination. To get back to the mainland, I will take the official ferry. I didn’t want to depend on Triton for every little thing.

Once I finished my request, I made sure to hit the market and stores in the island and buy all the local specialties before heading back home.
