CHAPTER 110: STUBBORN

“The rules of the game are simple; you walk up to Naoko-chan and say the following: I can guess your… and give your guess to which Naoko-chan must say if it is true or false. If you guessed wrong, you must drink a penalty drink and if you are correct, Naoko-chan must drink. To ensure fairness a lie stone will be held.”

You’re using me for a drinking game? What gave you the right to do that? That is not okay, definitely not okay in my world. Plus I don’t want to reveal things to all these people.

“Banbo-san, I don’t think this is the best idea right now. Mainly, I am the one that doesn’t want to play this stupid game. Go ahead and play with someone else.”

“You are just shy, everyone is at first. So who wants to start? Nobody, in that case I will go. Naoko-chan I, can guess your age. You are fourteen years old.”

I could feel a vein pop on my forehead. Fourteen? Seriously, do you really think I am a C-rank adventurer and only fourteen years old? I really want to punch you right now.

“FALSE!”

The plate he shoved into my hands turned green indicating that I was telling the truth.

“Eh, Naoko-chan, you really aren’t fourteen? I was wrong?”

“Of course you are wrong I am seventeen for heaven’s sake, soon to turn eighteen. In your world I have been a fully fledged adult for years now!”

Silence… the plate in my hands was green the entire time and upon saying my real age, several people dropped their glasses and basically everyone had the same expression of shock and disbelief. The fact I was dressed up like a doll didn’t help in making me look anyway older. Screw them, how dare they look down on me like a kid.

“Oh my, I think I may have made a mistake. I guess I am drinking this round. Naoko-chan please don’t reveal the answer so soon and wait until someone else guesses. That is how you need to play the game.”

Whatever, if you plan on making this a big deal, let’s see how you enjoy your game later.

“Oh, oh, I’m next. I can guess Naoko’s class… It is a magician. With such a slender body she must be one.”

“False!”

The plate turned green. The shocked girl drank her penalty shot and the next one came forward.

“I can guess Naoko’s class… it is healer.”

Wrong again… since they are trying to guess my class, I don’t mind letting all of them get drunk, since I don’t think they will be able to guess either my class nor my subclass as both of them are not something seen every day. I doubt they even know of their existence.

“I want to change things up a bit, I can guess Naoko’s attribute. It’s water.”

“False, I don’t think this makes any sense, let’s just stop. I still have some things to do so let’s just drop the game.”

This is turning dangerous. If I start drinking, who knows what I might find out tomorrow when I wake up. Sadly, even though I voiced my opinion, it was completely ignored and when I tried staying silent and not playing, they became even worse and started nagging me all the time until I could no longer bear it and gave in. How I wish I could just knock them all out and leave this place, but that will most likely turn me into a criminal and end up in jail. Not to mention this person is important to Orzak because he is the only A-rank adventurer stationed here.

“Oh, so you are a curse magician, I did not know that. You know, there is only one other girl in my party that can use curse magic. With the two of you working together the fighting will become so much easier for me.”

Dude, seriously, you recruited me without even knowing anything about me, except that I am a female. There must be some things missing in your head if you do things like this normally.

“Meh, whatever you say. It’s not like anyone can use the magic I can, so can I leave now. This is boring.”

“Oh, come on Naoko-chan don’t be like this. The night is yet to come and more guests will be arriving soon.”

I looked towards the door and indeed, people were still coming, but from what I recognized most were lower ranked adventurers, not even those I usually hang out with but complete strangers. Some I didn’t even recognize as people from Orzak, so they might have come from neighboring places. Luckily, the guessing game stopped and I didn’t have to take my penalty shot as they forgot about it.

“Banbo-san I think I will go either way. Thank you for inviting me, but I don’t think this will work out.”

“You can’t go. I still need you to officially join us and that requires special initiation. How could you leave before that?”

“Banbo-san I don’t know what you are thinking in that stubborn head of yours, but I have never said one word about joining you or your harem party officially. The only thing I agreed to is to collaborate on a request. You better remember that otherwise I will stop being polite and treating you as my senior.”

I could swear I heard him click his tongue. Did he honestly think that I was going to follow him mindlessly just because he threw this party for me? Buddy, you have a long way to go if you think I would fall for this.

“Playing hard to get, I understand. Come with me, if you don’t want to join my party how about joining my group first; Cupid’s arrow. Everyone here is a member and there is almost 70 total. Can I have everyone’s attention please; I’ve just been told that Naoko-chan feels she should not join my party, so I decided to take her in our little group so she can first get used to everyone. Do you agree?”

What on earth, dude? I am not joining your harem! If this is how you tricked all these people into following you, I pity them. Also stop cheering, I already have my own group and don’t need to go anywhere else. So cut the cr*p and stop trying to persuade me in such a lame manner.
