CHAPTER 140: DUNGEON MASTER

I woke up in the dead of the night. Using the portable booth I took a shower and cast away all sleepiness. I was feeling great and felt like I could take on the world easily. I went outside for some fresh air. There was no wind and the skies were clear giving a sense of true serenity. The only light came from the moon and the stars. In an hour or so it will be time to set the wheels into motion.

I saw neither Byakko nor Yoru at the dungeon which meant that they were in Orzak looking for the mana detecting crystal and waiting to destroy it. I know this wouldn’t do much, but I need to disrupt at least one of them so that the initial response is delayed even by a few minutes. The only problem I could think of were my students sleeping at the inn. Hopefully I would be able to trick them by fighting with the dragon.

I decided to deactivate my hiding skills and let the effect of my title show entirely. He should be able to locate me easily now. I ran back to the dungeon room and took out the Dungeon Seed before injecting my mana directly into it. I wasn’t sure if this was the way to do it, but according to the reaction of the pearl it must have been.

The feeling of being out of control was growing inside of me. Right now the mana ripples were small and disappeared soon after, but with each passing one they became stronger and travelled further. I tried controlling it but to no avail, the only thing I could do was watch as the pearl emitted more and more mana into its surroundings. I finally realized why it was impossible to hide the presence of a new dungeon. I tried using more of my mana to overpower the ripples but it was only making it worse.

 “Come on settle down already!”

I was panicking ever so slightly. This was taking much longer than I thought it would. I was kind of thinking the seed would turn into a core and it would change the area into a true dungeon. These ripples that kept on spreading out made me feel so anxious and impatient. I also needed to head out of the cavern and fight the dragon. I decided to use my map function and see the mana waves as they spread outwards. Luckily they were still only concentrated within the mountain itself.

The spinning of the pearl soon became so fast that I was no longer able to follow it with my eyes. I then made a decision; if this doesn’t stop in the next ten minutes I will leave it and go outside to deal with the dragon. If something else becomes a dungeon master I will just think of it as fate.

I counted the seconds and when I reached 500 all movement stopped. I saw that the pearl seed was no longer moving. I reached my hand to touch it. As soon as I did a crack appeared on it and with that a loud boom was heard inside the room that threw me against the wall.

Thanks to the impact I was out of breath and super dizzy, but the notifications really made me happy. With this, part one of my plan was completed. Without much delay I ran outside and with the help of [Language Comprehension] I called out to the one that had been looking for me all this time in draconic language.

“Come out, come out! I have come to meet you. I will take you on anytime.”

I didn’t really need to call out because even before I spoke I could hear his thundering grew louder. I knew that the dragon wielded lightning magic and I guess it was my luck to have been blessed by a thunder elemental and gained lightning resistance. At least I have some more chances of winning against him then let’s say a fire dragon.

“So you finally show yourself. I could feel you were close but you concealed yourself well dragon-human.”

His voice reached me sooner than his appearance. Also, what’s with the Dragon-human, as far as I know I am 100% human, maybe there is an error in translation skills?

“Come and face me. I will make you regret coming here after you witness my strength.”

I needed him to cause as much noise and ruckus as possible so that the mana wave going from the dungeon would be a mistake for our battle, at least the very first reading of it and to confuse my students that were staying nearby. I wasn’t betting too hard on this plan to work, but hey you never know.

I exploded my bloodlust outwards as far as I could to challenge the dragon. I didn’t hide malice or pretended to be weaker than I am and sure enough it was met with his bloodlust and fighting spirit. The very next moment, the skies above me seemed to have ripped open and a beast hundred meters long showed itself.

It had black scales and light blue sparks kept frolicking off of its scales. The moment I saw him I wanted to hide. This was much more than I thought it would be. I knew that dragons were strong, but this is not what I had in mind. I was expecting something one fifth of its size as the largest possible enemy I would face, not this monstrosity of a mountain. He noticed me standing on top of the mountain and shouted out his roar towards me.

I decided to meet it head on as I condensed a cannonball out of pure mana and sent it his way. There is no running away now. Just like I faced his roar he took on my mana cannon with his body. When it reached me I was nearly blown away by the force of the roar, but luckily with the help of earth elementals that jumped up to secure me to ground I was able to stay standing.

At the next moment the body of the dragon began glowing light blue and it lit up our surroundings before a lightning bolt streaked down towards the ground in my direction. I called lightning elementals to help me despite having some resistance. I wasn’t sure I would be able to survive a direct hit.

I looked up once the lightning hit the ground near me, but I could no longer see the dragon. Looking around I finally saw a human shape in the place of scorched ground. No, it was not a human, because no human can have scales on its arms and legs and slits for pupils.

“You are really hard to locate one I am searching for. I have come for you.”

He was definitely the same dragon I just saw, but now he had a human form. There was one slight problem. He was definitely not wearing anything and trying not to look down was really hard at this moment. Also very, very distracting, those strong arms, those firm pecs and those perfect abs and his… oops I need to stop.

“I won’t hold back, even if you are like this trying to seduce me I will not hold back.”

I took out both Sapphire and Amethyst and held them tightly. I was ready to fight with my life on the line.

“This body of mine is made to tempt everyone. I have arrived at this place ready a long time ago. Let’s go tonight I will take you for my bride.”

Say WHAT?!!!!
