Construction of the I250 Defense Dome, where TAKABA would be relocated, was underway. Due to its clam-like shelter design, it was nicknamed ‘New Shell’. Employees often gave affectionate names to their base facilities, and this was no exception. The newly established bases were similarly given unique designations.
