A large nation located west of the Vaffancrow Empire and Barbar.
Separated from the Empire and Barbar by vast monster-infested forests, it connects via a narrow southern coastal path.
A wealthy country with vast plains and thriving agriculture.
Numerous noble territories exercise self-rule, leading to frequent internal conflicts.
While a king exists, he holds little actual power.

・Viscounty of Norman
A noble territory in the northwestern part of the Kingdom of Ring.
The northern section of the territory forms a peninsula facing the sea.
With the head of the house in poor health, a succession dispute arises.

◆Viscount Norman
Head of House Norman.
Had been bedridden with illness, but his health has since recovered.

◆Leon
Son of Viscount Norman, heir apparent. Eight years old.

◆Lady Margaret
Wife of Viscount Norman. Mother of Leon.
She spends a fortune on the viscount’s medical treatment.

◆Bartlett
Younger brother of Viscount Norman and Leon’s uncle.
Instigates a succession conflict and raises an army.
Defeated by the protagonist Gaia.

Neighboring lord to the Norman Viscounty.
Supports Bartlett and sends troops.

Butler of House Norman.

Of the Blumunt Tribe. Sailor on Barbar’s newly built ships. A captain candidate.
Formerly a slave aboard a galley in the Vaffancrow Empire.
Owes a deep debt to Chieftain Gaia for freeing him from slavery.

・Trade City Livonia (Part Three)
⇒ A city in the northern part of the Kingdom of Algeas.
Located east across the sea from Barbar.
An autonomous city ruled by a council of merchant representatives that pays tax to Algeas.
A bustling hub of commerce and the largest town in the region.
Situated at the mouth of the Dalba River, which leads upriver to the royal capital of Algeas.

※ Previously called the Kingdom of Norle, now changed to Kingdom of Norn.

・Kingdom of Norn (Part Three)
A kingdom in the far north.
Inhabited by people who live in the northernmost reaches. Known for ironworks.
In the Norn language, 「Norn」 means 「North」.
Due to lack of trade routes, they cannot import southern products like sugar.

◆Tron (Part Three)
Merchant, forty years old. Speaks Algeas Kingdom language.
Round face, portly figure, always smiling.
Though humorous, he has a sharp side in business negotiations.
Purchases brandy and wild strawberry jam from Gaia and company.
A total sweets enthusiast.

◆Odd (Part Three)
Tron’s assistant. Twenty-two years old. Speaks Algeas language.
Slender but sturdily built.
Still inexperienced as a merchant and struggles in negotiations.
Another sweets enthusiast.

◆Knut (Part Three)
Tron’s bodyguard. A beastkin of the wolf tribe. Thirty-five years old.
Sharp gaze, large build.
Also a sweets enthusiast.

・Barbar
⇒ Refers to multiple tribes living in the forests north of the Empire.
They are under the Empire’s rule.
When imperial citizens hear the Barbar tongue, it sounds like 「Barbar! Barbar!」, thus the name.
Imperial people look down on them as primitive barbarians.

◆Gaia (Protagonist)◆
Fifteen-year-old human male.
Son of the Blumunt Tribe chieftain within Barbar. Becomes chieftain after his father dies in battle.
Vows to overthrow the Empire, who killed his father.
A reincarnated former Japanese man.
Gifted three skills by the gods.

・Before Reincarnation
Born during Japan’s 「lost generation,「 forty-two years old.
Couldn’t secure a steady job and drifted through part-time work.
Died in a traffic accident while working night shifts as a construction guard.

・Blumunt Tribe
A human tribe within Barbar, located farthest south, bordering the Empire.
Due to frequent contact with the Empire, they serve as Barbar’s main representatives.

Gaia’s uncle. Middle-aged.
Gentle personality with a support-type disposition.
Described as a round-faced man with black hair and mustache, though the author may have forgotten to depict him much.

Chieftain of the Great Lizard Tribe.
Lizardkin with massive, humanoid reptilian bodies.
Stronger than humans and serve as the front line in battle.
Not very smart. Gets along well with Gaia.

◆Drye
Vice-chief of the Great Lizard Tribe.
Rosso’s partner. Handles practical matters.

◆Jessica
Elf girl, fifteen years old. Niece of the chieftain.
Gaia’s girlfriend.
Her parents were killed by the Empire.
Uses magic.
Currently, quite flat-chested, it seems.

◆Elranief
Chieftain of the Elves.
Age unknown. Appearance like a handsome youth drawn by Maya Mineo-sensei.
Uses magic.
Speaks Elvish, and trusts Gaia since he can communicate in that language.

A major power with vast territories spanning central to southern regions of the continent.
Current emperor aggressively expands territory through military force.

A militaristic ruler.
Strives to expand the empire, but struggles with internal uprisings.

Loves fine drink, food, and women, a useless prince.
Though saved by Gaia, he doesn’t show gratitude.

◆Benito Ponkots
Imperial noble. Serves Crown Prince Munoh.
A somewhat incompetent figure.

⇒ A rising regional power with territories in the eastern part of the Empire.
Rapidly expanded territory under the current king.
Stands against imperial invasions.

Algeas military man.
Disguises himself as a merchant and gathers intel throughout the land.

Exceptionally brilliant and overwhelmingly strong.
A chiseled-featured handsome man.
Practically a walking cheat code.
