Beast Tamer Who Got Kicked Out From the Hero’s Party Chapter 100 Part 3
CHAPTER 100 PART 3
「Oh, that’s good. It would seem that you DO remember me. I’m glad…… And yes, that’s right. It is I, the ghost of a maid that you have killed thirty years ago.」
「W-What!? N-No way! This cannot be! That’s impossible! You……! You are supposed to be dead! I should know that the best! I’m the one who killed you! So that’s impossible! Since you are dead, there is no way that you can possibly be here, right in front of me!」
「No, that’s right, that’s why I said…… I’m not the maid herself. I am the GHOST of the maid that you have killed.」
「Hyeaah……!? D-Don’t come any closer! Don’t come, don’t don’t, don’t come, don’t come! Stay away, stay away, stay away, stay away from meeee……!!!」
It would seem that being forced to confront the sins of his own past sent Zipek half-mad, because he seemed to have fallen in tha semi-crazed frenzy.
He backed away from the horror that was floating in mid-air right in front of him, but soon he ran out of space to back away and his back inevitably hit the wall of the room.
Just like that, there was no longer any place for him where he could possibly escape to.
And even if he tried to escape, there is no way that we would ever allow him to do that.
The time has come for Zipek to finally be punished for the sins that he had committed.
「Honestly speaking, there are a whole lot of things that I have to say to you, Master. Would you be so kind as to listen to my words?」
「Hyeah……!? H-How……!? How could this be!? How could something like that ever happen to me……!? I’m not at fault here! I did nothing wrong, you hear me!? I did nothing wrong!」
「Oh wow. Honestly, it takes a whole lot of courage to say things like that, especially at this age. But…… Did you honestly think that something like that would be more than enough to convince us to let you off the hook?」
「I-I understand! I’m sorry! It was my fault! My bad! It was all my fault……! Yes, you are absolutely right! I apologize! T-That’s why, please forgive me! Please, spare me! Don’t kill me!」
「If my memory serves me correctly, didn’t I also plead with you in the exact same way all those years ago? I cried at you and begged you to stop and spare me, but you just laughed right in my face and you would never stop doing what you were doing? e but you just laughed at me and wouldn’t stop. And not only that, but you also tortured my entire family to death like it was no big deal, like they were some sort of thrash or bugs. So…… Please tell me? What do you think? Why should I ever spare you, if you couldn’t do the same for me?
「Ahh!!! Aaaaaahhhhhh……!!!」
「Now, I hope that you are ready for what’s coming for you. All those years, you have been doing whatever the hell it was that you wanted and what pleased you, isn’t that right? So at the very least, I hope that you are satisfied at the end of the day?」
「N-Nooo! Please! I don’t want to! I’m scared! I don’t want to diiiiiieeeeee!!!!!!」
「Why, you stupid, little piece of shit……!」
At that moment, Tina waved her hand up in the air, and then……
As if in response to that delicate movement, the vases on the nearby shelves floated softly up in the air.
My guess here was that Tina was actually manipulating the vases manually with her own magic power, creating something that we might call the Poltergeist phenomenon.
The vases and jars started flying through the air as if they were living creatures, and after making a few rounds around him, they picked up speed and crushed right to the sides of Zipek’s head, shattering into hundreds of little pieces..
「Gaah!?」
One of the pots even managed to shatter dangerously close to his head, and as a result, Zipek fell to the floor because of the sheer force of the impact.
It would seem that one of the vases’ shards managed to cut his head upon impact, for his head started to bleed profusely all of a sudden.
However, he seemed to be still alive, even if just barely. As a proof of that, his limbs were twitching and moving spontaneously from time to time.
「Phew ———」
Having finished what she set out to do, Tina wiped her forehead and let out a long and deep sigh filled with satisfaction.
It was almost as if she was congratulating herself on a job well done.
So in other words……
I guess you could say that this was pretty much it when it comes to Tina’s quest for vengeance.
「Are you sure that you are satisfied with that alone?」
「…… Hmm? Whatever do you mean by that?」
「You could…… If only you wanted to do so, you could put him through the same kind of torment that he put you through all those years ago, you know? We are not…… We are certainly not going to stop you from doing that, if that is your wish.」
「Hmm…… Yes, you know, at first that was exactly what I wanted to do to him, I am not going to lie.」
For a moment out there, Tina looked as though she was deeply lost in her own thoughts. But then……
She chuckled slightly and smiled brightly at me.
It was a pleasant kind of smile, one that was devoid of any kind of dark and evil intentions.
「But you know…… since I have started to hang out with you all, I actually stopped caring about that all that much. It’s not like I have forgiven him or anything, but it’s just that…… seeing you all work so hard, and getting angry for my sake…… it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I…… I started to think that maybe things are finally fine the way they are. And besides, I am already feeling a whole lot better after giving him a good thrashing like that, so you could say that I am more than satisfied now.」
「I see.」
「Come to think of it, I’m a pretty kind-hearted and benevolent ghost, wouldn’t you agree?」
「Nobody who is actually like that would ever say such a thing about themselves with such confidence.」
「Haha, well, you got that right.」
After a brief moment of pause, Tina and I both laughed out loud. For some reason, Tina looked really refreshed and at ease.
