Kanade, with a bright twinkle in her eyes, mouthed her thanks with the vigor of a worshiper being shown the presence of their God or deity.

The shopkeeper and I both chuckled at the sight of that, unable to hide our amusement.

But still, I’m really happy to see Kanade looking so lively and elated.

Kanade has always helped me so much with everything that we were doing……

And I guess that I was finally able to grant her that fish that she desired so much.

「Say, missy? Would you like to eat the fish right here and right now?」

「Sure thing! We have all the tools necessary for tasting right here! We can even grill it for you if you would like that.」

「Yes! I want to eat it!」

It was an immediate answer, without even a moment of hesitation.

And she even said that while knowing perfectly well that we were in the middle of our shopping…… Oh well, I guess it’s not that big of a deal.

Receiving Kanade’s enthusiastic answer, the shopkeeper prepared the necessary tools and proceeded to prepare the fish.

Each and every single one of his moves were brilliant and showed years of experience.

Fat would drip from the flesh of the fish and its skin was getting nicely charred.

「Nyaaaaaahhhhhh……」

Seeing that, Kanade had an ecstatic expression on her face.

Is it really possible to be this happy from a single fish like that……?

Seeing her like that was almost scary to witness, as if she was under the influence of some spell or strange drug.

「Okay, thanks for waiting!」

「Nyaah♪」

Kanade receives the grilled fish and purred happily.

Then, with a big smile on her face, she took a bite out of it and……

「…… Would you like some, too, Rein?」

She glanced at me and asked me that, looking as though she was barely able to contain herself now.

「No, I’m all good. Don’t worry about me, Kanade. You can eat it all.」

「Yes, I’m really sure.」

Kanade looked happy from the bottom of her heart, and this time she took a bite of the fish at long last.

「Hagu! Hagu, hagu, hagu! Mushi, mushi, mushi……!! Paku, paku, paku, paku!」

She started to devour the fish with a tremendous appetite.

In the blink of an eye, she managed to make her way through the fish, until only bones were left out of it.

Kanade seemed to be very happy.

It made me happy to see her look so satisfied.

「Also, while we are at it, we would like to get some other things besides the fish.」

「Okay, what can I get you?」

While looking at the note Tina left me with, I ordered the things that we needed.

This store seemed to have a certain amount of ingredients that were on our shopping list.

That was the only thing that I needed to feel happy about this entire situation..

「Really now, what a lucky day today was! I get to meet the Hero of the Town, I even got to see a pretty Missy from the Cat SPirit Tribe…… Have I used up all my life’s worth of luck today?」

「Haha, surely you are over-exaggerating…… Hmm?」

「And just to make sure, you didn’t mean Kanade by that?」

「Oh, no, most certainly not, dear sir. I told you about the other customer who bought the fish earlier today, right? That person was of the Cat Spirit Tribe. To meet not only a Hero of the Town, but also a Cat Spirit Tribe…… Really, today just couldn’t have been even more lucky than it already was!」

So, that would mean……
