93 – The Hero and the War God’s Telepathy and Teleportation
The first place I teleported to was the war room where the War God Gladius was in.
「So, you’ve come, Rain.」
He possesses no combat abilities.
For this battle, he will not be standing on the front lines. Instead, he will be commanding Humanity’s defenses from a safe position.

「I want you to cast Telepathy. That way, the commanders of each battlefield, the forces from the nation of Jarsti, and all Six Saviors will be able to hear my commands.」

That really is just like Gladius.

I’ve met the commanders of each battlefield in the past.
Telepathy is a spell that allows communication with those who are far away.
Taking into consideration the number of people and distance, anyone who wasn’t the Hero, a disciple of the Sage, would not be able to cast and maintain it.
In other words, I can do it.
That’s why he summoned me.
While I was building up the spell, I asked him something I was curious about.
「Is it true that you don’t know what the enemy’s goal is?」
「I have my theories.」
「Huh. But the fact that you didn’t mention those theories must mean that the possibility of them being true is really low…or they’re not worth mentioning.」

「Gladius?」

I cast Telepathy on him.
「『Rain, I want you to dispose of the massive amount of rank-and-file Demons. Leave the powerful individuals to others. Keep teleporting to battlefields in the order that I tell you.』」
Gladius didn’t speak, but I could hear what he wanted to tell me.
The spell is working as intended.
「Roger. …This…might be the last time I ever fight alongside you.」
「Hmph, do as you please. Regardless of where you reside, you will hunt the evil Demons.」
「…Because I’m a Hero?」
Gladius had already turned his attention elsewhere.
I start casting the Teleportation spell.
「…Fool. It is because you are Rain.」
I wanted to turn and look at his face, but I couldn’t because I was already teleporting.

It soon became clear why the enemy’s hiding place was not found.
There wasn’t one.
Demons who appear to be enemy generals broke rocks filled with mana.

The enemy army wasn’t even in the Human Realm, so we couldn’t find them.
And now, elites who concealed their mana to remain undetected appeared, manifested Rifts utilizing a large pool of mana’s “nature of granting wishes”, and summoned a swarm of enemies.
It’s scary to think that this is being done at every boundary between Human and Demon Territory.
The rank of Demon that can pass through the Rift depends on the size of the Rift.
While an enormous amount of mana would be necessary to call forth a King class Demon, a small Rift is more than enough for nameless Demons.
Out of countless opened Rifts, an inexhaustible supply of Demons come pouring out.
These are rank-and-file Demons that a Savior can handle with no problem, but this would be an impossible foe for Humanity.
「I see. So I just have to take out these guys.」
I fly in the air and channel Wind magic.
Then, I create a storm and make it crash into the enemy.
The evil Demons screamed as they were swallowed by the storm, torn to shreds by the winds.
The soldiers stood there in fear, but their commanders relayed to them the information that was told to them by the War God and they immediately calmed down.
「As expected of you, Hero Rain.」
Vivi of the Heavenly Network drifts to my side.
「I’ll leave the enemies opening the Rifts to you, Vivi.」
What I need to do is probably take out a lot of enemies.
「Yes, leave it to me!」
Vivi swung her whip, and a large gash appeared on the back of a fleeing enemy general, cut by a sharp wind blade.

Not only is her Healing Magic the strongest in recorded history, she even uses it to fight.

With fists fitted with brass knuckles, she strikes a deformed Ogre that made itself bigger.

It was the Gravity Elemental spell that I used on Marie when we fought.
I unleashed it on a group of enemies before their spears met the soldiers and they were all flattened.
Marie immediately realized and looked up at me.
The majestic aura she had moments ago blew away as she had tears in her eyes.
「Rainy…?! Oh, you’ve come to save your dearest big sister! I’m so happy. The enemy was so big and scary.」
Please don’t lie.
I saw how high-spirited and unparalleled you were.
Even the soldiers were taken aback by her sudden change of attitude.
「Sorry Marie, can’t stay. Gotta head to the next area.」
「sob A Savior’s duty, yes? It cannot be helped. But, no matter where you are, Rainy, your big sis will alway-… Rainy?!」
Sorry, but Gladius is rushing me, so I gotta teleport.
