「Wow, the priest from the main church won’t notice even in front of him, huh. I see, your rank must be merely superficial」
「Y, you. How dare you, a filthy pure black speak so arrogantly at me, a prestigious priest……! What is your point!? 」
「Stop being noisy. If you don’t understand, shut up and observe」
The man simply ignored what the priest shouted. Then, he looked at Noct with his morning glow colored eyes.
「Noct. Do not hesitate. Show them the real you」
In the man’s morning glow colored eyes were only seriousness. He was neither joking nor playing around. His face that was most beautiful in the world glowed in the moonlight. Noct gulped while facing the man.
「The real, me? 」
Noct murmured with a tone of voice that wielded much bewilderment.
「Even if you say so, I, don’t know what to do」
「Don’t care about what to do. Just be true to your heart. It is alright. Haven’t Filmina and I said that we would protect you? I will help you. Just for now, believe in yourself」
At Noct’s confused voice, the man did not budge. The man’s eyes conveyed so, that Noct should be able to do so.
「B, but」
His yellow eyes turned to me as if asking for help. His eyes seemed as if they were about to cry. I could not say something irresponsible to him. Nonetheless, despite knowing this, I spoke.
「It is alright, don’t worry」
Releasing his hand I was holding, I cupped Noct’s thin cheeks with both my hands. It is alright, it is alright. I repeated these words multiple times in my heart. The words that the man had mouthed. Not only were the words directed at Noct. They were also directed at me. I did not know what the man had meant in saying, it is alright. Yet, no other that the very man had said that it was alright. Thus, I believed in him. That was why I repeated, it is alright, to Noct.
「I know that you will be alright. But, hm. If you cannot believe in yourself, then please believe in me and Edi, who believe in you」
While cupping his cheeks with my hands, I lightly bumped my forehead against his. My face was in the reflection in his yellow eyes. The face that was in the reflection in his yellow eyes now smiled calmly.
「If it is you, I am sure it is alright」
I repeated the same line once more. I was slowly whispering this to both Noct and me. No matter who says what, no matter if the very person cannot believe in himself, I will prove to the world that Edi and I can believe in him. That is why, it is definitely alright.
I had spoken with such feelings packed in my words. Upon hearing this, Noct closed his eyes. His beautiful yellow crystal-like eyes that were then slowly opened again did not wield any indecision or confusion. His eyes now held a firm resolution. Glancing at Noct, the man then raised the wand in his hand up high. The large magical sphere that was built into the tip of the wand projected a morning glow colored light that wiped away the darkness.

In concord with the man’s wand’s light, Noct who had let go of me noiselessly howled. Noct hugged his body that was gleaming with a whitish silver light. I could not open my eyes any longer.

I could not help but crouch down. It is the second time hearing this voice. However, it was different from the first time, in which the voice called for darkness. It was a howl that cut through the darkness. It was a wolf’s howl that told of the dawn.
「Noct……? 」
I dumbfoundedly muttered while opening my eyes. Something warm and wet touched my cheeks. I only realized that this was a large tongue after a while. “Something” was gently licking my cheeks lovingly. It licked so many times that I could not help but feel ticklish. While sitting down, I giggled. The man came between me and the “something”.
「Hey, stop now. Filmina, are you alright? 」
「Y, yes, Edi」
The man gently scolded the “something”. I stood up supported by the man’s hand that was reached out to me. Then, the “something” lovingly cuddled at me and the man one time each with its huge body. Its soft fur felt soothing. If possible, I wanted to bury my face in it. It was a fur that was warm and soft.
「Noct? 」
When I called, the “something”, or the large wolf licked my face again as if replying to me. I accepted this dumbfoundedly. Surely, I looked very stupid.
In the place Noct boy had been was a large wolf. If that was it, it would have been no different from the time that he was controlled by the demon. However, currently, the large wolf——Noct, had a drastic difference. It was its fur’s color. The fur that was pitch-black was now a splendid whitish silver coat.
The beautiful whitish silver fur received the gleam of the moon and stars that were twinkling above. His fur was sparkling all around. His beautiful yellow eyes held a firm consciousness in them. They also sparkled in a gold color. His eyes were like the stars that twinkled in the night sky.
Oh, I suddenly remembered. I knew this sight. Although the size is different, I had seen this whitish silver wolf in Noct’s subconscious. It was the same as that wolf. No, it was unworthy of a being titled a mere wolf. Here was not just a mere beast. It was something more holy and pure.
「———“the good winter wolf” 」
While everybody was lost for words because they were captivated by the large wolf, the man’s beautiful voice echoed in the area.
「If you are the priest of the main church, you should have heard of such a name before, hm? 」
The man continued talking at the priest. I did not understand at all. What was the man saying? What was the「———“the good winter wolf” 」? I tilted my head at these unfamiliar words. In contrast, the priest in question seemed to recognize this. This was because he paled instantly.
Don’t tell me. The priest’s lips quivered noiselessly. As if mocking him in his gaze, the man continued further.
「This……Noct, is the descendant of god who had a relationship with a human, and a backward evolution」
「R, ridiculous! There is no proof! 」
The moment the priest shouted so, suddenly in mid-air, a big magic circle appeared. The magic circle was built by layers of magical words. I could not help but close my eyes at how bright this magical circle was.
The gust of wind blew strongly. The man hugged me near him and wrapped his robe around me as if protecting me from the sudden wind. Finally, I felt from behind my eyelids that the light of the magical circle and the sudden wind was subsiding. Then, I fearfully opened my eyes. I could not help but widen my eyes.
「I have the proof」
「Princess!? 」
At this voice that I should not be able to hear at this place, I could not help but raise my voice loudly. I must let the readers understand that this was inevitable. The princess stood in front of me with a straight back. She had dozens of priests and holy nights behind her. Just diagonally behind her was her most trusted confidant, Heinrich. Hurriedly, I removed myself from the man’s arms and gratefully bowed.
