Volume 7 Extra story

It was a few days after we left the Royal Capital and reached the Schtorenvihein region. The man I call my husband was toying with the Hero……I mean. It seemed that he was having a good time「playing」with the Hero and he seemed really energetic everyday. I felt bad for the Hero, but since I have and am still causing a lot of trouble for that man because of the current situation, I was beyond grateful for being able to watch him enjoy himself. Today was another day in which that man put the Hero through some tough training. I saw that man off, together with the Hero, who found himself in the tricky situation, in the room that he had lent us as I continued to knit some small pieces of clothing for the baby. That was when I heard loud footsteps from behind the door. The footsteps seemed to be coming closer and closer. I tilted my head. My my? Finally, the door to the guest room opened in front of my eyes with a loud bang.

「Fimina! Please hide me!」

「Oh dear. When you say hide you, do you mean from Edi?」

In response to my largely confirmatory question, the Hero charged into the room, out of breath, before nodding a countless number of times. I appeared rather pitiful. 

「Sir Yuri. If you really hated it please explicitly tell Edi that yourself. If you talk to him seriously, that person would never force you to do anything. 」

No matter how kind the Hero was, it was not a good thing to indulge that man. I spoke with that in mind. However, contrary to my expectations, the Hero shook his head without a single hint of hesitation. 

「No, I don’t need to do anything like that. After all, Agedilus is doing this for my sake.」

Hearing the Hero’s words, I couldn’t help but blink. It seemed that, somehow, the Hero understood that man’s complicated way of expressing his love. Really. It was amazing that he could say the words「for my sake」in response to that man’s ruthless words and actions. The Hero had all the right to be angry if he said that he was just being used by that man to kill some time. 

The Hero who saved the entire world really is on a different caliber, I looked at him in admiration. As the Hero wiped the sweat that flowed down his face, he smiled. It was a smile that made me feel as though my heart had been purified just by looking at it. 

「As long as I can help Agedilus to enjoy his time in this land, even if it’s just a bit, a small thing like this isn’t that…….hard, is what I’d like to say. Yes, but, I don’t dislike learning all these different things from Agedilus. Actually, it might be pretty fun.」

「Hm? Then let’s continue on, shall we?」

Before we could notice it, my husband was standing behind the door. Eek! THe Hero’s body started to tremble. He turned back to look, slowly, fearfully. As he did so, that man grabbed him by the nape of his neck and pulled him away. 

The Hero’s face looked tense, but at the same time, somehow happy. As for the man who was pulling the Hero away, although he looked expressionless, he was the same. As I saw them off, I couldn’t help but let out a giggle. 

It seemed that the friendship between men was something that even a wife couldn’t truly understand. Hey, do you think so too? I asked the child in my belly.
