Chapter 185

The chill of winter has gone away, and the beginnings of spring are gradually starting to show. The day of the graduation ceremony at Galois Magic Academy is approaching now, and I, Selina, Dramina, and Lynette were cleaning our room in the boys’ dormitory.

Besides the spoils of war that I’ve collected from each of the battles we’ve fought in various regions, there were also many magic items and prototypes from classes and office requests, as well as grimoires and novels that I bought for using alchemy, and some poetry and history books too.

We also had a collection of clothes that had been tailor made for Selina, Dramina, and Lynette, along with all the leftover fabric and sewing tools.

We kept a box filled with preserved food in case something ever happened, and a barrel filled with drinking water and bottles of liquor. The Yggdrasil seedling was sitting by the window, in a spot where there was a lot of sunlight, but…

Normally, I would store our things with storage magic, much like the one Dramina uses to expand the interior space of her carriage, but when I took everything out to check, I found out that the amount of my belongings has increased a lot in the past year.

When we were living in Bern Village, we always kept our belongings light in case we had to leave the village immediately in an emergency, but I guess it must be inevitable that my lifestyle would change when the living environment changes.

Selina and the others all had their long hair tied up with cloth, and including myself, we were all wearing clothes that were easy to move in and that we didn’t mind getting dirty, as we laid out all our things in the center of the room, and began the process of sorting out what we needed, and what we didn’t need.

Dramina had been served and cared for ever since she was born, so people who only know of her background would have jumped to the wrong conclusion, and assumed that she wouldn’t know how to do things like this.

But in terms of cooking, laundry, cleaning, and all other household chores, there was nothing that Dramina couldn’t do.

Back when her country was destroyed and she was wandering around, and even before that when she was crowned queen, she had learned how to do it because she wanted to, and she had acquired a high level of domestic skills.

Ever since Selina came to Bern Village, she had always been able to handle more things than the average person could, and I also had experience living on my own too.

As for Lynette, she was created as a Living Golem, so she was given knowledge and skills about all kinds of things in this world, so she is also just as skilled as any experienced servant.

So with the four of us starting to clean and organize, the biggest objects among our things were Dramina’s bed, which was a coffin, and Lynette’s personal egg-shaped device.

This is an item that cannot be replaced, and because of the technology and materials used to make it, as well of its origin, it cannot be given to anyone else, so we decided we would take it with us to Bern Village.

With Dramina’s coffin and Lynette’s egg-shaped device lined up in front of us, Selina had her hands on her hips and she opened her mouth to speak.

「Besides these things, is there anything else that we must absolutely take with us?」

I placed my hand on my chin, and like Selina, I looked around at the objects left in the center of the room. Even considering that the four of us were living together here, wasn’t this a bit too much stuff?

「If we bring these types of books back home to Bern Village, I’m sure Shenna or Grandma Magul would be happy, and we could make use of them by setting up a library and lending them out to the villagers for free.

I plan on selling most of the magic books at the office in exchange for some money, so the amount of books here will go down. Until the transportation situation between Galois and Bern Village improves, I’d like to bring any materials that might be hard to get ahold of for a while」

「So you plan on expanding the street that you made. If we can make that road wider, we can get more people to come visit」

Like Selina mentioned, as a result of the road that we built during the summer vacation, the path between Bern Village and Clauze Village is safer and faster than ever before.

I will return after I put my personal belongings away in the carriage. And Dran, it’s fine if you spoil these two, but it’s also not so good for them if you neglect them too much. Please remember that.

Lynette picked up each of the earthenware and the glass bottles packed in the wooden box in her hands, and began to check them. I know how much is in our inventory myself, but it’s important to have multiple people check it.
