Chapter 186
The graduation ceremony at the Magic Academy is always a lively event, as the relatives of the graduates, as well as many influential merchants and commoners who have ties with them, come to attend the ceremony.
In addition, this year, there would be a small number of elves and demi-humans from the Ente Forest who have never been seen at the ceremony before.
Since the Headmaster of the Galois Magic Academy was the last queen of the kingdom that exists in Ente Forest, and was the princess priestess of Yggdrasil, the school has always had a connection with Ente Forest, but that was always nothing more than a personal connection to the Headmaster herself, and not really a deep connection to the Academy or to the Arkrest Kingdom.
The reason for this change is because last year, Diadora and some other residents of Ente Forest were enrolled in the Magic Academy to be contracted instructors. To put it another way, the invasion by the vanguard of the Demon World in Ente Forest during this time last year, was solved by all of us working together, and that was the beginning of this new development.
And so, on the grounds of the Galois Magic Academy, people from Ente Forest were included to attend the graduation ceremony.
The graduates, including myself, who had passed the examinations to skip a grade, wore deep sea-colored sashes hanging from our shoulders over our regular school uniforms, clearly showing that we would be leaving the Magic Academy today.
Selina and Dramina, who had been registered as my familiars until now, would return their medals which marked them as my familiars, and at the same time, they would be graduating from their status as my familiars today.
Selina has spent this past year, and Dramina the past half year, at this Magic Academy without causing any particular scandals, attending classes diligently with me, and actively solving requests from the office, and even expanding their own circles of communication without me knowing.
I wasn’t without some bad luck at the Academy, but I can clearly say that I was blessed with far more good luck than bad.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to set foot on the grounds of this Magic Academy again, but the memories I have of the time I spent here will always be in my heart, shining like a treasure.
The graduation ceremony itself had already ended, with the Headmaster handing out diplomas and a commemorative magic wand to every single one of the graduates on the ceremonial stage, and Phenia, who had been chosen as the representative of the graduates, had finished her speech as well.
Many of us had left the ceremony hall in the main school building to talk with close relatives and friends outside.
As if to celebrate today’s graduation ceremony with us, the sky has been clear and blue since this morning, and we all felt like it was a good sign that our futures would also be nice and clear. By the way, there was no sign that the climate-related gods were involved.
Since there weren’t normally this many people at the Magic Academy, many people were quite surprised when they would see Selina and Dramina, but this was the first time in a while that they’ve received this kind of reaction, so it felt refreshing and they didn’t mind it so much.
Because of my battles during the Magic Tournament and my relationship with Prince Sperion, a few of the nobles of my parents’ generation have been glancing at me here and there, but they haven’t come to speak to me yet.
I didn’t have any plans on selling myself to them, so I didn’t try talking to them either. For better or worse, the environment surrounding Bern Village is unique, and its Lord, Christina, whom we serve under, is also outstandingly unique.
That’s how it is, so even though it is a necessity to interact with people in noble society, I’ve been a little hesitant to do so, and I was wondering what I should do.
This is clearly just part of the whole chapter. Good to know Alphapolis’s tricks.
