But since Dran had decided that it would be better if the effects of the barrier only worked on his brethren of earth, Bahamut, Voltage, Tetsu Akebi and the others could still sense them.

The reason why he made that decision was because he believed his earth brethren would be shocked and in amazement to see that Dran himself was present to watch Vaje and Zelgasum’s battle, while Bahamut and the others would understand that Dran must have something particular in mind.

The enormous amount of heat released by these two high-ranking fire dragons caused the ground and rocks around them to boil, turning them into gas.

The interior of the barrier had become a world that would burn ordinary creatures to death the moment they stepped inside, and there wouldn’t even be any charred remains left behind.

In addition, the heat of the Ancient Dragon flames that Vaje and Zelgasum were emitting were not only effective at burning physical beings, but also spiritual beings, including spirits of the dead.
