“Hey!” I called out to the group walking ahead.

“What’s wrong, Aikawa?” Tomonori asked worriedly. I must’ve been wearing a pretty grim expression.

“Sorry. I just remembered something I need to take care of. Go on ahead without me.”

Saras’s brow twitched. She must’ve sensed what I was really thinking.

“You always disappear all of a sudden,” Mihara sighed. “You did the same thing when you went off with Miss Haruna.”

Try being a zombie for once, I thought. You’d understand the kind of crap I deal with.

“Okay then… see you at school,” Hiramatsu said with a small smile, waving before walking off. Mihara and Orito followed her toward Harajuku Station.

Tomonori and Saras stayed behind.

“Yuki, come on,” Mihara called.

“R-Right. Aikawa.”

“Go,” I told her. “And make sure they all get home safely. I’m counting on you.”
