Bureau of Onmyou

Alma: Now then, I would like to start a lecture on how the Bureau of Onmyou operates in Little Garden. Are you ready?
Asuka: O-Of course I am.
Alma: There are two faces of the Bureau of Onmyou: the first is the organization that gathered the famous onmyouji, who are basically famous exorcists responsible for the tasks such as the extermination of evil youkai and dispelling of the various curses and plagues. The other face of the Bureau of Onmyou on the other hand is a civil servant organization that was responsible for the creation of the art of stargazing as well as creating calendars.
Asuka: In other words, officially they were civil servants, and behind the scenes they were working as exorcists that protected the capital from the influence of all things supernatural, right?
Alma: That is exactly right. Although its foundation came from the continent, the concept of Onmyodo is interpreted as having been established in Japan, around the late 9th century to the early 10th century. In other words, it was a venerable organization that existed for over a thousand years.
Asuka: Over a thousand years?!
Alma: Fufu, looks like I managed to properly convey its greatness, even if only for a little bit. Out of all of the Bureau of Onmyou’s exploits, the most famous one is probably the confrontation between the Abe clan and Tamamo-no-Mae, the Nine Tailed Fox. It is also said that the Bureau of Onmyou’s war against the forces of evil is a task that is passed from one generation of onmyouji to another, and that it continues even now after a thousand years have passed.
Asuka: But if it was a Community that used to exterminate youkai, then why are they connected to the 『Onihime Alliance』?
Alma: That is because over half of the members of the 『Onihime Alliance』are the Metamorphoses who are also a part of the Bureau of Onmyou.
Asuka: In other words, this is a Community where Humans and Metamorphoses are able to coexist peacefully… do you think that such an amazing Community would be willing to become our Sponsors?
Alma: That depends entirely on Master’s approach… but we won’t know unless we try, so let’s go forward while remaining carefully optimistic.
