Greek Legends Part 3

Izayoi: Okay, now we’re going to move on to the final considerations regarding the mystery of the Chief God’s Declaration. Everyone, are you ready?
Asuka: Of course.
Izayoi: First of all, we need to talk about two of the inscriptions. Inscription 1: 「In accordance with the Chief God’s Declaration, Perseus is declared to be the firstborn son of the Great Father Zeus」 and Inscription 3: 「Heracles has a 100% probability of existence under the prerequisite conditions.」. As a speculation stemming from the above two inscriptions, we can probably say that Perseus’s probability of existence is also 100%.
Izayoi: However, just like it was said before, the probability of existence for Divine Spirits is always 50% at most. Since the worlds where Divine Spirits exist and the world where they do not exist exist at the same time, the probability of existence for any given Divine Spirit cannot exceed 50%, and the probability of existence for the children of the Gods should be around 75%. Nevertheless, if Perseus is supposed to have a 100% probability of existence, then there’s a difficult problem we have to solve in order to explain that.
Asuka: A problem… what problem are we talking about?
Izayoi: That Zeus’s probability of existence is 100% regardless of whether Divine Spirits exist or not.
Asuka: Huh….. ehhhh?!!? Is something like that even possible? You’d have to prove that something that theoretically cannot exist actually exists!
Izayoi: That’s right. But there were two things that made it happen: The Chief God’s Declaration and Danae’s maternal affection.
Asterios: So it is related to the love that his mother Danae felt for him, not to Perseus himself?
Izayoi: Exactly. Everyone, what you need to remember is that the anecdote about Danae , the king’s daughter contained two things: mythical facts and historical contradictions. Ojou-sama, can you repeat it for everyone?

Asuka: Uhm… even after being locked in a completely sealed chamber, Zeus was still able to meet with Danae and bless her with a child. That is a mythical fact.
Izayoi: Here’s a question for you then, Ojou-sama. How would it be possible for Danae, who was imprisoned in a 「completely isolated bronze chamber」to become pregnant with Perseus in a world where Divine Spirits do not exist?
Asuka: ………?
Ayato: ………. !!!
Ayato: U-Uhm… if, If Danae was imprisoned, then could it be that… uhm, well… is that what you’re getting at?
Izayoi: If the legend is to be interpreted exactly like it was told, then that can be the only possible conclusion.
Asuka: Can both of you phrase it in a way that I can understand? Do you know what they’re talking about, Suzuka-san?
Suzuka: Ehh?! Uhm, i-it would be a bit embarrassing to bring that matter out in public, or rather, this Suzuka here is a pure maiden, so talking about that stuff feels way too heavy for me…!!!
Alma: Please, do not be concerned. Master is already 18 years old as of this year, so it is fine to talk about it with her in a straightforward manner.
Izayoi: Don’t mind if I do then. As we already said twice, Danae was imprisoned in a completely isolated bronze chamber, so her circumstances didn’t allow anyone to come and go as they pleased. And yet, she was still able to conceive a child with Zeus, even though he didn’t exist. That is why there is only one possible explanation to that: Danae must have become pregnant with Perseus before she was imprisoned.
Suzuka: W-Well, I think that this explanation is still not detailed enough. Maybe Perseus was actually born as a result of the king of Argos forcing himself on his daughter… or as a result of her being raped by on e of his political opponents… or something like that…
Asuka: …….. WHAT?!!!!……
Izayoi: If Perseus was actually a child of one of king of Argos’ political opponents, then that would explain the bit about him 「being born under the star of a kingslayer」pretty nicely. Going by that logic, After Danae had her chastity defiled, she was then imprisoned in the completely isolated bronze chamber to clear her of any suspicion that she was pregnant with a child of the king’s political opponent. It all makes perfect sense.
Asuka: It… It can’t be…
Alma: Danae must’ve spent her days in the chamber overwhelmed with anxiety seeing her growing belly. If the baby would be born, then its death sentence would be pretty much confirmed, and there was no telling what would have happened to her who gave birth to it… she was probably wishing for it to just dissappear. Those thoughts were probably filling her head as she was sitting there alone, surrounded by nothing but darkness.
Izayoi: But Danae was determined to safely give birth to the child, even though she must have been questioned by her father before he imprisoned her: Whose child is it in your belly, even though you couldn’t see anyone for so long?!
Asuka: That’s… she couldn’t possibly answer a question like that!
Alma: Yes, there’s no way for her to answer that question. But if she didn’t answer, then both her and the child would’ve been killed then and there. And there was no one who would help Danae. Her father, his warriors, his political enemies who defiled her… no one would extend a helping hand to her. The whole world has become Danae’s enemy at that moment.
Alma: But no matter ho weary and beaten her heart was, she never gave up on her child.
Izayoi: And so, even though she was cornered, Danae muttered in acceptance of her fate as she held the baby in her arms…
Alma & Izayoi: 「This child is a child of our Great Father God Zeus, so if you can, then please, at the very least… let this baby live!」
Asuka: …..!!
Alma: Now then, all of the keys are finally in our hands. What did the Chief God Zeus do, what was he thinking, and what exactly did he promised to save in the Chief God’s Declaration? As his personal wet nurse, allow me to tell you everything about the Chief God.
